Wow !!!! Dealing with this group was the best. I had found a RV that I wanted from 3 dealers and made contact.The first 2 were so far off with price and trade in I wasnt even going to waste my time with the 3rd dealer (Camping World of Macon) But I received a follow up Email from Pamala from CWM I told her it seem that I wasn't going to be able to make a deal,She said give us a try. The manger gave me a call Myron? Called and asked what numbers did I need !!!! That's when it started thru emails and text from salesman Archie We agreed on a deal. SO UPSET! We purchased a 2017 Impact toy hauler from Camping World of Byron, Ga in February. They went on and on, bragging about their super customer service and their extraordinary service department - WHAT A JOKE! The sales reps made promises they couldn't keep and the service dept is the worst we've ever experienced. It's now the end of April and we still have unresolved issues. We've called the corporate office but still no help. They continue to lie and make excuses why they can't fix our problems when and how they've promised. The wife and I decided it was time to purchase a travel trailer and we chose to visit camping world in Macon since it was close. To start they had a nice inventory and a good selection of travel trailers to look at. We were helped right away and given a golf cart ride out to the lot which was nice since it was raining. Randy our salesman showed us a few models that fit our constraints and went through the whole gambit of big to small. Only minor complaint here was some of the travel trailers we visited doors were open and wet on the inside due to the rain. The one we bought wasn't but i could see it causing issue for someone else. We ended up choosing a Pioneer Bh250 as the right size and model and started the paperwork. Randy, was new, and could answer most of the questions but could probably stand to do some training and some homework on what he's trying to sell and listen to what the customer wants and not push the biggest riff with all the bells and whistles. Paperwork went through fine and scheduled a delivery a week out. They asked what vehicle we had, I responded that I had a GMC 1500, and was told that was fine. Fast forward to delivery day and I go to start the walk through and I get asked about my weight distribution hitch... I shrugged my shoulders not knowing what it was. Randy brought me to the service department and told me to talk to Bob then disappeared. Finally I found Bob and he said it wasn't necessary to have the hitch but it could be dangerous to the vehicle to not have one. He worked with me and got the price down to $450. This was a big purchase we weren't planning on and we were obviously upset because we could of rolled it into the loan and had asked Randy about hitches prior to pick up and were given a vague answer. At this point our experience felt like a 2 Star review and we were to the point of almost walking out and purchasing elsewhere when George, the senior saleman stepped in and worked with us. George asked us our opinion, gave his recommended action and helped us out a lot. He went and talked to the sales manager and they ended up comping us the $450 hitch that we needed. Fast forward another hour and the hitch was being installed and we got our walk through. Jim did our walk through, and seemed knowledgeable on what he was saying but the walk through seemed rushed because it was the end of the day. Once the walk through was done John, the service tech came out and walked us through the hitch setup. John was super knowledgeable and helpful, very personable and even pointed out a broken lamp cover we didn't notice on the walk through and said he would make sure a replacement was on order. Overall very pleased with our purchase. Shout out to John and George as they sealed the deal for us being continued customers at camping world. If you go to camping world make sure to ask for George and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. read more

I ask them to fix the leak in the return vent when rain it is leaking and ac is not running. had them fix the slide because it was sticking They had adjust the slide be for we left because was still sticking so if u want warranty work done on your camper don't take to camping world in Byron ,Ga take to some that no what they doing read more

Worst customer service department you will ever come across. Very unprofessional. We bought a brand new 2015 camper in April and in June the slide fell completely out and the problems were like a domino effect. We were told "they were finished with us and that we needed to get the camper". They refused to deal with the manufacturer and wouldn't return their calls or mine for a month. I went down to speak to who is supposed to be the customer service manager that wouldn't returns calls for a month either and she immediately told us to leave or she was calling the police. I've never seen a business run so poorly but they are very eager to bend over backwards to sell you a camper. We wouldn't buy a roll of toilet paper from these people. read more

I have owned 4 toy haulers, two from mid -state and two from camping world. All were brand new. The last 2015 Fusion Chrome I purchased had electrical issues that affected the entire unit. Slides, lights, generator issues, leveling to name a few. They kept it for months. Kelly the manager in a meeting with the finance manager Miranda even said " we might not be able to fix it.." Kept it 6 weeks and said it would be ready in another 4. I turned it back in and demanded my money back. Kelly simply said he could not do that and turned and walked off...Soon to follow Kelly was moved, Miranda was given a store ( great story on these two) Shauna the service manager and two techs left for Camper Inn....Mean while the customers suffer and CW could care less. read more

If I could I would give zero stars.Worst customer service I ever experienced.We were scheduled to see our brand new camper that we paid $13,000 for the day before so they could show us all the "how to's " and after almost 3 hours we finally got to see it but only after I threatened to make a LOUD scene in front of all their shoppers.Even then it took forever.Nobody knew what was going on all I could get for an answer was a ton of "I don't knows".Worst managed retail store I ever seen.They told us they would deliver it to our property the next week and a few days later after we could not get a straight answer on that I again had to call them and get angry with them .They were to bring it to our place at 3pm.At 3:30 nobody was there then they call and say their truck had been broke down and we did not get a call until after the time we were suppose to meet for delivery .I had taken time off from work and they no show us.No manager has ever bothered to call us and I sent many emails to the company and even one to Marcus and NO REPLY back.Hope to GOD we never have a problem with the camper if their service is that bad I could not imagine having to let them work on it.I will never spend a dime in the Byron Georgia location not even a candy bar and coke.If you had/have good experience at this store YOUR LUCKY. read more

