It is important that you find a surgeon that focuses on facial plastic surgery because it makes them an expert as opposed to a doctor that does more breast augmentation surgery and not as many facial surgeries. I interviewed 5 different surgeons prior to making my decision to move forward with Rhinoplasty. You develop a sense of the doctor and office staff during your research and visits with the different locations. You know in your gut that a specific doctor and their practice is going to be the right fit for you. Some examoles of when I knew that a surgeon and his staff were not a good fit for me: 1. Some surgeons told me what they would be doing to my nose without ever consulting with me about what I actually wanted my result to look like. 2. Poor customer service beginning with booking the appointment for the consultation. 3. Some surgeons didn't have time to spend longer than 10 minutes talking to me about the surgery before rushing me out of the office. I felt it was important to find a surgeon and office staff that made me feel confident and secure in my decison, especially since you will be visiting with them several times for at least 1 year after surgery for follow up appointments to check on your healing. As soon as I walked into Weber Facial Plastic Surgery I knew that I had found the right place for me. It started with the office staff being welcoming and excited to chat about my potential surgery. When meeting with Camille and Dr. Weber I knew immediatley that I would be choosing them for my surgery. I went back to Dr Slenkovich and within two weeks was in and getting reconstructive surgery. After I experienced complications. A normal risk, low risk, but still one of the risks. My tissues on one side werent getting proper circulation. Right away, I was acknowledged and heard. I wasn't dismissed. I wasn't. Told "let just wait. We'll see you at post op." It is immediate care and they saw me everyday for a week and even started treatments that aren't typically done on a regular basis. I was even seen by surgeon and my nurse on a Saturday. The kindness, warmth and empathy. Genuine compassion. Genuine support from the entire team was put this office above and beyond. I feel like I made friends. Never felt as though I was a burden. They got me in everyday without question. Not only the treatment. But the girls look better than I could have ever expected. Dr. Slenkovich has amazing bedside manner and is a master at his craft! I originally had nice full breasts, but over the years they had deflated and I wanted them restored back to their natural full look. Out of all the surgeons that I interviewed Dr. Buford was the most knowledgeable and took the time to answer any of my questions or concerns thoroughly. I enjoyed every aspect of the process. His entire staff is incredibly warm and professional and treated me with the respect that made me feel like I had made the right choice. My recovery time was very minimal and I was not in pain whatsoever. Dr. Buford was the only surgeon that I interviewed that uses nerve blockers during the surgery. I ended up only taking two of my muscle relaxers and three Vicodin total in recovery. I am a very active person that lifts weights 6-7 times a week and I was able to get back to my normal workout routine after only 1 month. I felt confident letting Dr. Buford choose the right implant size for me. He brings multiple implants into surgery, puts a temporary implant in, and sets you up and looks at how the implant fits your body. In the consultation Dr. Buford took extensive measurements of my chest and sternum and the overall symmetry of my torso. Dr. Buford really listened to me and gave me the implants that fit my body and lifestyle the best. Since I had my breast augmentation with Dr. Buford I have had several girlfriends go to him and every single one of them is extremely ecstatic with their outcome.

It has taken me a while to write this because I was traumatized by my experience. The 2 stars…read morerepresent that the end result is the size and type of implants I wanted that are even and sit nicely. And for the excellent care his STAFF provides. The lack of additional stars has everything to do with Dr. Buford, his arrogance, his inattentive care, his insulting conversations. I was being treated so poorly by Dr Buford that I forced my husband to come to every appointment as protection! I've never had to take my husband to see a doctor before. I was very specific and insistent about what size I wanted, but Dr. Buford still gave me smaller implants than I wanted. When I woke up from surgery and saw what he did I flipped out and became hysterical because this was the REVISION after my first augmentation years before were a complete disappointment (by another doctor). He agreed to do a 2nd surgery the next day at no additional cost (also part of the 2 stars). I paid $31,000 for implants and lift, plus lipo under my armpits. AFTER I was given the anesthesia for the 2nd surgery, he came up close to my ear so my husband couldn't hear and he whispered "I don't want to hear A THING about the lipo" in an angry and menacing tone and I was too out of it from anesthesia to say anything to my husband who was there to protect me from this menace. The healing process was a disaster. I had allergic reactions to the pain medication, I couldn't reach him post-op as he was out of town golfing and not taking calls. It took hours to days to reach the on call doctor. They treated me like I was drug seeking when I couldn't tolerate any of the pain meds. My incisions kept coming apart and my skin was dying along the incision line, along with seromas that had to be drained with needle aspirations every two days for months after surgery. I felt like sally from nightmare before christmas trying to keep my incisions together. The scarring from the surgery is giving very Frankenstein. The lipo under my armpits is very uneven so I have a couple of pockets of fat surrounded by flat areas. I thought maybe he treated me so poorly because I was a fat, 50 something woman that he didn't want to work on. I would have rather he just said that FROM THE START than treat me like crap. I have lost over 50lbs since surgery but the little fat pockets in my armpits are still there. At my last follow up appointment with Dr Buford I told him how angry I was at the way I was treated and that I never wanted to see him again and he replied "yes, but do you like the results". So, yes, doctor, I like the way my breasts look with a bra or clothes on, not so much the FrankenTits scarring or the LumpyLipo underarms. I'm just grateful I didn't die, because I thought for a while I was going to die.
