I am happy to give 5+ stars to Mid-State RV and their Service Department for the excellent attention and service I was given when I purchased a weight-distribution hitch from them. Even though I bought the trailer elsewhere, they treated me like I was their most important customer. When I called and spoke to April, she went out of her way to get me an appointment on the day I needed one. I really want to thank Billy and Dennis for recommending the Eaz-Lift r3 Recurve weight-distribution hitch, it is amazing. They took the time to explain how to use it and to make sure it was adjusted correctly for my specific towing needs. After it was installed, I drove over 2,000 miles to get home to Las Vegas and Dennis continued to follow up during my trip to make sure that everything was going well. BEWARE ! These people will scam you !!! We bought our RV from them. So ALWAYS had them service after any long trips. The generator was running rough so we had them service it for a few hundred dollars. RV sat for 2 years as I had a major surgery. Cleaned her up and started checking everything. Generator wouldnt start for nothing. SO ordered a fuel filter after looking at one on there. It was totally rusted, NO WAY that could happen as it was covered and had not been used since serviced (SUPPOSEDLY by them) It tried to start but still wouldnt. So went and got spark plugs. Now mind you, this generator had not been started 1 time since their scam service. These plugs were fouled, covered in black soot, no way they could fire. At the part store they hooked me up, but gy asked me, who put those in Adam ? I said not sure was at Mid State RV. He started laughing and said no he meant Adam and Eve as those things were shot !! Bottom line, the staff at Mid State will stick it to you if given half the chance. Dont even ask me about the BRAND NEW camper we first purchased from them , that didnt leak but POURED in rain and we made them take it back and got the RV ! A huge regret of mine to have purchased a brand new, Braxton Creek 2022, Free Solo Fam trailer back on January 15th from Mid state RV sales rep Don Little and Manager Brandon Tarlelton in Byron, Ga. I had hoped to enjoy investing in the camper for having retired and served my country. First I waited nearly three weeks for a registered metal tag which I did receive so that I can take it and store it in Florida. I immediately drove back from North Georgia to Mid state RV on Febuary 10th to pick up and take my new RV to Florida. Sad to say, this dealership, really must've thought that unlike the brand new pristine condition that my investment was in when I bought it. Upon my arrival to retrieve, the trailer's floor is now damaged unlike the state that it was in when I did the walk through with the nice porter named Jason, who lead the walk through of my new investment weeks prior. Sadly, upon me expecting my trailer being new and ready for me to take with me. Don Little obviously seemed that I would overlook the fact I didn't see the evident issues as the damaged floor, the filthiness of my new investment inside and out, the toilet seemingly unwrapped, used and visibly soiled being present, very poor presentation of delivery, several directions were going back and forth among by Don and his immediate colleagues that inspected afterwards which resulted in me not being able to receive the delivery due to Don's report that the claim manager name Erica (who I yet haven't heard from) not being in and that it can take four weeks one porter there said to have floor replaced! Needless to say, I had to leave Byron, lose my RV storage spot that I had on a waiting list at the air base in Florida to someone else. That same week I escalated by reaching Brandon Tarlelton via email to express my frustration, that I reached out to Don who then called me three days later to say, he's working on it and no other follow ups since and my investment is still in their possession. In the meantime, I'm losing invested money by not utilizing what I purchased while making monthly bank payments for this trailer. I'm expressing my misfortune for all to know until there's a resolution and beyond. It's now Mid March, no resolution, no follow ups as I mentioned, In all seriousness, my money back would do wonders so that another RV business that possesses integrity and legitimately cares could benefit from me being a loyal and credible consumer! There's absolutely no way that I or anyone should be going through this. Having invested in Midstate-RV was a true waste of money and time. This business is a poor waste, buy elsewhere, you'll be glad you did. I'm in a deplorable situation as this dealership has shown no concern towards doing what is right by to undoing the wrong that that they're demonstrating to me. We bought our 2021 Chaparral 5th wheel in April 2021. We want a Reese hitch. They recommended the Anderson hitch. It was the wrong hitch for our 2021 GMC dually. We purchased in March 2021. First trip the hitch moved and bent both of our fender wells. We let them know. We were in PA. They told use to tighten down the bolts. We did. The hitch moved two more times. One of the times it crushed our cord for the RV. They kept putting us off. We took the hit and replaced the hitch and cord at our own expense. We also had the fender wells fixed at our own expense. We also had some items that needed replacement in our unit. We finally gave up and replaced the items out of pocket. We love our fifth, but can not recommend Midstate. Buyer be where. read more

She is kind, caring and patiently listened to what had happen to our RV. Randy Nix took good car of us and our RV on a Saturday and went above and beyond. Wait, I haven't even told you how amazing Trevin Turner and his team are! We have been in constant contact with him and he also went above and beyond. Got the new air conditioner (still under warranty) and installed it, repairs are moving along to get our family back on the road as quickly as possible. Trevin is great to work with. If you ever need repairs done and a great company to work with I would highly.....highly recommend. I would actually drive our unit from middle Tenn to Byron just to have them work on it. I was traveling north on I -75 in my Bounder with full black and grey tanks and a macerator pump that wouldn't work, headed.for the FMCA rally in Perry I used Yelp to find RV service in the Perry area and this service center came up. After reading the excellent reviews I called them, still 60 miles away from exit 149. When I explained what my problem was, I was told they were fully booked that day, but suggested if I stopped by they would dump my tanls for me but could. not do anything about the pump motor An hour later I arrived. and they removed part of the macerator connection and emptied the tanks. Then, after an hour at the facility,I was on my way back sourh to Perry very satisfied. Their fee was quite reasonable, and I am happy to award them five stars. read more

