Camp Xcel is an excellent place to jump start your journey to a healthier you! Coaches there are motivating and focus on your well being. They push you but at your level. Workouts are fun and always changing so you're not stuck doing the same things. I attended their 5 week Challenge and saw an instant change in my well being and health. Camp Xcel is a game changer!:) On my first day of class I remember being so nervous and intimidated, but it all went away as soon as the coaches started facilitating the class. Coaches are the sweetest, but do not be mistaken, they will not let you take the easy way out! All workouts have a beginner/ medium /hard option, but they always make sure you are challenging yourself. They're so encouraging and really make you feel like part of the Camp Xcel family. I cannot ever imagine going back to a regular gym. This place not only changes your body, but your mind as well. I started camp xcel in April for the 5 week challenge. I came here with my brother and my sister-in-law. I always had a Gym member ship but never went. I started coming to camp xcel n it changed me I started waking up at 430 to get to the 530 session. NOT once I did that to go to the gym. After two year being so unfit and no gym life I thought I'd give boot camp style gym a try. Out of the two other boot camp gyms that I've tried, man this is the most legit. You have two to three coaches making sure that everyone is doing it right! I signed up for the 5 week challenge two weeks early and they worked out a deal for me to start right away! First impressions are very important i think we can all agree. I have been working out at camp xcel for 7 weeks now and have yet to feel the GYM feeling.. camp xcel is more like getting together with friends daily, friend working toward the same goals! CampXcel is probably the best decision I've ever made. I've always been a part of a team every since I was young and in softball. So graduating, entering the real world, and going to college I started to lose time and was unable to continue working out like I used to. I always believed in going to the gym for 2 hours which consisted mainly of weight lifting and limited cardio. At times I would always easily talk myself out of a work out because I would be too tired from work and school and did not want to dedicate another 2 hours to go to the gym. My dad always convinced me that cardio was the way to go (he is a marathon runner and my biggest trainer/motivation) but I was just not having it from him. I started to get discouraged with not seeing results and not being able to maintain my stamina like how I was back in high school so I stopped going to the gym for a period of like 6-8 months. This is when I gained my most weight and I was the heaviest I've ever been. My friend from work started mentioning this camp and how it's all about cardio and some form of toning and weight lifting (in my mind I was thinking cross fit and I cannot stand that idea of working out). I was skeptic at first and wanted to see how it was going to go within the 28 day challenge. I attended both morning and evening classes for the 28 days and started to eat healthier. I lost a total of 17 pounds within the challenge and I'm telling you I'm not stopping there. I signed up for 6 months and I can guarantee you that every dollar is worth it. Trust the process and I can promise you with such an AMAZING environment, group of people, and amazing coaches, you become the person you want to be and even more. CampXcel is a more than a place to workout. I've been a member for almost a year and I absolutely love it. Everyone from campxcel makes you feel like family. They take the time to get to know you and help you reach your goals. Melanie is such an inspirational. The words she told me have stood with me through it all, "It never gets easier, you just become stronger." Her vibes are insanely amazing! Coach Hector is phenomenal! ONE OF THE BEST! He is passionate about his job and helping others. He's helped me in so many ways. A couple months ago I had strained my lower back, I was ready to quit but Coach Hector refused to let me go. He reminded me of the progress I've achieved. He switched around many workouts to make sure I wouldn't injure myself more. He checks on my form when I workout and checks with me to see how's my back doing. I'll always be grateful towards him! Coach Maria is a vibe. She tells the corniest jokes but works your butt off! She pushes you above your limits. I started personal training with Coach Karla a couple of weeks ago. She has been incredible! I definitely recommend her. She is so patient with me and challenges me every single time! I fire her every single time, but thanks to her I am able to deadlift again and I've seen such a drastic change in my body. Shouts out to Coaches Jon & Eric!! These two coaches provide all the motivation and encouragement you need when stepping into a gym. Most people are uncomfortable trying out a new gym because there embarrassed of looking dumb or not fitting in. You leave all that BS at home when coming to FITCAMP LA. There session usually consist of 4 stations with 6-12 people per station. Coaches start off by explaining the workout followed by a 5 min warm up. After warm ups you head straight to your station and begin your fun glute kicking workouts. They consisted of bear crawls; rope slams, jump rope, agility ladder, burpees, curls, bench press, and of course lunges, squats & dead lifts!! Just to name a few. When I started I went it with a different mindset I just wanted to lose weight and be done with it but a lot of things changed since joining camp I loved the energy, the environment & the people (both members and coaches). CampXcel is the only place to workout. Once you've tried it their is no going anywhere else. They provide classes Monday -Friday 4classes in the am and 4 in the pm. Saturday they provide 1 class at 9am. The coaches work with you, help you with your goals and they just absolutely chance your life. I don't see myself ever leaving the gym. I have been working out in Camp Xcel for ~2 months now and I am hooked. The trainers are awesome and constantly push me, the workouts are INTENSE and always make me break a sweat, and the members are friendly and push you to do better as well. I was first interested in Camp Xcel because of their weight loss competition, the winner gets 6 MONTHS FREE MEMBERSHIP!!!! This pushed me even more to diet and lose weight. I worked really hard and watched what I ate and lost 18.5lbs in 5 weeks!!!!! This was enough to win the competition and I received my 6-month membership for free!!! Even if I wouldn't have won the competition, I would have continued to workout here. I love that I don't have to set up my workout, worry about what to train, or wait for a machine to open up to continue your workout. Everything is preset for you. Words cannot describe how happy I am with the decision I made to join this family... that's exactly what it is, a family! Everyone from the clients to the coaches are all friendly, supportive and helpful. I joined the 5 week challenge at what I would consider my rock bottom. I was depressed, angry, the largest I'd been my entire life, and in pain. I was desperate and needed a way out of the hole I had dug myself into. The moment I stepped through those doors at the informational seminar, I knew this place was different. These were people who actually cared about your success and were honest about the hard work it would take to get you to where you wanted to be. These past 5 weeks have been life changing for me. With the help of extraordinary coaches, like Coach Hector Lozano, I was able to go from almost getting sick and passing out to doing two sessions in one day. Coach Lozano helped modify exercises I wasn't able to do to still obtain the maximum benefits from the workouts. Aside from losing 12 lbs and the physical changes that come with it, I can honestly say that the changes in my emotional and mental states have been the biggest accomplishment. Almost 6 months in!! Never have I stuck to any work out/gym cause I lost motivation. I wanted to loose pounds and drop pant sizes and when it didn't happen I was done.
