You just don't find service and care like this anymore. Several years ago I bought a 70's three-speed bike online. Three speed bikes have a special place in my heart because that was the first kind of bicycle that my grandfather bought for me back in the '60s. Right before the pandemic one of the pedals fell off and for 3 years it has been sitting in my shed. I decided a few weeks ago to bring it to a bicycle shop to get it replaced, and I am so glad that I did! Recycles is located on Spring Garden Street right by Mendenhall which is where I lived when I went to UNCG. Lots of nostalgia visiting that shop and parking in the neighborhood. I loved it! I lived in a bottom floor studio by Mendenhall and Carr for $85 a month! Although the shop has the latest in equipment and technology, it has a very old fashioned feel to it that I really loved. What really makes this place tick is its owner and operator, Merritt White. As soon as I walked into the shop with my bike and waited my turn, I was so impressed how personal he was with each of his customers. Nobody was rushed, all questions were thoroughly answered and you felt like he had a personal relationship with every one of his customers, whether they were young or old, replacing a tire or wanting to enhance their bike in whatever way. Merritt had all the answers! He told me to come back in 45 minutes and so I thoroughly enjoyed walking down to Tate Street and visiting my old haunts like the Taylor theater and the music building. Upon my return, my bike was fixed and I was thrilled to have it back. I was so impressed with Merritt and his his shop that I had him also replace the tires on my other old fashioned bike. Now I'm riding around my neighborhood in cool White Walls! Who the hell do I think I am? Lol I happened to notice that Recycles also recycles old bikes ( hence, the name!) and donates them or sells them cheaply to those in need. With that in mind, I donated a really cool red bike that I had in my shed and hope Recycles finds a good home for it. Should make some kid happy! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the place to go whether you have an old bike or a new one. He is very knowledgeable and I marveled listening to him talk to each customer. While I waited my turn, there was a young boy with his mom, an avid racer, a new customer and people from all walks of life. Each one was made to feel special, as if they were family, And it was obvious several customers have a long-term relationship with Recycles. I was extremely impressed with the customer service and the service I received. With the weather getting warmer and Greensboro becoming a friendlier place for bicyclists, I cannot think of a better resource for us to have than Recycles. Conveniently located by UNCG and run by a knowledgeable and personable bicyclist, I would say this is definitely the place to go if you are needing advice, gear, equipment, whether your bike is new or old. In no time at all, Recycles will make you feel welcome. listened to and serviced in the best possible way. Got to go. It's time to ride around my neighborhood in my fancy new white walls! Don't be jealous. Go to Recycles and get your own!!

Merritt (owner) and James were so easy to work with. Quality service that made me feel like home. Merritt hooked my bike up the same day I brought it in and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Needless to say I'd recommend this shop to anyone that needs a knowledgeable bike staff that offers quality service. Mahalo

Called the dealership, made an appointment assuming that they had to reset the light with their proprietary software. The day before my appointment they called and told me they sold my wheel speed sensor to another customer that did not have an appointment and was a walk in. They did not have another appointment until two weeks later. Show up early for the appointment two weeks later, they start working on my bike right away. Two hours later they are done. During the post repair inspection I noticed the front headlight cover was not fully installed. For $115 per hour shop rate and $200+ sensor I expect better quality and customer service. I'll ride further or trailer my bike next time I need service. Don't recommend.

I stopped by to check out the bike, which looked as good as new, so we made the deal. In short, it's a great bike, at a fair price, and even came with some un-advertised expensive upgrades (factory panniers and carbon slip-on exhaust). The manager (sorry I forgot his name) made the process of purchase (with a check) and registration easy, if not speedy. About the dealership: it's probably the best Ducati/BMW dealership I've been to, and I've been to many. It's spacious, has lots of inventory, lots of super-high-quality accessories, and complete lines of Ducati, BMW, and Klim clothing. In short I'd recommend this dealership to any of my riding buddies.

When I came back for the break in service to be done, I watched a young man that had came into the store wanting to buy a new M1000RR. He had never owned or ridden a bike before and wanted this for his first bike because he loved BMWs. I watched the sales people talk him out of this bike, which to me says a lot about them. They could have made the sale and sent him on his way, not caring what would happen to him just about the sale. They convinced him to buy a cheaper bike and get some experience for a couple of years before buying the M1000. You don't see this much anymore, it's all about the sale nowadays. Sure they could have sold the bike because thats what the customer wanted, and said well he shouldn't have bought such a bike as his first but thats what he wanted. They knew he would have injured himself or someone else and cared enough to talk to him. Says a lot about the staff at the dealership. I would recommend anyone to Motorcycles of Greensboro after seeing this. To Paul the store manager, you have a great team and hope you are proud of them.
