I am so unbelievably astonished and disappointed, with this office, their staff and their referrals for Eyelid Surgery, specifically Park Avenue Occuloplastics. I started reaching out to a few offices based on ratings and RealSelf suggestions for dark circles, went to Dr. Folk. who reffered me to Park Avenue Occuloplastics and Dr. Thiagarajah, which apparently they do for multiple surgical procedures. I thought i Was doing the right thing and seeing the right doctors for this common procedure. And thought I was getting a inner eye fat repositioning like everyone else. Not the case unfortunately. Dr. T removed ALL the fat from my lower eyes making the circles, ridges and bags darker, then made an OUTER incision on an inner procedure. Dr T, RUINED MY EYE with that in the hopes that my tighter eye would droop and sag and look closer to my bad eye. An unbelievably frustrating move and speaking with other doctors since then simply a bad decision. I helplessly followed up for MONTHS with them as well as going back to Dr Folk asking about what to do next, as my eyes looked TERRIBLE and not sure why or how to resolve it, and was told 'I dont know how anyone ever could be upset, your eyes are not perfect but your young and they look fine, youll be fine' I have been beyond devastated and frankly very angry at this point. This is NOT some far off 'results may vary' 'risks of plastic surgery' type situation. Park Avenue doctors, literally made an OUTER INCISION, on an INNER EYELID procedure. An OUTER INCISION -- instead of performing inner eye fat repositioning, they took out ALL the fat, and then made a slit on my good eye so it would sag and 'look closer to your other eye' I was not informed this would be happening, did not give permission. The entire process has left me mentally and physically agonized. I don't know if its financially related, but whatever agreement this office has with Park Avenue refferals, they should be ashamed frankly. I have since the procedure seen 12+ world renowned doctors some of them that do strictly Hollywood work, and have explained this was infact a beta/Jr leagues move, and the outer incision on such a procedure is borderline abuse. I May never recover from this mistake, and I am not here questionsing Dr Staceys friendliness, the professionalism of the staff and their legitimacy as doctors whatsoever, howoever their refferals could cost you your face. Stacey is the only doctor I would trust with my most valuable asset -- my outward appearance, namely my face. As a professional model, I can't entrust that to just anyone! I first had a consultation with Dr. Folk with several consultations with other doctors scheduled later in the week. However, after meeting Stacey, I canceled all of my other appointments. She made me feel at ease at the prospect of someone cutting me open and taking a chisel to my nose -- not an easy task, I might add. Not only was Stacey very informative during my appointments, she gave me 3D renderings of what I could expect out of my rhinoplasty and gave me plenty of confidence going into my surgery, which we scheduled for the week before Christmas 2014. My surgery went a couple hours long because Stacey (being the perfectionist doctor I love) spent extra time making the tip of my nose absolutely perfect. However, after the first night, my recovery was fast and nearly painless due to some uncommon post-surgery practices Dr. Folk employed (such as prescribing arthritis medication to keep swelling down). Also, throughout my recovery, Dr. Folk was sure to keep in contact with me on my condition -- she even Facetimed me on Christmas Eve! She's made sure I was happy and confident at every stage of my recovery (I took almost a year to return to normal) regardless of how my nose swelled or how unevenly my swelling went down. Now, a year post-op, I couldn't be happier with my results! I'll never have another plastic surgeon. Dr. Stacey Folk is the only doctor for me! read more

Love Dr. Folk and her staff. I had some major sun damage on my face. Being a child of the 70s, my mom never used sunscreen on my Irish/German skin. And growing up in the 80s, I thought laying out in the sun on black trash bags and rubbing baby oil on me, would give me that savage tropical tan I so badly wanted. This place has made my skin look so much better through skin care products and HALO treatment. I'm not embarrassed anymore by giant sun spots on the side of my face. Her office has a day spa feel. All the staff from handshake hello to hug goodby are amazing. Parking is ample in the morning but can be challenging by afternoon as it's close to Rose hospital. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Folk after researching and finding the outstanding reviews. I want to start by saying I have 100% confidence that Dr. Folk is a very talented surgeon and is worth every penny. I have no complaints other than once I got to the consultation, I felt very overwhelmed and left feeling heart broken. I truly only want a small tweak but before I knew it Dr. Folk was recommending numerous procedures that were WAY more than I was ready for. Though it's stated that the proposal is ala carte, I found some slight resistence when I requested the procedures be pared down to what I want. When I inquired as to whether she would be willing to do only the procedure I wanted, I was told they would get back to me and I haven't heard a peep. She did a procedure on my daughter and it ruined her. The nose is crooked and balby at the tip. The day of surgery Dr. Folk chastised my daughter because she was scared and crying. We went back to her after surgery to express our concerns. She was in total denial. We have had to go back to two other surgeons to get it fixed. She has the worst bedside manner. A am pretty satisfied with my 3 procedures I had done by Stacey. I had previously one other consult and decided on Stacey because I immediately felt at ease with her and her staff. They are all awesome. She was very honest and open about what to expect on all 3. I had the breast lift/with implants, eyelid lift and the sciton laser resurfacing. For years I had wanted to do this but never had the courage or was scared to do the surgery and she immediately put me at ease. I did happen to take a trip to Vegas right after I scheduled my surgery and I was reading a magazine and she happened to be one of the top surgeons in Colorado so I immediately knew I had made the right decision. it's been 6 weeks since my surgery and I am really happy about the breast lift and the eyelid lift.
