Dog friendly park with many trails to explore. Wear waterproof shoes as parts of the trail were in water. I was able to doge it but if you like splashing it could be fun. The trails were varied in size, wide and narrow. A dog friendly park as you can tell by the photos. Beautiful scenery and a lake in the middle of the park. I look forward to exploring this park more. The parking lot is very small. Across the street was a larger parking lot, but not sure if it was actually part of the park. No bathrooms here that I could determine. Quiet, plenty to see, love that the landscapes provide enough variable grounds for all type of walkers. From hiking trail like to paved "bridges". Easy trail for all ages. A peaceful lakeside park with acres and acres of land and paths for you to get lost on. Perfect park to watch the sunset in and catch the glimmer of the sun hitting the lake. Areas for fishing, walking the dog, and tons of fall themed photoshoots. Parking seems tricky on the weekend as there are limited spaces so carpool or try to get here early! Tons of wild life like hummingbirds, finches, dragonflies to see during your walk. The trails range from smooth dirt to rugged terrain so come prepared with sneakers! read more

I was looking for a new place to walk and thought I would check out this park. The parking lot is small, so it doesn't appear to get very crowded. There's a small lake with a dock, and some little bridges off to the left. I thought there might be a path that went around the entire lake, but I ended up about half way and reached a fence and needed to turn back. The water, the trees, the flowers and the fields were really pretty. Its a nice, quiet park. read more

I LOVE THIS PARK. This review is for all the time I spent there last summer. Being from San Diego, I'm used to parks looking flat, grassy, and maybe with a jungle gym and baseball lot. This place is more like a taste of the forest in the middle of busy Kent! This is a great place to bring the dogs, since it's bright, the landscape is dynamic, and it's never crowded. At most, I've seen maybe 3 other people at a time. During the summer, the lake view is gorgeous! Overall, it's not extremely large, but it hits the spot when you want to walk around for about an hour and take in the beauty! read more

This huge park is really amazing! Because of its large size, there are plenty of age-appropriate playgrounds that are ideally located so that I can watch over all of my kids at once. A lovely area for leisure and enjoyment with the family. read more

This park is beautiful and amazing. Only downside is that our friends car got broken into, along with another guys vehicle. We were there no longer than 45 minutes! Park at your own risk. We didn't pay attention but there is broken glass all over the place. This wasn't a first time thing that's for sure. Maybe the city can invest in installing cameras in the parking lot to catch these losers! read more

I absolutely LOVE this park. I went for my first time today, as it was my day off and it was TOO nice to stay inside. The parking lot is right off a main road, so I wouldn't be too worried about break-ins, really. The parking lot was also in good condition - I've noticed a lot of parks in Kent have dented signs, overflowing trash cans, etc. Not this one, though! The sign was clean and there was a bulletin board covered in lost/found pet flyers, band flyers, etc. All of the reviews talking about "Oh, it's too short!" clearly didn't take the time to explore. There is a straight shot right to the dock, yes, and it'll probably take about 8 minutes tops, but there are so many trails around the lake that can be explored. A lot of the trails break off into smaller trails as well in order to give visitors more to see. I was here for a little over an hour, and I only stayed at the dock for about 20 minutes. The rest of my time was spent exploring. Sitting at the dock was by far the best part of my day. The smell, the sun, the birds chirping... Just awesome! I was glad to see that the trails and the whole park itself wasn't covered in too much litter. Very minimal, actual. There were a lot of bird houses hung up around the lake too which was a cool thing to see. It was a perfect day to visit - the birds, bees, butterflies, and even a SNAKE was out! It slithered right across the main dirt trail, so they're not scared to stop by and say hi! If you live in Kent or are just in the area and need time to kill, this is a definite go-to spot. So glad there's a place to indulge in nature therapy in Kent. read more

This is a 130 acre park which makes it one of the biggest parks in Kent. You can easily have a long walk if you wish or take a short route and be done in 15 minutes. Clark Lake Park has everything from paved trails, unpaved trails, a pier, a shore, an old barn, a tree fortress, remnants of a 1920-30s treehouse, sandblasted messages on rocks, views of cows, a field with a great view of the lake (southwest corner), trees with bullets in them (from the old Kent days, don't worry), wild Chinese herbal mushrooms (in the forest), several Geocaches, apple trees, and so much more. There are sometimes herons on the lake and I saw a coyote in 2008. I've also seen rabbits and snakes. The park is usually used by people with dogs and teenagers. On a nice non-windy weekend, you can sometimes see a drones flying around (south side of park). Don't be surprised if you see volunteers fixing things up in the Spring. There are several yearly community service events here. I definitely recommend this place if you like to explore or have a dog... or want to reflect on life at the pier. read more