I purchased a 28' Dynamax from Mid-State RV in August 2020. The first morning after purchasing it I couldn't get the slide-out to come back in. I called Mid-State, and after a considerable amount of effort I was finally put through to Billy, their expert. I described the situation and all he could suggest was that it must be a broken cotter pin. I told him that based on the symptoms it seemed like it might be an electrical issue, but he insisted that it was a cotter pin and said I'd need to call a mobile repair technician. So I did, but unfortunately after calling all the ones in the area, no one was available for several days. However, the assistant who answered the phone at one of the mobile services asked if I had set the parking brake, which I had not. She also suggested that I turn off the main battery switch for about 30 seconds and then and turn it back on, explaining that these slide-outs can be finicky on an older RV. I did as she suggested and it worked first time. I asked if she was also a tech, and she said that she just answers the phones, but owns an RV and knows a couple of tricks. So why didn't Billy "the expert" suggest either of these things? Billy was also the guy who was supposed to send us a few parts that were missing when we took delivery, including one that he broke right in front of us by forcing the awning open. I could clearly see that it was stuck and I shouted, "stop, you're going to break it", and he did. But what he didn't do was ever send us any of the parts that they were supposed to sent. The next issue that we discovered was that the 2006 Dynamax we purchased was in fact a 2005 according to the door sticker, and the title, but Mid-States' documentation and sales information all showed it as a 2006. After climbing the food chain at Mid-State RV, and finally arriving at Rex, the General Manager, who promised over the several very pleasant conversations that we had, that he would look into these issues and get them resolved, he did the same as Billy , nothing! He never called back despite several attempts on my part to get him to do so. So you might wonder why I gave them a 2 star rating instead of 1. The answer is Nick. He was our salesman and a very nice young man who was clearly working hard, probably to try and compensate for all of the flakes that he works with. He was doing everything he could to try to help us at the beginning, but once I got to Rex I stopped reaching out to Nick, since he obviously couldn't do anything more than the boss could. The bottom line on Mid-State RV is caveat emptor! You'll be treated like a king until you drive over the curb in your new, probably falsely marketed RV. After that, good luck getting anyone there to deliver anything more than lip service. read more

I am trying to reach Billy Bishop, your Delivery Center Mgr. He does RV work on the side. He washed and coated my RV roof, then left tyee to work on my neighbors rig without drying it, so water and chemicals dropped down and appears to have partially removed the paint leaving charcoal colored smudges on white paint and chalky white drip markings. He gave me his personal cell but he has not responded to texts since 7/28/19 and when I call, his mailbox is full. I called Mid State RV, the operator was unable to transfer me so she took a msg. and gave me the same cell # I've been trying to contact him on. I explained that he doesn't respond and she said he wasnt good at returning calls and even though he was working on personal time, it would be unfair to leave a bad review, and I couldn't disagree more. For anyone considering doing business with MidState: read some of the reviews and stay away from the Service Department! Find somewhere else to do business. I would leave zero stars if it were possible. Since the purchase in July of 2020, I have had possession and use of our camper for approximately eight weeks. We experienced numerous issues with the camper- powder post beetles chewing out of the drywall, glass top stove exploded, damaged doors, water leaks, and our unit was there for months. Excuse after excuse from the service department, poor communication, delays, lies. The entire service department is an absolute nightmare. Save yourself time, money and lots of aggregation by avoiding this place at all costs. My stove is still missing screws, still full of glass shards, and the water leak in the bathroom- still leaking. The people at Mid State do NOT care about you, your camper, or anything except making a buck. I tried to email/call/left messages for the General Manager, owners, somebody, anybody that would help us get some decent service and satisfaction with our camper, nothing... My experience with Mid State is that no one there values the customer after the sale. I believe there has been an intentional effort to delay timely repairs by the MidState service department by failing to initiate timely requests to the warranty provider, and perform repairs. This behavior began in August of 2020. The service department manager indicated there was turnover in the department to fix this issue, well NOTHING has changed. If employees are underperforming at any level, the senior management team is ultimately responsible and culpable for their performance. read more

