We had a great experience at Campfire Gather Round in Helen, GA! The service was good, and the food was delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. The atmosphere was also really nice and made for a great dining experience. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend giving them a try!

We walked in at the last minute and didn't realize it was closing time. Once I did, I was horrified and told them to put everything in to go boxes instead of sitting and eating. They insisted that we stay. I'm glad we did because we got to see something I rarely see. They don't just wipe the top of their tables. They clean underneath them and wipe the bottoms of the table tops. I almost cried. This made me feel so happy about this choice. We are forever customers. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. You couldn't ask for better! This is a must try!!!

This place was surprisingly good! The servers were very nice and it was cute but casual inside. We got the ribeye with Mac and cheese and the corn salad, and the pulled pork sandwich with fries. I liked that there was seasoning on the fries but it wasn't my absolute fav. Not bad though! The ribeye was cooked to our liking and seasoned well! I was a little upset there wasn't any other vegetable option but you could get a side salad. I was just hoping for some broccoli or green beans. My other note is that it's a decent sized restaurant but they only have one bathroom. Pretty inconvenient. Otherwise this was a great stop!

While visiting Helen this place had some great reviews so we gave it a shot . Service was excellent, from beginning to end. Our waitress Alyssa was very kind, attentive and made sure everything came out perfect. In addition the support provided from the other waiter and waitress was great to see. The place was slow and we were able to get seated immediately. However, even when a place can be slow there might not be enough follow up to make sure everything is good. This was not the case here at Campfire. Again, phenomenal service. Food was great. The nachos weren't your typical chips, they were wonton style, so a little soft and some crunch, but the plate was loaded. The chili came out hot and was loaded with toppings, loved the cornbread croutons in it. The smash burger was very filling, stacked with 2 patties, bacon, soft bread and great side of fries. Overall would come back to check out more items in the menu. Once again, excellent service complimented the food.

Campfire is a must have if you are hungry and looking for a plate of food that is going to fill your stomach and make you leave feeling happy. Our server AJ was so pleasant and even with a full restaurant and a lot of people waiting to eat, the staff was pleasant and doing a great job at serving and pumping out food. I had the smash burger with bacon and it was delicious! The menu said the beef is locally sourced and the flavor/ seasoning was great! The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned as well. Overall a great experience in a nice looking restaurant. If you are in Helen looking for a bite to eat, look no more!

Our server was great Food was good. I would recommend the chips & queso! Decent food, mostly decent prices. The music was fire AF though so if you go to dinner in hopes of taking in some awesome tunes, you'll be happy here I do want to add they might want to check some of their entitled younger staff members. We originally sat outside but there were two toddlers that started screaming and crying. They continued for over 5 minutes so I asked if we could move inside. Literally after only being sat for 7 minutes and our server had only brought us water. Coming from the industry I understand this creates an issue with servers and their sections so I get it but to have a server be rude and make a snide comment "well let me know if the next one is actually my table and I can have my section back" AS SHE WALKED PAST OUR TABLE was so incredibly uncalled for. But I do understand her frustration. But being rude to the customer bc another customer made a situation very unpleasant isn't how you should handle it. I almost left 3 stars bc of this but it's not fair to everything and everyone else there that was awesome

Helen Georgia~ Cute lil cafe! I had the fried green tomato salad. I love fried green tomatoes. These were nicely breaded, but very mushy and tasteless tomatoes. Disappointing, but the rest of the salad, including their smoked Caesar salad dressing, was really delicious. Cornbread croutons topped off the salad and they were super yummy. Everyone else had a version of the smash burger. One person had chili cheese fries, one person had a gluten-free bun, someone else had regular fries, and one also had the Mexican street corn salad. All agreed that the burgers were juicy and delicious! Sides were good too! Definitely would recommend this place, even though the service was extremely slow. I think the guys made the food with love and patience.

Stopped in after our hike in Helen cause some of the locals recommended it to us. Everything was just alright. The place was pretty empty but the service was super slow. The pork was definitely the best thing we ordered but it was dry could use more sauce.

