I have debated writing this review but I hope my experience prevents others from enduring the physical & emotional pain I have gone through over the last two years. I originally went to Campanile for an implant exchange and lift. During my consultation and pre-op, we agreed on 445cc implants to slightly increase the size of my previous ones by about 25cc. While I was under anesthesia, I instead received 545cc implants , 100cc larger than what I agreed on. Soon after surgery, my incisions began ripping open and were extremely difficult to heal. Over the next five months, I struggled with new wounds appearing, constant pain, and overwhelming anxiety during bandage changes and showers from seeing the state of my chest. This left me with significant, disfiguring scars that have devastated my confidence. At the one-year mark, I was advised to have a scar reduction procedure with a new technique that was supposed to prevent the same issues. I trusted the team and paid for a second surgery. Unfortunately, the same complications happened again, this time even more severely. For six months, I battled painful openings along my incisions and an exhausting recovery process. In total, I have spent two years in physical pain and emotional distress. Despite being told this was my body's "reaction to sutures," the repeated outcome made me question that explanation. I consulted with a wound care specialist plus three other plastic surgeons and each of them came to the same conclusion: explained to me that the implants I received were larger than my skin could support, which prevented proper healing and made it difficult for my incisions to close. Again, I was supposed to receive 445cc, but instead received 545cc. I was too ashamed of my scarring to be professionally fitted for a bra for a long time, but I recently built up the courage and learned I am now a G cup, even though the plan I agreed on was to add only 25cc so I could fill out my DD bras again. Now I must face a third surgery to downsize the implants and repair the scarring. This is considered high risk due to the number of surgeries I've already endured, but I cannot delay it because of the ongoing pain from the implant size. After my second procedure, I was instructed to use regular gauze pads instead of the non-adherent bandages I had been told to use after my first surgery. This caused the dressings to stick to my incisions and set back my healing each time they were changed, making the process even more painful and damaging. I was later allowed to return to non-adherent pads, but by that point the damage had already been done. Unlike after my first surgery, I was also never scheduled for a six-month follow-up, even though my recovery was extremely difficult. The lack of consistent care left me without the support I expected during such a difficult recovery. There was also conflicting information about the size of my prior saline implants. In person, with my mom present, I was told they were filled to 480cc. My medical report, however, listed them as 456cc. The surgeon who performed my original saline procedure confirmed they were filled to 420cc. After receiving so many different numbers, I no longer knew what was accurate. Regardless, none of this explains why I was given 545cc implants when the agreed-upon size was 445cc. I trusted this office with my body, but I am now living with severe scarring, years of pain, and facing another corrective surgery that carries higher risk. read more

First off, shout out to Nurse PA McCall, the surgical center nurses, and front desk ladies! Absolutely fabulous treatment from all of these kind caring professionals. So sad to hear McCall quit! I also really liked Dr Campanile and had no issues with him until my last visit. I spent a total of $34,000 on breast implants/lift and a tummy tuck. I don't know why, but the results were very bad. I came back to see the doctor to ask about a second surgery to fix the rippling, X-Large overstretched nipples, half inch scars that completely surround the nipples, and suture marks left in almost all the scars. He walked in the room and said I quote "we gave you everything you asked for and you come back to complain." I don't feel this is a complaint on my part just an attempt to fix my botched body. During that appointment after looking he did say the nipple sutures failed and that he would fix it "if I couldn't live with it". My surgery took over 11 1/2 hours and was kicked out of the surgical center less than 12 hours later. I was also having urinary problems when I was released. Not to mention his nurse in the office named Marie was physically rough with me right after surgery. On my post surgery check she ripped tape off my body when I had very sensitive skin due to repetitive surgical tape use after surgery and caused scabbing. My boyfriend is extremely grounded and he was horrified and said he was scared for me. Dr. Campanelli did say I could come back and he would fix the scarring, but unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable going under the knife with him or Marie after the comments and the lack of professionalism. I hope nobody has to go through what I went through. Get botched and treated poorly too. I have found a new doctor and he's wonderful. He was shocked at the condition of my breast. I don't know if Dr. Campanile doesn't know how to run a business, or if he just lets the inmates run the asylum, but I got my deposit back and am taking my business elsewhere. I'm writing this review to share my experience and to provide an honest warning to others considering services from Dr. Campanile. I underwent liposuction and a fat transfer procedure, and unfortunately, the results were deeply unsatisfactory. My stomach turned out lumpy, discolored, and uneven. It's heartbreaking to admit, but I've become so self-conscious that I can't bear the thought of wearing a swimsuit or any clothing that reveals my stomach. The fat transfer to my breasts caused multiple large lumps in both breasts. A visit to my oncologist + a mammogram revealed these were due to fat necrosis from the transfer. I remember feeling uneasy on the day of the surgery when Dr. Campanile was significantly late, but the fear of losing a significant deposit made me proceed. The distressing results compelled me to seek opinions from other plastic surgeons, who believed my issues stemmed from the techniques and tools used in my surgery. One of the doctors said that my stomach is essentially "deformed". While I desperately want these issues rectified, the thought of undergoing another similar surgery is too much to bear, especially with the low likelihood of improvement and potential for further complications. Fixing liposuction is nearly impossible with the built up scar tissue and fibrosis that occured. Dr. Campanile did offer to correct the liposuction after a year, but considering my experiences, I couldn't trust undergoing another procedure with him. A recent visit to discuss my concerns only added to my distress. He was dismissive, focusing solely on my current weight and suggesting I lose weight before he could help. My issues were present once the inflammation subsided. Why would he offer to fix it years ago, but not now? I felt that he avoided responsibility and pointed the finger at me so I would blame myself. He even went as far to take about my skin condition, which is something that he grazed over in my initial meeting - he told me that my skin condition was good and shouldn't have issues bouncing back. The postoperative care was equally disheartening. I did everything they advised, which wasn't much - they tell you to purchase a list of products and it pretty much ends there besides your follow up appointments. There was a noticeable lack of professionalism and empathy. Despite my concerns becoming evident, Dr. Campanile wasn't present at one of my follow-up appointments. My attempts to reach out with photos and pleas for help were met with assurances from staff that healing would take time. Now, three years later, my stomach's appearance remains a daily source of anguish, affecting my overall confidence, despite all my efforts with various treatments, exercise and a healthy lifestyle. In conclusion, I share this not out of spite, but out of a sincere wish to inform potential patients. It's vital to be aware of possible outcomes and the level of care that might follow. read more

