Yes, the decor is dated but as I date back to the same era I did not mind. Despite the mostly convenient location, this hotel is awful. The room was shabby and worn with damaged furniture and dirty carpeting. The check in process was terribly slow - two people behind the desk, one on the phone in an endless conversation about booking a room, while the other did nothing. Actual customers with a reservation are standing in front of your desk and you don't even acknowledge them? When asked for a bottle of water for the room, they directed us to a vending machine where we could purchase one. Can't even supply a bottle of Costco water? The room was noisy with construction workers and their equipment taking up parking spaces, rising early and making lots of noise with the equipment. Our advice: NEVER stay here! read more

More than just another bed for the night, Campbell Inn is an experience. Clean rooms, great maid service, and a very nice and varied breakfast buffet that they are proud of, it's open from 7am-9am. Located in Central Campbell, it's close to just about anything you could need. In walking distance of malls, a hospital, beautiful walking trails, a super nice park for your kids, and Old Campbell with the best bakeries around. If you are disabled, the showers are astounding for the roominess to fit a wheelchair in. Freeway access is close by. Take your own shower products though, as the ones available are stingy and the shampoo is tough on your hair with no hair conditioner available. The pool is shallow, and the hot tub is not that hot. The room rates are high, unless you are expensing them, but on par with San Jose prices. read more

So this place was so old, rundown and gross! Very dirty rooms and we found like 3 bugs! My husband was so grossed out he didn't even sleep in the bed and stayed up all night searching for bugs! This is the worst experience I have had dealing with a hotel staff. We had to switch rooms because nothing worked and we needed our refrigerator to work or TV. So we had to move rooms at our inconvenience. Then we go to the second room and there is a dead mouse by our bed. It was disgusting and we didn't get to switch rooms after maintenence cane and took it out. To top it off the next day after we checked out they took our deposit for "damages" they cant tell us about that they made up. And management is out of town for two weeks. The inn was good for the one night we stayed. I felt the lobby and bedding was outdated; but given it's an inn, i had a satisfactory stay. Some issues were: the chair in our room's back fell apart when my friend leaned back....some furniture was missing knobs...paint job was ok...the bed had a crumbling sound when slept on, the brochures in the lobby was from 2020...it is now 2023...the shampoo and body wash was really "weak," the bathroom vent was extremely loud, but everything else worked fine. And the room had a strong smell of chlorine. Pros: heater and ac in the room worked great, mini fridge as a mini freezer compartment, the blossom trees were in full bloom when we arrived (mid Feb) and it was beautiful. The pool is heated and relatively clean; the hot tub was nice and both the pool and hot tub had no visitors, so we really enjoyed the time there. The pool and tub opens from 8AM -10PM. Breakfast is available from 7-9 AM. Get the breakfast through the window in the pool area. During our stay we had American sausages, scrambled eggs, home fried potatoes, blue berry muffin and a choice or yogurt, orange juice, apple juice, coffee or tea. Around the holidays, I had a work dinner to attend in the South Bay and decided to stay over in Campbell. I've seen this hotel several times from the freeway, so I knew it would be close to where I was having dinner. Working long hard days, I thought it would be relaxing to book a King Suite with Hot Tub. I deserve it and how nice would it be to take a long hot soak before bed. I booked the room online and paid more for the King Suite room. I arrived and checked in without any issue. I had a bottle of wine on me and asked if I could borrow an opener. They did not want to loan me their opener and rather asked me to go ahead and pop the cork there as they only had one. Ok, no problem. The room was large and clean, but very out dated. Although a king suite, the old wall paper, curtains, carpets and dated design made the place look more like a motel than an inn. There was complimentary breakfast which is your average hotel buffet set up, scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage sitting in warmers. I grabbed a yogurt, fruit, juice and some toast to eat before having to go to work. Although it was not the best stay I've had in the area, it wasn't the worst. If I were to stay here again, I would not pay for an upgraded room - as I felt it wasn't really worth the price of $230 for the night. read more

