If you need motivation to make exercising a part of your every day life, you need to come to FitCamp LA. I have always lived an active lifestyle but found myself in a bit of slump for the first time in my life and I just could not get out of it. Never been a fan of exercise classes but I decided to give it a shot. Day 1: Okay I'll try the free class and if I like it, I'll do the 2 week trial. I LOVED the 1st class and realized just how bad I let it get. I decided to sign up for the 2 week trial. 2 week trial: They made me fall in love with this program SO I said, okay I'll do another month. 1 whole month: Not only do I look forward to exercising 4 days a week for 6 weeks now but I SEE/FEEL results! The Gym: They have so many cool exercise gadgets I love it. Dead lift bars, dip bars, plyo boxes...So many cool things. They play super loud awesome music so the time goes by so dang fast. It is also a very large space so you don't ever deal with bumping in to people. The Coaches: The three coaches are amazing. They have such great personalities and make you feel so comfortable. They know what they are doing which is really important. Don't worry about them being crazy mean bullies. They will challenge you once they see you are ready for it. Classes: They offer like 6 classes a day so no excuses. Each class begins with a detailed explanation of the exercises (including how to challenge/modify) followed by a warm-up, light stretch, HIIT, ending with a light stretch. They watch you through out the class and will correct you if you have incorrect form. FitCampers: You have all levels of fit here. People who just started exercising for the first time and those who are very fit. Everyone does their thing and worries about what they are doing so don't feel intimidated. There is a real sense of community here which is one of the reasons this program is so successful. Unfortunately I will no longer attend FitCamp LA, but not because I don't absolutely LOVE IT, I live too far. Commuting from DTLA is too much. I am grateful they got me out of my funk and I now joined a gym near my home. The good thing is if I ever need to come back I can easily do so without any long term commitment. Keep up the great work FitCamp LA, you guys have an amazing program and I wish you guys continued success. read more

Deciding to do the challenge at CAMP XCEL was a tough one I had been thinking about it for months. Finally, I signed up, went to the orientation and started the challenge January 17,2017 had my first weight in at camp xcel the scale was at 280lbs I was like omg how in the world did I let my self get so fat.... The first week was brutal! My body was sore and I had to schedule working out and meals around my family, which for me was emotionally hard. Thank god I had my husband with me and great advice from friends and coaches on my new journey! The second week though, I felt great! Had more energy, slept better, and started to LOVE working out. By the third and fourth weeks, it started to become like a therapy for me to work out. I was looking forward to going to do my work out session..... April 17,2017 just 3 months after taking the first step to a healthy life style I'm at 244lbs that's 36lbs I've lost by just doing my work out sessions and eating healthy it hasn't been easy but it's not imposible...... not at my goal weight but I'm Sure I will get there... thanks to all the amazing coaches at camp xcel for all the support you guys are amazing.... so if anybody is ready to change for a change in your life this is the place just remember they can only push you to a limit is up to you how far you push your self!!!! ‍ read more

This camp is amazing!! I have honestly never felt so motivated to work out until I tried the 10 day free trial. After that, I was hooked and signed up for the 6 month membership! Ive gone through multiple gym memberships, but was never consistent with going as much as I thought I would. With this camp, I feel more motivated to go to these sessions and you can tell the coaches put a lot of effort to make it a fun and comfortable environment. Levi, Jess, and Hector are all amazing and work with you so that you feel comfortable, no matter your fitness level. They go through a run down of the workouts that are going to be done and even provide modified versions in case the original workout is too difficult for some. I am currently on the second month of my membership and I have already felt positive changes in my body, such as losing a few pounds. I have two goals before my graduation in May 2018; to lose weight and to tone up. I know that as long as Im signed up at Camp Xcel, push myself during the workouts, and of course, take the advice from the coaches, I'll reach my goal. Signing up for this camp was honestly one of the best decisions Ive ever made, and I have never enjoyed working out this much before! Thank you to the staff at Camp Xcel! You all are truly amazing and I appreciate you guys! (: read more