I only rate MidState RV one star because I can't put negative stars. To give them any stars is to rate them too high. I purchased a 23ft Coachmen Orion MidState RV last January and at the time of purchase, it seemed like I was making the right decision. This was my first time buying an RV and I made the mistake of trusting that the sales Staff was informed. In looking for my new home on wheels, I repeatedly confirmed with both Patty, my salesperson and Billy, the head mechanic that the RV would be able to tow my compact SUV (they confirmed this was possible multiple times), that the outlets would run off of the house battery and lastly that the RV got decent gas mileage. I confirmed with both Patty and Billy that the outlets would run while traveling and, only after purchasing the vehicle, learned that this was not the case. I called and they led me to believe something was wrong and it should be working. I was directed to the manufacturer who also told me it should be working. I later received a phone call from the manufacturer apologizing that the outlets DO NOT actually run off of the house battery and they were all misinformed. I called the dealership and they refused to do anything and advised me to purchase an inverter. This should have been my first red flag. Patty also told me at the time of sale that the RV would get 16-18mpg. It gets 11mpg at best. Lastly and most importantly, I confirmed with both Patty and Billy that the towing capacity was 5,000lbs. I pointed to my car and asked Billy if the RV would tow it and he said absolutely! In May, my partner and I were set to drive from FL to VT when we discovered that the towing capacity was only 2,500lbs! Not even enough to tow my partners lightweight coupe. This of course put a huge delay in our travel and added lots of expenses as we then had to drive the RV and vehicle the entire trip. We called them and they said to come in and we would discuss the issue. We returned to the dealership as soon as we could and the manager, Scotty seemed receptive about our issue and apologetic that his staff had been so misinformed. It seemed they were going to try to help us out. We left the RV there for some repairs and came back ready to discuss our next moves. At this point, Scotty gave us an offer that doubled our payments! We were quite surprised by this and made it very clear that they needed to make us a better offer due to the fact that they sold us the RV under false pretenses and it was not at all what we thought we were purchasing. He directed us to fill out an owner complaint form and said we would hear from the owner, Lee Pickard. That was over two months ago. I spent the last two weeks attempting to get ahold of Scotty to ask what the status was and left multiple messages to no avail. I finally called and sat on hold for 40 minutes before I was finally able to reach Scotty, who seemed very annoyed to hear from me. I asked about the status of my complaint and he basically told me there was nothing he could do. I made it clear that I expected to hear back from the owner or I would move forward with putting my story out there for others to see and he began talking over me and directed me to the owners voicemail abruptly in the middle of my speaking. I left the owner a voicemail almost a week ago and have heard nothing. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE AN RV FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! GO ELSEWHERE OR EXPECT TO BE PURCHASING FROM AN UNINFORMED STAFF AND NON-RESPONSIVE MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE CUSTOMERS' BEST INTEREST IN MIND. Stay away from Mid State RV. Great pre-sale attention. HORRIBLE post sale attitude. Once the sale was closed, the salesman Brent would not return my phone calls, emails or texts. I wanted to ask Billy Bishop the walk-through guy a follow up question. The receptionist would not connect me to his number and Brent after several requests gave me the wrong number and would not respond after that. As a part of the sale, the motorhome was to come with a windshield cover. It took numerous phone calls and emails to get it sent me. When it finally arrived, it was the wrong one. Amazingly I called and they have no returns or price matching. Remember I was there 10 minutes ago so it's not like I've used the part. We purchased a brand new 2016 trailer from Mid State RV and on one of our first trips the bracket holding the wiring harness broke and the wires were rubbing on the tires. My husband stopped and purchased something to push it back up to get us home and we took it back into the service department where during the peak summer time they kept our RV 9 weeks! Well when we brought the camper back home a few weeks ago I hard a loud pop and my husband has just gone under the slide and they rigged the harness under the slide with a spot weld!!! The wiring is hanging down on the tires again! This was a warranty fix, no $ out of their pocket and they rigged it! Also when we bought the camper we noticed that both recliners were damaged and they promised us for over a year to replace them but that never happened either! We Will NEVER buy anything from them again! NEVER! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I dont even know where to begin. I purchased my brand new 2020 forest river camper in May and after the first camping trip things started to break. Had a laundry list of broke things when I took it into the service department in June. They had it for FOUR months... FOUR!!! When I picked it up when they said it was "ready" the trim in the ceiling was handing out, the fridge wasnt even screwed into the wall, the slide still scrubbed the kitchen island, and three days after we got it home it started SMOKING!!! Took it down there again and they call me two weeks later and say they "think it is just a bad cell in the battery so they replaced the battery." Go to pick it up again and when we get there the battery is dead... again. And their first response was to blame it on my husband's truck. Saying it made the battery die when he plugged it up to take it home. THEN, he gets 2 miles down the road and service light, check engine light, etc. came up on his truck along with "reduced power" message. Turned around and they tell him there's a problem with his truck there's nothing they can do. Yet have pulled various other trailers with that truck with no issues and as soon as you unplug it the lights go off... Called Forest River coorperate warranty department and the manager there said there was definitely more of an issue than just a battery and is having a mobile mechanic sent to my house to fix it sent the "service department" at Mid State cant seem to figure it out. A complete joke of a service department. Do NOT even waste your time taking your unit to them. Every time they touch it, something else on my camper goes wrong and it's getting worse and worse. Had to have service a couple of months later , Scotty and Chad ( service department )worked together to coordinate the service that we needed ( we live 3 hours away ) I was allowed to stay with the coach inside Mid State's locked lot ( full hookups ) at no extra charge. If they did a good check and reported the problems I would have paid to have them fixed. I asked the owners to call me and I never heard from them.
