The…read morehotel is about a ten minute walk from the Nice airport entrance but the entrance is a little hidden behind the Novetel. Front desk workers were very friendly and helpful and most spoke good English. My room was very clean, small, no furniture outside of the bed and a stool. The bathroom is very clean but only includes two large towels and just body wash liquid soap. For an extra 10 euros you can get a good continental breakfast. The tram is a five minute walk and goes to the airport and to old town Nice. I only recommend the hotel for short stays to be near the airport as there is really nothing near the hotel to do. To walk from the airport take the sidewalk next to the tram over the street to the north. Go past the Sheraton hotel and take a right towards the Novotel hotel. Ibis is in the same building just hidden in the back along an alley .

It seems to be creeping into my room too. No AC per se, blowing fan says "cool" but it is not. It's mid OCT so the stench isn't intolerable but I imagine in summer it's very stinky. Only here for 11 hrs so it is what it is....rental car is already dropped off, making due. Nice ppl work here though!

In the evening you can hear live music from your balcony. The location is absolute perfection. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, the beach, the promenade, and everything you could imagine. It's pure luxury in the heart of Nice. I would most certainly recommend it.

The hotel is historic, but the rooms were updated several years ago, and offer both sea views and mountain views. Bathrooms have a half door, so there's water all over the floor when you get out. We booked the sea view, but got bumped to a mountain view room, for some reason, but the hotel compensated us with a bottle of champagne and a voucher for food or drinks. Breakfasts were abundant and outstanding.

The rooms themselves were very nice and strangely quiet for how close they were to the airport. I appreciated the elevator since many of my students were on the 3rd and 4th floors and that streamlined checking on them. The staff was very nice, super professional and complimentary of my French. We spent a lot of time at the hotel bar once the kids were upstairs. They have a nice outdoor seating area as well. I enjoyed meeting the locals that both worked there and just came their for the drinks. I found the breakfast buffet to be plentiful, with lots of options. We never had dinner in this hotel. My main complaint is the lack of security here and in the area in general. Since I was with a student group, we had to walk to the tram to get anywhere in Nice. It was a 15 minute or so walk, around the zoo, and as we would walk past the cars that were parked on the street, many of them had broken-out windows. There was a homeless man camped out in a little alcove right next to the sidewalk in the bamboo. It was just a super sketchy vibe. To top things off, my partner's backpack was stolen right out of the breakfast area of this hotel. I literally went to pick up my boiled egg and came back and his backpack was gone. There was about $800 worth of electronics in his bag. The breakfast area was packed with people, even at our table, and it just seems unthinkable that someone could just sneak in and sneak out just like that with our stuff. I understand there was little the hotel staff could do, but I think it bears saying that this is not ok. It left a bad taste in our mouth.

Not only the smell was bad when i got in, but my room non smoking, smelled like a cold ashtray . I've tried to stay but after 5 mn could not take it any more. So went to the reception and ask for an other room. The Hotel was full, they refused to refund me. I've left anyway because i could not sleep in such a filthy environment. I'm next door at the Novotel who is just a bit more expensive but nothing to compare. i will remember for the rest of my life the "Campanile " and make sure to never book that hotel chain again

Great value - I'll definitely recommend this hotel to people. I never knew that Novotels were so cute. Free Wifi provided by Orange - it's fast enough to check your e-mail and Facebook. NO vending machines, no iron or ironing boards. No ice machines. Ants, leaking ceilings, no television service. They charged us incorrectly. The room had a smell as well. We recommened three others stay at the same time. Donot stay at this property.

After an hour, they had security let me in, but once untouched couldn't leave without going through the same silliness. Parking was very tight. The hotel is very close to the airport.