Dr. Campanile performed my surgery in December. I am four-months post-op and unable to accurately and adequately write a review based on my results at this time. I will write a follow-up later. I am equipped to say, however, that I would not opt to have surgery at this facility again based on an unprofessional interaction I had with one of the nurses, Marie. Marie did my pre-op appointment. My husband accompanied me to and had taken notes on the details from this seemingly-rehearsed script given to us by Marie. Our conclusions about what to expect were very much aligned with one another. It wasn't until Becca, the OR nurse, called that I realized not all of what we were told by Marie was accurate. It is not beyond me to recognize that sometimes verbal communication becomes lost in translation, perceptions are skewed, etc. I was not angry nor upset at this point, but I certainly wanted clarification on some of the "facts" of the procedure I was going to endure. My perception became that the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. I didn't understand why I kept getting different answers to the same questions. My concerns were growing. Not long after my phone conversation with Becca, an obviously very-angry Marie phoned me. She proceeded to tell me that she KNEW what was going on, because she "USED" to be in the OR, and that she would "NEVER" have said some of what I was so confused about. The whole conversation was shocking, bizarre, caddy, and unprofessional to say the least. Certainly not what a patient who is paying thousands of dollars for an optional procedure wants to deal with days prior to surgery. I went into the operation not knowing what to expect, what was actually going to happen, and I was ready to cancel. The good news is that Marie USED to be in the operating room. read more

BUYER BEWARE I paid for a breast lift, implants, an areola reduction, and lipo about 6 months ago. I should be nearing the end of my healing process, but it feels more like a never ending nightmare. To start, I was the only patient the day on my surgery and it was obvious that the staff could not get rid of me fast enough to go home when I woke up. I've only seen the Dr. ONCE since I got surgery. During one of my early post-op visits, I had an opening and some bleeding (the first of many) and I was left in the room with a nurse who gave me care instructions. At my next visit I was told that everything I was doing was wrong and I shouldn't have listened to the prior nurse. We ended up moving, and I have since been communicating with the staff via email. The infected stitches, openings, and bleeding's are endless. Just when I think I'm done, another problem with the stitching arises. I'm lucky if I get a response from the staff via e-mail on the same day regarding my concerns and questions on what I should do. I have waited days for guidance. Lastly, I was reassured by the Dr. that I had nothing to fear about the look and feel of my areolas after surgery. This could not be further from the truth. My new areolas have a terrible shape and the texture of the scarring is horrendous and embarrassing. The results make me not even want to take my bra off. If I had known then what I know now, I would NOT have put my money or my trust in this practice. I visited Dr. Campanile in early November to see about getting my lips done and maybe a little botox. My overall experience was great. I was a little skeptical at first only because I feared I would come out of it looking like a orange county woman who had a little too much - but that was not the case at all. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Campanile and his staff. When I originally started shopping around I reached out to my uncle in Arizona who is a burn unit renowned plastic surgeon of 30 years. He asked colleagues in Arizona who they recommended in Denver for a tummy tuck and breast lift and they all came back recommending Dr. Campanile. I scheduled my first appt with Dr. Campanile and called one of the other top rated Dr. groups in Denver for a second opinion and comparison to do my due diligence. After meeting Dr. Campanile I canceled the appt. with the other group and decided to go with him, once you meet with his staff and talk to him, see his results you just know. I was very much just feeling out the idea of getting surgery. I lost all my baby weight and had been working out pretty hardcore doing triathlons and working with a trainer for years. I had gotten to a point mentally where I felt like I was at peace with the extra skin I had and the way I looked. It wasn't great considering the amount of fitness time I logged a week, I was thin but everything was hanging. There's just some things working out can't fix and extra skin is one of them. I started feeling like I was too young to have to live like this. I wasn't sure this was something I was going to actually do and if I really felt like the investment was worth it. I had a breast augmentation in October '15 by Dr. Campanile. I am so happy with the results, he did an amazing job!!! I listened to all the pre and post instructions to a "T", and I healed quickly with almost no noticeable scar. I met Dr C when we both were in Nebraska. I knew he was a great hand surgeon then and I believe it now. A few years ago dr c did a joint replacement of my ring finger that had been destroyed by arthritis. It works great. The problem for me is that he has gotten really busy and it's difficult to get in to see him. Recently I broke my finger above the joint replacement It really hurt. And I was worried. His office couldn't get me in for three weeks. I had to call another hand doc who got me in within a few days. It took 4 months to heal. It's sad that I can't see him anymore but good for him that he is so busy. read more

I can't say enough how happy I am with the service I received from Campanile Plastic Surgery. From the staff to Dr. Campanile himself. The staff are great, very helpful, friendly and professional.
