She creates a fun, supportive environment where kids can learn essential cooking skills while having a great time. The lessons are well-structured, hands-on, and full of valuable tips that even parents can appreciate. My children have gained confidence in the kitchen, developed a genuine love for cooking and broadened their palate thanks to Chef Deb. I highly recommend Young Chef Academy to any parent looking to inspire their little ones and teach them lifelong skills in a positive, nurturing setting. Five stars all the way!

For us it was an hour drive each way but it was totally worth it to see the smile on my sons face. What I loved about here is that everyday after class they got to eat what they made so my son was always very proud and they teach kids how to really cook! Everything is made from scratch which even in Highschool classes I remember most things were always made from a box or jar. This summer program ran Monday-thur and at the end of the week they were given a cookbook with all the recipes they made during the week. It is a tad bit pricey but really sooo worth it.

The place has a big, climbable fire truck that my son loved. The place has several different themed rooms (grocery store, beauty salon, vet clinic, fire station) with coordinating toys and dress-up clothing for pretend play. The woman at the front desk said more themed rooms were in the works, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they add. Plus, there is a big play house with two sets of stairs and a big twisty slide to get down. I did see a small area for younger babies that i think was labeled for toddlers, but there is no way a walking kiddo will want to stay put there when they see all the cool stuff there is to explore! Kids and adults keep their shoes on here, and I noticed two party rooms for birthday parties. They also have events from time to time. Tonight, for example, they are doing pumpkin decorating. Apparently there is also a preschool here, although I don't know anything about it. You will have to decide for yourself if the place is worth the cost. My son only makes it about an hour at any play place / playground before he tires out or melts down, and he enjoys Kids Cove up in Bellevue (which is free) just as much, but some days driving up to Bellevue in 405 traffic is a pain and I'd rather go somewhere closer by that doesn't involve a mall parking lot (esp as the Christmas shopping season draws near). Plus going to the same places over and over gets monotonous for me as a parent. Wish there were more options in Renton where I live, but I still feel this place is worth the 20-minute drive. We will be coming back!

A year and a half ago, it was time to finally introduce my then 6 year old son to Taekwondo and decided to join The Way Martial Arts Center after a great trial class experience. I have been extremely impressed with everything The Way has to offer, from the great facility to the instructors who are just amazing with the kids! They make classes fun and engaging, while also teaching respect, integrity, discipline and confidence, which has done wonders for my child. They also offer teen and adult classes which motivated me to get back into it! The thing I love most about The Way is the community that Master Nini has built amongst the students and their families. From student summer camps and parents night out events to birthday parties, family classes and dojang fantasy football leagues, this is NOT a common "McDojo"... It's a place to grow physically and mentally, learn how to live with a positive "black belt attitude", and to meet amazing people who want to see you succeed, whatever your goals are!