This Camping World used to be great when we started coming here 3 years ago to have our RV's serviced. Unfortunately now I would tell you to go anywhere but here for your service. In the last 6 months we've had to return 6 different times because they didn't correctly repair the item. It's a 3 hour round trip for us. We spoke to the service manager who basically did nothing. Left two messages for the General Manager and he NEVER called. They had management changes a while back and it seems as if they weren't for the better, at least not where the customer is concerned. So instead of singing their praises, which is what we used to do, we now send people someplace else. The one shining light is Andy, our service writer. We believe he actually cares about our concerns but can only do so much. read more

The first salesperson was ill informed and seemed to not be really interested in helping me. I spoke to the sales manager "Chris" I believe is his name and he said he would have another sales person call me that was very experienced. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. Worst experience of my life trying to buy a new camper. They tried to sell me a used camper that the entire back wall was falling in due to water damage. I should have give them 5 stars, I left and went to Mid state RV which is located directly across the interstate. Within one hour they had me and my wife in the camper of our dreams. I went to Camping World in Byron, GA to have a fridge replaced with a smaller fridge. This was the worst installation ever. They took out the entrance door and frame to remove fridge. The new fridge wasn't framed in or insulated around fridge. Didn't anchor electrical outlet, it is flopping around. Drain hose wasn't attached to floor drain, Instead they punched hole in outside grill to stick hose out. The water line from old fridge wasn't capped and the value is pushing out the grill letting water seep into the compartment. kinked propane copper tubing in 3 places they broke the entrance step switch and didn't replace it. They didn't reseal around the frames they removed and replaced, door, fridge grill and outside radio compartment. Other repairs charged for and didn't do, emergency brake, air booster brake, fresh water pump. Had to give one star to post otherwise no stars. read more

I purchased a RV in July and still as of Oct. 4 can not get the paper work to get a tag. I have made many calls and they will not return my calls. Monday they told me to call another store because they do not do the title work in Macon but they wouldn't give me the number, I was told I could find it on the internet. I have made calls to that store also ( Oakwood Ga,) They also will not return calls either. Today I had to demand to speak with the person who does the paper work who says my paperwork was lost in the mail and they have requested the title work from the manufacture on 9-25, yet she could not return my call to let me know that they were actually looking into the issue. As far as I knew no one was doing anything because my messages were going unanswered. I have already gotten a extension on my temp tag but can not get another one unless someone pays for it. Camping World says they will not pay. So I have a Motor home that I can't put on the road because my calls were ignored for 8 or more weeks. If someone would have followed up this would not be a issue now. read more

We bought a 39 foot fifth wheel from Camping World of Macon. The sale went pretty good but on the way home one of the emergency windows fell out. They replaced the window within a reasonable time. We got home with the camper again and let the awnings out and found several puncture holes in the canvass over the front door. Took pictures of it and immediately called them. Sent the pics to them per email, as requested. That wasn't good enough for the warranty dept so we drove over 3 hours round trip to haul it there so they could take their own pictures. That all happened in August 2016, and now they are telling us that we bought a $70,000 brand new fifth wheel with holes in the awning and they aren't going to replace it per warranty dept. The service dept won't return calls and when I finally got them on the telephone they said they were going to text me the warranty dept phone number in 2 min., week later, no number. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

This place is the absolute WORST place I've ever done business with. I made the mistake of purchasing a 2017 Jayco camper from them this year and my experience was awful. I was told the unit came with certain features that it actually did not. I did not find this out until after signing the paperwork to purchase and doing my walk through. The owner tried to haggle me into taking a store credit worth $500 rather than offering to give me what I was promised when purchasing. The walk through also revealed several other issues like a wall lamp missing and exposed wires hanging out, 2 TVs mounted in the wrong place, pull out bed leg needed repairs to make work properly, dirt and stains on the floor, outdoor grill hinge broke needed repairing to name a few. After pointing these issues out I was told I would have to come back and pick it up later in the week. On my way to pick it up later in the week I called 45 min prior to arriving to let them know I would be there soon. When I arrived I had to wait another 45 min to complete a walk through. Once the walk through began it was clear that nothing had been done to the unit. The light fixture was still hanging off the wall and cords hanging out along with all the other issues I mentioned above still there. I should have walked away then and told them to keep it and refund my deposit. I unfortunately gave them another chance to make it right. When I finally went back and got the unit and pulled it home I noticed one of the shades would not stay up and the furnace would not work. This place is an absolute shit hole when it comes to customer service. STAY AWAY!!!!!! read more

My Warranty has ended, like it mattered I had it. Warning DO NOT buy a RV here. Once the sale is final so is the service. I bought a unit with a MRSP of 133,000.00 It was 3 days late being delivered without a valid reason. It was not delivery ready, lights out, generator didn't work (would not start) took it back had to wait 3 weeks for them to even look at it. Transit customers were more important and were taken care of first. A month later the AC failed, They refused to replace it until after Coleman the manufacture OK it. That took several weeks too, don't think they even tried until I got mad. They installed a new unit but didn't test it out. It leaked condensation into the RV when it was turned on. I had to take the unit back to them and wait several more weeks to get it fix and returned. Missed camping trips to the mountains because their failures to provide any form of customer service or care. Their motto: We have your money, NOW GET LOST!!! read more