We have stayed here a few times , 5 I'd say. This time with reservations we had a room next to the highway. Way to loud! We asked to be moved, no problem for the next night. The third night a week later with a reservation, once agian put us in the front by the highway, we asked for another room, they gave us the one on top floor , the very last room, was for one person. not Two. Tiny room with extention cords we had to find for our phone cords. The toilet and shower were on top of eachother , you had to squeeze by the toilet to get into the shower. the sink was somewhere else. Once again right next to the highway. The garbage left outside did it for me.. We did use the hot tub, its nice and big, there was also garbage that no one picked up there either. We saw a huge cockroach a few huge crickets, we left. They need to spray! Also pick up garbage. Also tell people of the room size. I was crowded! Also needs room outlets. For their guests. Extenstion cords used permanently was stange. The buffet is nice, the girls are wonderful very helpful. We wont be staying there again. I dont want to take the chance. I hope things turn around, I liked it before. read more

This is a one man shop.. Hussan overcharged my card $100.00 more than I signed for. My daughter and her friends arrived to the room before my husband & I so he kicked them out and threatened to call the police. We were not able to stay after that and he refuses to credit my card. Trash and unsafe... went with my friend for a night and it was so horrible we left ,our window was loose with the screen lifted from the bottom, when we ask for towels they said they can't give us any we are only allowed one when there was two of us. Very rude stains all over the room.. a suspicious door in our room that at first he said it was a conjoined room, then changed it later on, and said it was a janitor closet in our room with no locks on it felt so unsafe especially when it was me and my friend two females alone.. so we said fuck it and took off. My mother (that is over 70) and I had a reservation for two nights. We flew in late from SFO and just wanted to sleep. The beds were SO uncomfortable. Not to mention the rooms are horrid, including the bathrooms. But we could let that part slide. My mom couldn't sleep the beds were so bad. That morning we got up, packed, and went to the front desk. We let them know the situation. The woman said she would "talk to the owner" and it's up to him to see if we get a refund for the second night. She said check our email at noon. Well 3 pm rolls around and nothing. We call them and a man with a heavy accent answers, he tells us that we needed to give 24hrs in advance and that he never gets complaints about the beds. We explained that it was 10 pm when we got in that night. How do we give 24hrs advance?! Anyway, horrible hotel. Horrible people who work there. Spend the few extra bucks and stay at the Pruneyard Double Tree. Trust me, you'll thank me later. read more

The only reason this inn gets one star is because the location is good. This hotel (if you can even call it that) is absolute garbage. The rooms are outdated, dirty and smells like mold. What is more frustrating than the disheveled room I stayed in, is the staff; particularly the women working the front desk during the daytime. My room key did not work on three different occasions. When I told her my situation, she said "don't keep your key near your phone or it will cause it to stop working". My room key was in a different pocket than my phone. Her tone was extremely rude. They also charged me $20 because we got make up on the hand towel. You could not pay me to stay here again. Stay far, far away from this place. Note to the owner: hire friendlier staff. read more

Everything seemed a little dirty, I'm not super picky so whatever. Not a huge deal. Spend all night downtown for Halloween and fully intend on waiting until noon... our check-out time... to leave because we stayed up late. I wake up to a call around 10 am on the room phone. Takes me a second to get to it because I was asleep. No one was on the line when I picked up. I go back to bed. About 10-15 min later there is a knock on the door. I quickly try to get clothed (I sleep naked) and ask them to wait and the housekeeper opened the door. She apologized and closed it. I quickly covered myself and opened the door and asked her, rudely, what the issue was. She told me I needed to put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Check-out is noon. It was 2 hours before check-out. There is NO FUCKING REASON to enter the room and call me. The fact that you want to clean the room before my reservation is over does NOT mean you get to enter my room. From all of the other reviews, I will not be contacting the hotel about this issue - they don't seem like they care at all about taking care of their customers. I will actively tell anyone I know looking for a hotel in the area to stay clear from this place. read more

