I expected and planned to be out of pocket at least $5,000 and was really upset about it. I spent the money for all the parts Joe said I needed and it burnt a pretty big hole in my wallet. I then took it to Chevrolet in Springfield the very next day and they did an inspection of the motor and found the same symptoms as well. They then took my motor apart and told me to look at it with them. The head gaskets, timing chain, head bolts, and valve cover gaskets that Joe told me I needed to replace were 100% fine and needed no reason to repair. All it needed was a new thermostat housing and coolant leak to attend to. I don't believe EMS physically looked at anything in my motor and just gave me a quote for a new motor after finding one symptom that could realistically mean a lot of things that could be wrong. I ended up only paying under $500 for the repairs and the car had zero problems after the repairs and I ended up selling it for much more profit then what I bought it for. I wouldn't have a problem with any of this if Joe just took the time to physically look into the problem instead of just telling me that I needed a new motor after finding one thing wrong and then just stopped looking in to it. I just feel like they tried to cheat me in giving them $3,000 to order a new motor and pay the $2,000 in labor when all I needed was just a thermostat. I won't be taking any of my vehicles to Joe anymore. He's a very friendly man but only did half the job.

My husband was in from out of town, his truck broke down we had it fixed with…read morethem they instructed me it would be best to pay cash instead of card payment several times because of the 3% credit card fee. So we did as they said, three months later our truck broke down from the same problem, they did not want to honor the warranty for parts or the work. It cost us $2500 to fix the same problem again on top of the $1800 cash we had already paid them, we had to fight with them relentlessly just to listen to us, they ignored our repeated text and calls and did not want to help us whatsoever, I do not recommend this place, please go somewhere else and save yourself a headache and money. Go somewhere that they will honor their warranty!!! Warranties are a big deal and honesty is a big deal as well and if you choose not to keep your word or your warranty you don't need to be in business. The manager and owner dodged our calls, texts and when we went by the shop they somehow were "never available". I've previously experienced warranty issues on a different vehicle at another shop, I've never had a shop turned me down to repair or reimburse me for failed work or parts but this shop do not trust them... they will give you every excuse in the book and ignore you, be warned go somewhere else. Completely disappointed!!

Baillies is a horrible place to get trustworthy advice on your diesel trucks. I asked several…read morefriends and mechanics around town after my experience, and to no surprise, everyone has bad things to say about this place. Absolutely the worst diesel place in town... took my '08 F250 there because it was loading up a bit at stop lights (turned out to be a $700 EGR repair from LEM's). These morons charged me $70 for a diagnostic that must never happened because everything said in their diag report was falsified. Then they recommended I replace the entire $20,000.00 engine on a truck that ran perfectly fine. They tried to tell me the injectors were all bad and all kinds of other stuff wasn't working. Go to Lem's on Glenstone near Division. That old boy told me everything was perfectly fine, but the EGR valve was sticking causing it to load up at stop lights. He had it fixed in a day. I run a business with multiple diesel trucks, and I figured an easy repair from the shop down the street (baillies) would be convenient... but it was really a $70 scam and I'm going to warn everyone I know about these bastards. By the way, its been 8 months since the repair and my truck runs good as new still. It pulls a 14,000 lb, 14ft dump trailer full of materials every week, all around the Ozark hills near Springfield/Nixa/Ozark. I don't know how these guys are even in business still. DO NOT waste your time with these scammers. You have been warned.

Notice how they didn't bother to reply to my complaints?? Their silence speaks very loudly!read more