A good friend suggested I do Crossfit to lose weight and get in shape, so I went on yelp and searched for Crossfit gyms near my house, CampXcel showed up on the top three on the list. I started wondering if this place would be different to a crossfit gym, but since I've never done any of them I decided to give it a try after reading all the great reviews. I signed up for the 5 week challenge, which I haven't started yet, but today I was able to do a free trial of their classes and oh man... It was awesome! I broke a good sweat! Coach Hector was nice and would let me know if I was doing my workout wrong. I really need to work on my push-ups, and I have a feeling that I will become a pro at them by coming to CampXcel. One thing though, the 90% off for the 5 week challenge doesn't apply anymore, so you would be paying almost full price starting June. I suggest remove that ad from your website. The facilities are nice and we also went outside the back of the gym to run around a couple of times. It was fun, with the rest of the people and the loud music... I'm looking forward to rock my CampXcel T-shirt once I start my 5 week challenge in a few weeks and start seeing results. read more

I started at Camp Xcel by signing up for the 5 week challenge and now that I have completed this challenge, I can say it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. The environment is so welcoming, that once you start attending the workout sessions, you just want to keep working out everyday. The staff is extremely friendly. The coaches go above and beyond for new and current members. All the coaches make sure to push you to your individual limits, without overworking you. They also correct your form or give you the boost in confidence to help you get one more rep in. The exercises are never boring because they are always changing. There is always something new about the exercises. They show genuine interest in the well-being of all who attend Camp Xcel. They take the time to follow up and check in with you to make sure you are not alone through this process--they honestly want you to succeed. Never did I feel judged by anyone because everyone is there for the same goal, to get better and stronger! I would recommend Camp Xcel to any of my friends and family. read more

I HATE IT!!! that's what I used to say about gyms and exercise, I tried the pool, a big gym, do it on my own and until 4 months ago that I became a member of Camp XCel, I never felt so committed to change my lifestyle. I won't say that it is an easy path, but here you feel so motivated, supported and they help you understand that you can do it, as long as you work hard every day. Coaches can't be better, they teach and guide you, they make you feel accepted and also will push you every time they see you can do more!!! I used to feel so out of place when I was exercising, but at Camp XCel you feel at home, with your family, this is not a gym.... you become part a community of people that care about how you feel, I would recommend them in a heart bit... such a great place!!! read more

In February it will be a year since I have joined Camp Xcel and I am so glad I did. I have worked with almost all of the trainers as they rotate gyms. This is a plus because you get to know everyone and you feel comfortable with everyone. I have worked with Coach Jessica and she is amazing with making you feel upbeat and making you feel energetic. I have worked with Coach Sergio and he pushes me to do better than yesterday. Coach Eddie is always bringing in new workouts that challenge me and make me want to perform my best. Coach Hector makes sure that I do not slack and am always progressing and getting stronger! I joined for many reason but now this is more than a gym membership its like your support group and family! read more

When I started I went it with a different mindset I just wanted to lose weight and be done with it but a lot of things changed since joining camp I loved the energy, the environment & the people (both members and coaches). I just joined Camp Xcel about two weeks ago. I was someone who NEVER worked out. I didn't know what direction to go or what to do. So joining camp was the best decision. The way the guide you and push you is AWESOME. Sometimes we need that extra push and we need that someone to say that we can do it. I love that the coaches are there to help you every step of the way. They are always willing to answer any questions or concerns you have without any hesitation. It can be intense but I know it will all be worth it in the long run. read more

I am currently enrolled in the 5 week challenge, and I'm not kidding when I tell you that this gym is amazing! The little time that I've been coming here I feel welcomed each and every time. I first started training here during Covid when I had very little experience with strength training. This is the gym that made me fall in love with lifting weights and where I really started seeing changes in my body. The coaches pushed me past my comfort zone and limits! I have never experienced such an impactful and high performing gym. No workout has ever given me the overall results that Camp Excel provides. My daughter and I have been going now for two years, and we do not have any reason not to continue. The staff and coaches are extraordinary, helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. They truly get to know each member, especially Coach Hector who pushes us to our best in each workout with hands-on instruction. read more