We had to make an emergency trip to Campbell so booked a room at the Campbell Inn through Booking.com & unknown to us, our niece also booked us a room at a different hotel so we could all be together. I called the Campbell Inn and asked to cancel the room due to the faux pas. The desk clerk was not sympathetic to our needs & told us we had to commit to the room because he was not going to pay cancellation fees. So we stayed in a dark, musty smelling room with old carpet & dings on the walls for the duration of our booking commitment. Fortunately we didn't have to pay fees for the other room cancellation. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was standard hotel fare, pool was nice, and the inn is centrally located. I will not recommend the Campbell Inn because of the way we were treated & the quality of the room. read more

DON'T RECOMMEND Group from another room next to us was outside smoking pot and loud. Front desk did talk to them and they left around 11pm only to come back around 3 or 4am smoking pot again. Smell penetrated thru the doors. Bed was so hard my hubby got no sleep and we were fed up and left about 5am to go home. I paid $250 for a suite with large whirlpool tub that didn't work. Maybe if we had been in a different part we wouldn't have had this experience. But the bed being so uncomfortable paired with our experience, we won't be back and don't recommend. This was a refreshing hotel experience. We stayed here for one night after staying two at a motel 6 and my family were so happy to get such an upgrade. The room was large, had a big bed, two comfy chairs, lots of mirrors, a closet. A full bathroom with a giant shower was awesome. And the tv had a lot of good channels. The free breakfast was yummy too. Glad we came here. Was worth spending an extra 40 bucks and should have come here 2 days prior instead. My only complaint is how dirty the carpets were. Stayed here a few times. The complimentary breakfast is pretty decent. Rooms are clean yet very dated, which you can clearly see when you check out the rooms and find the electrical appliances are totally old school. They have the random hotel print design in everything from thee floor, bed, and chairs. Some rooms have the whirlpool baths which are cool. Those rooms go quickly. This place is located in walking distance of downtown. You can imagine after a night of bar hopping, checking out a room might mean it gets loud as people migrate back around 2am. It's an unfortunate side effect of the location. However, it sits on the packhorse walking trail and nearby some great eats. It's small but still, cozy. Parking is close and it totally has a rustic feel. It certainly needs an update but it's not a bad place to lay your head after a long night. We ended up booking here last minute as we had a spontaneous trip to Santa Cruz. The rooms were clean and check-in was fast. We checked in a Friday night and were checking our midday Sunday. Come Saturday morning, we have housekeeping knocking at 7:00 am to clean our room, we were still sleeping. Then, their breakfast posted hours are 6-10 am, which is why we decided to sleep in a little extra. Their "breakfast" area is a walk up window, they had a printed taped sign that said 7-9 am, we went down at 8:55 am (because we saw the 6-10 am posting). I understand there was 5 minutes left for breakfast, but their hours were posted incorrectly. We had a family of 8, the ladies serving were rude and disgruntled. Come Sunday morning, we make it down to breakfast by 7:30, but provided with the same attitude. They seemed bothered at the fact that people were ordering food and quite frankly rushing everyone. Come checkout day, my kids had a morning swim. We made it back to the room, showered and packed up. My kids had just gotten new shoes, while playing my son left his shoes in our room under the armchair. We didn't realize we hadn't packed them until we got home. We called and "the housekeeping manager has no shoes in the lost and found". We know for a fact we left them in our room and exactly where we left them. They were brand new Nike shoes. There were dead gnats on the bathroom ceiling, and my toddler spotted a cockroach strolling across the floor (just disgusting)! The tv remote was taped together, the picture on the tv was terrible. I tried calling the front desk from the phone in the room and it didn't even work! When I requested fresh towels, a man with his shirt un-buttoned halfway down his chest showed up with the towels. Had a last minute work trip, and Campbell Inn was the only hotel with any vacancy. I had average expectations after viewing pics and reading reviews, but had zero issues during my stay. Staff was pleasant and the breakfast spread was better than expected (starts at 6AM which is great). The whole location could use some updates, but linens / towels were clean and fresh. My room had a mini-fridge and microwave, which is nice, but the door to the outside didn't fully seal against the weatherstripping, so I could easily hear people walking, smell people smoking, and hear cars parking. I would strongly recommend a room away from Campbell Ave due to noise (I was in the back of the parking lot which was nice and quiet). Not a five star venue, so set expectations accordingly, but totally sufficient for a quick business trip. read more