Ohhhh Yes! Love the food, unique, fun, and you can tell everything on the menu had thought put into it. You have to keep coming back because there's so many items I want to try! Everything we ate was delicious. Daughter had a burger, I had the nachos, husband had their fried chicken, son chicken fingers, other son had fish and chips. After a fun afternoon making candles in Sautee Nacoochee we asked for lunch recommendations and this place sounded great. So we headed over to Helen for some burgers. There was a huge parking lot inside a plaza with other stores. Warning that my cell service was very intermittent while they to navigate here so plan ahead for directions. We took a seat and the menu had a lot of appetizing choices. We went with the smash burgers and they were delicious. The fries were well seasoned too. If I had room for dessert I would've kept going. I really wanted to try the campfire s'mores pie. The food was a 5/5. The service was good and attentive. My family and I were engaging In conversation and catching up with each other. Now this is where the lower rating comes in. We were politely asked to vacate our table after we had finished our food. We were deep in conversation and told that they were prepping for the dinner rush. I wouldn't say it is completely unfair to request this, however it wasn't the vibe we were going for. It did sour the experience the bit. If you are looking for a quick in and out meal, this is your place. The food is delicious and there are so many tempting things on the menu. However, if you are looking for a slower paced meal where you can chat and hang around a bit after, this is not the place.

We were on a nice weekend visit to Helen, Georgia and stopped in here because of the other reviews. They won't let you down, great food, fast service and the night we were there they had live music. I ordered the smash burger and it was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the nachos as his main and they were huge! read more

We had a very nice experience and some really good food.. The service was very good and although it was off the beaten paths in Helen the prices were fair. Normal looking restaurant and a very friendly staff. Definitely worth a try when in Helen. read more

What a great place to eat in Helen. Truly an exceptional meal. It took a minute to get waited on but they were very busy on a Friday night. It was WORTH THE WAIT!!!! My salad was amazing. My hubby had the chicken sandwich and said it was very good. We debated whether to got the smash burger or steak but the portions were huge! Others around us were enjoying them though!! Great food . The smash burgers are off the charts delicious and big. They make a delicious salmon fettuccine dish. Very friendly and the customer service is exceptional as well. Love love love! I ordered lunch from this place since they first opened several times. The nachos are out of this world!!!! That street corn, though! The smore dessert! I'm not a fan of s'mores and it's one of my favorite things! The flavors are thoughtful and individual lot stand out in every dish in the list delicious blend! This is the kind of place you can call and say I'd like to have a dinner for two, surprise me.. and trust that it's gonna be good! (I've done this before) read more

In a world (NE Georgia) of not great restaurants Campfire is a standout. I've been three times so far and headed there tonight for trivia. The food is good but can be salty. I like the burger and the nachos. Service is usually pretty quick even if it looks like only a couple people work there. The interior is getting nicer. When we first went the overhead fluorescent lighting was pretty harsh. Now instead the dining room is light with strings of lights for a better, cozier feel. Keep getting better Campfire! read more

Everything was exceptional from the hostess to our waiter, Will, to the food, drinks and entertainment! We started with the steak and chicken nachos. I can't say enough good things about this brand new entrant to the Helen restaurant scene. The hand cut 14 oz ribeye steak is easily the best in the county, and would hold its own in a big city restaurant. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and was served with a butter poached lobster tail that haunts my dreams. Another standout is the smashburger with crinkle fries. Desserts are made in house by the talented young pastry chef and are always fantastic. I give this place my highest possible recommendation! read more

Pathetic is all I have to say. We are in town for my mother's birthday, it was a busy night and we knew there would be a wait. so we put our name down and waited about 35-40 mins. Time goes by and we are taken inside and seated. A couple minutes later, the manager , I assume comes over to us and says that this table was wrongly given to us and we needed to leave. He said that a 12 top needed to fit here and there clearly was no room for that. He than quickly ran away from us. Very sad that your employees sat us and we were kicked out. We will be giving out business elsewhere. I work at a restaurant and this type of service is pathetic. We were very excited to go to this spot but clearly we will not be back. read more