My 2 1/2 year old and I visited this park today. The parking lot probably has 6 or 8 spots plus a handicapped spot. So imma betting it fills up on a nice Saturday or Sunday. There are lots of offshoots of the path, and the kiddo had lots of fun deciding the route. We heard birds,saw an ant hill, pointed out the water, and just generally enjoyed exploring nature. It's a pretty nice bit of wilderness where people and animals alike can roam around. Have your kid go to the bathroom before they come. I don't think there are any bathrooms. read more

3 Star is A-OK and that is what it is - not Yeah I am a fan. First of all it is supposed to be dogs on a leash. Not happening. Second - more of a dog park than a people park. Other then us - I only recall two other groups without dogs. Even those people with dogs on a leash - they have those long leashes and seem to think everyone wants to be smelled by their dogs. I can see if you live here - it might be a fun place to exercise but there is not a lot of scenery to see. I definitely would not bring kids since twice we were "attacked" by dogs that came running up. Owners could care less. I only found one place you can really see the lake and not much wildlife around - we were there on a beautiful Fall afternoon. read more

I love this place! It is one of my favorite places to go on walks all year long! The only bad thing I have to say about it is that I once encountered a person who had a very aggressive dog off the leash that kept following my boyfriend and I, barking and growling at us. That was only one time and I doubt it will ever happen again. Other than that, it's a great place to go on a walk! read more

Came here on a sunny afternoon with a friend to do some "plein air" painting. Loved the variation of scenic views and abundance of hiking trails, some neat stairways and wooden bridges as well. A nice quiet park to get away from people. Could easily get lost however with no map given or trail signs! read more

Beautiful park! The main parking lot is small, so if you go during peak hours, expect to park at the other one. The park is filled with puppy sensory stimulating walkways: big walkable rock 'stairs', boardwalk to the water, flat bridges, creek, uphill grass pasture, and one steep wandering path, etc. The park is so big I almost got lost, but it was my first time, and my puppy was so tired when we got home. Plenty of people walking without dogs too. *Make sure to bring poop bags even though they have a station at the entrance, they are not stationed all over. read more

I came across this park randomly driving thru the hood. It's not a very big park by any means. The parking lot is small and though there is a trail there and a little lake, it's not huge. It's a nice little spot to have "me time" I guess you could say, haha. The park is located off the main road, so it can be kind of easy to miss if you don't know it's there (it's directly across from a church) but once you know where it is, it's not difficult to get to. read more

This is such a hidden gem in Kent. It's great for picnics or an easy hike. The trail doesn't go all the way around the lake, but there are at least a couple miles of winding pathways. There's only a small portion of lake access, but the boardwalks going through the wetlands are equally fun and interesting. I've taken beautiful photos here and gone on several nature walks with my family. This place is a favorite of ours. read more

Super park and a lake to boot. My pup and I love to take a stroll around the circumference of the park or on occasion twist and turn through the many trails. There are also a few benches to sit down on and just relax. There are two entry points, and I have never had an issue with parking. Actually the park never has a slew of people at the time I go (1 pm to 3 pm). I think the best aspect of Clark is the forest look it has, the trails are very clean, there are many different waterfowl and birds to view, and the rabbits have a wonderful place to live, hence it is very photogenic. I love this park...my 5 yr old son loves this park because of the dirty paths and of course the lake. My dog also loves this park. He gets to play with other dogs as well. There are a lot of dogs off their leash which I'm a little unsure of only because my dog is a rescue dog and a little timid...but it's still a great place. The ONLY bad thing I have to say is that the parking area is a huge target for ppl to break into ur car. My car got broke into and my purse got stolen in the middle of the afternoon. The crazy thing was that I want the only one that got got!!! They smashed my window out. The other ppl there forgot to lock their door and got their stuff taken as well. I have heard that it does happen a lot there. I just wish I heard that long before my car got broken into... live and learn...right!!! Overall, the park is a great park and I do go back occasionally but this time I leave NOTHING in my car!!! read more

This is a nice walking/jogging park. It has good trails throughout it with forest scenery and a small fishing pond that you can access from two different ways. The parking seemed fine, as long as it's not a hot summer day otherwise you'll need to park on the street and walk over. If you have dogs this is a great place to check out to take them on a walk. read more
