Dr. Renee Pride is a wonderful Mohs surgeon and human being, who listened to my fears and concerns, when I met her in a panic, after my dad died of Wrongful Death, and a different dermatologist missed my skin cancer. Dr. Pride did a wonderful job diagnosing my skin cancer, performing perfect Mohs surgery - she cut it all out, in the first round, with clear margins, and only cut the minimum, making a perfect incision, given an incision had to be done. She is super smart, studying at Dartmouth and with a Mayo Clinic Fellowship, and I trust and respect her. She has become one of my favorite doctors in Denver, CO, at a time when I haven't trusted doctors. Highly recommend! read more

I had a positive or relieving experience with them. The offices I saw were clean and new, all of their staff wore masks, my examine room was also clean, if you're lucky depending what floor you're on, you get a nice view of Denver area. First initial visit I just needed a prescreening for a spot on my hand that was bothering me. Dr. Nicole Neuschler was very kind and patient with me. It can be a little confusing if it's your first visit here. Which is why checking in online prior to your visit will definitely help. Each of the doctors in their practice is located on different floor and suites in the building. Her office is located on the 3rd floor. After checking in I did have to wait for about 20 mins before doctor got to see me for my consultation. Still the other assistants were helpful and nice especially the one wearing grey scrubs. Super awesome and professional, wish I remembered her name. After Dr. Nicole examined me she said it's nothing I should worry about but she would take some pictures and follow up if needed. I would recommend them, since they're the only ones that took me for a patient consult. The rest of the dermatology offices in Denver had a 2-3 month waiting period for an appointment. read more

Wow!!! I got the halo laser done last Tuesday by Dr Contreras and his team and it definitely was a great decision. The procedure is not comfortable but his team made me feel comfortable throughout the entire procedure and Dr Contreras was amazing. My skin is only a week out from the procedure but I am so thankful I did it! My skin texture looks 100% better and younger! The office called and checked on me and my progress. This place sucks. From the outside, it seems like a very professional and well put together establishment, but the service is terrible. Last time I visited, the doctor barely let me get a word in as I tried to explain my issue. She kept interrupting me and came to a conclusion about my issue way too fast. Before I could even finish my sentence and show her the areas of concern, she claimed she knew what the issue was and sent me away. My co-pay was $50 and I think I saw the doctor for two minutes or less. Additionally, I called back a few days later with some follow-up questions and left a message. Dr. Frankel was a godsend for me. Last summer, as a 25-year-old with no real prior skin problems, I developed horrible, rampant cystic acne. I went to several different dermatologists whose advice either a) didn't help at all or b) made the acne spread more. I grew hopeless and extremely depressed, ESPECIALLY considering I was supposed to get married the following summer. I had all but given up when I found Dr. Stephanie Frankel. First of all, she is just a wonderfully kind and encouraging person. She assured me that one way or another we were going to figure out the issue. Then she did something no other dermatologist had even mentioned was a possibility: she TESTED a sample of my acne. We discovered that it had elevated levels of Staph, and was a strain that was resistant to the medication my previous derm had put me on (which means I had wasted 2 months of pointless treatment). She prescribed a couple different drugs, and we eventually found a combination that worked for me, and beat it into submission. This summer I felt confident and beautiful in my skin at my wedding,( despite a few scars that nobody but me ever notices) and I have Dr. Frankel to thank for that. read more

Set up an appointment and the doctor missed it. I used up my lunch waiting around for nothing. I think what's the most frustrating aside from this unprofessionalism is that I took time out of my busy schedule to fill out all the damn forms (and their system is such a pain) for my appointment to never happen. Horrible experience. I never write reviews but am disgusted by my experience. The practice manager, Nicole, is rude and this practice thrives on lying to and misleading patients and potential patients. I was warned against using Core Dermatology but did not heed the warnings of my community. Please note other negative reviews, I will outline my experience below I went in for a skin check and paid my $60 co-pay. In my appointment I chatted with the dr about various questions I had as she was doing my skin check. She offered to freeze something off of my foot, noting that it would be "quick and worth just doing while while already there". I was not told I would incur a charge for the topics we discussed, nor the 25 second "procedure". I was later slapped with a nearly $500 bill, which my insurance company only partially covered. When I called to discuss with the practice manager, calmly noting my confusion in being charged for a procedure without being warned it would be an additional expense, she was rude, raised her voice, and told me to "just pay your bill". I have never before been to any medical professional in which they charged for topics of conversation and performed procedures that would incur an additional fee without first discussing that with their patient. I have also never interacted with a practice manager with such disregard for basic human etiquette. Do yourself a favor and do not support this office. There are plenty of other great practices in the area! read more

I liked the office and the doctor I saw there. But the bill beyond what my insurance company paid was over $800, including what I believe was an unnecessary biopsy of a mole I've had for decades. I also believe my needs could have been met in one visit rather than telling me I had to make another appointment. And, since the visits were at the end of 2021 (the second one on 12/30), anything I pay will not come off my 2022 deductible. I will probably not return to this practice, and instead look for one with more awareness of patient expenses. read more

She really listened and tried to understand my problem, talked it through with me and came up with some great solutions. They have been committed to making sure I got the treatment that I needed, unlike several other clinics where they just dashed off a quick prescription and sent me away. Called in and set an appointment for a cyst removal. They told me explicitly they did cyst removals - when I got to the appointment they informed me they wouldn't be able to conduct a removal of cyst and referred me out. The frustration of this is just simply tell me before I show up (and wait 6 weeks for an appointment) that you can't conduct a removal. The rest of appointment with Dr. Frankel felt extremely rushed and incomplete. I would not recommend going to them, find someone else. read more

an hour ago I called to book an appointment on the condition that they were able to remove a cyst. They told me that they could and I booked the appointment. When I got there and met with the doctor, she told me that she could not do it and referred me to a plastic surgeon in the same building who does not accept health insurance. Who she would probably getting some kind of compensation for the referral. She then asked if there was anything else that she could do while I was there. I said that the were a few small bumps on my face that I would not mind having removed. She said that they were very common and it would me no problem. So she used a small gun that was similar to a freeze away wart remover. None of the bumps came off. I feel that the doctor is incompetent and has proven to me that she is not capable of doing anything. I am in the process of disputing my charges. Based on my negative experience I would recommend looking for another dermatologist before considering coming to this one. read more

Getting older means more doctors in my life. Visiting Core Dermatology is the easiest and most competent and organized group that I deal with. Dr Frankel herself was great. I have no complaints about her as a professional or a doctor. If I was her I would restaff her entire office though. Her receptionists are rude, impatient, and have zero cares about the customers they are servicing. It took 8 weeks for me to hear back about the results of my biopsy. When I mentioned this to the woman who called me today she promptly defended that they had been trying to reach me since March 9th. This was either a complete lie or someone in their office made it up on notes to keep from having to do their job. When I insisted that I only have one phone number and this was the only way to get a hold of me so it would have been impossible that anyone called me prior to this week she argued with me and referenced back to her "notes" instead of apologizing and trying to make it right. Its a good thing I didn't have anything serious going on since I had to wait so long.... Again, Dr Frankel herself was great so my complaint wouldn't be about her, but if she wants her business to succeed she should look into making a big change with her staff and their customer service or lack thereof. read more