The food was fine. Nothing great, as the chili was room temperature and the portions didn't seem worth the price. The trouble was the service. Once we got sat at our table, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came up to ask us for drinks. After we got waters, it took another 10 min for them to be delivered at our table. Our waitress took 5 minutes to get a side of ranch and kept forgetting about us throughout the meal. Wouldn't come back, it was just alright. read more

We had a great experience here yesterday for a late lunch. For starters, absolutely loved the outside window art - very appealing. Next, the staff greets you from the beginning and our service throughout our meal was top tier (very attentive and helpful). To make the experience even better every single dish we had was delicious. We had the pork sandwich and plate, mac and cheese and kids Alfredo. Everything was delicious! 10/10 recommend - best food in Helen. read more

$10 burger, no fries, no lettuce, no tomato. Costs extra to add garden items. $29 for two burgers. One single, one double with two tap waters. These were not campfire flame grilled burgers. Flat top fried burgers. Super thin. Too much bread for the burger. Atmosphere was sterile. Service was minimal effort. Total disappointment. read more

This was our 5th time there. I have had their fried chicken 4 out of the 5 times that we have went there. We went there again last night and something changed with their chicken. It wasn't near a large pieces as it used to be and it was no longer the crunchy batter on it that I was used to getting. What happened to grandma's crunchy fried chicken recipe. We brought two other couples with us to try it and we were all disappointed. I miss grandma's fried chicken recipe. read more

Super weird location (right next to dollar general) but super good food. They are a little pricier for where they are located but you get good portions of food. Our server was very nice but wasn't as attentive after we got our food. We ate on the patio, which wasn't very clean after looking around. The inside of the rest looked very nice and clean though! read more

Folks, we dont get out often, ( due to the APB fm Habersham County SD on me, Ha Ha!!). We are locals. Went to campfire yesterday, best steak, BY FAR, in the area. Had the filet and my wife had the rib eye. Both were GREAT. Although I'd like to drop names, I won't, but in comparison to other steaks we've tried in the area, both our cuts were great. These folks WILL BE our go-to place for a good piece of meat. Have to mention, be careful with the sides. The mashed potatoes were good, the mac and cheese was good. Need a little bread to go with the meal and add an appetizer beforehand. As I said in the opening, we dont go out often, but when we do, we will be headed to Helen, mid-week, early hours. Campfire in Helen is a must-visit! We stopped in for a meal and were blown away by the food, service, and overall experience. The smash burgers were absolutely awesome--perfectly crispy edges, juicy inside, and packed with flavor. The pulled pork sandwich was just as impressive, tender and full of smoky goodness. Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was spot-on, with a cozy yet lively atmosphere that made for a great dining experience. The menu had a great selection, offering something for everyone. To station a Tesla amidst a gathering of gleaming motorcycles before what appeared to be a public house frequented by gentlemen of the road was rather like arriving at a fox hunt astride a mechanical curiosity. Yet no soul appeared troubled by the incongruity, and we entered with rather a hearty welcome. The establishment possessed that rare and enviable quality which no fashionable decorator may contrive, authenticity. Sturdy timber floors bore the marks of countless visitors, rustic ornaments adorned the walls with unpretentious pride, and the air was filled with the easy familiarity of regular patrons. Throughout our meal, motorcyclists came and departed with quiet regularity, lending the house a lively yet comfortable character. For my own luncheon, I selected the pulled pork accompanied by french fries, baked beans, and a cup of black coffee. It is not my custom to order beans, for they are too often treated as a mere accompaniment of little consequence. Yet this seemed precisely the sort of Southern establishment wherein such a humble dish would receive the respect it deserves. My confidence was rewarded. The beans were rich and savoury, the pork tender and abundantly satisfying, whilst the potatoes were crisp and well prepared.
