Nice paved trail for walking or biking plus side trail for horseback riding. The trail has up and downs so OK for a stroller perhaps, but probably too steep for a push wheelchair although it is easily acceasible. A porta-potty was at the parking area we began our hike. The trail crosses many roads and some have additional parking areas. This is a 'there and back again' trail (not a loop). Bikes pass on the left. There is some wild plant restoration happening along the path. We passed a couple of benches and one picnic table. Easy walk or ride, shady, pleasant trail. read more

Nice trail with mostly concrete paths, so you don't have to worry about muddy shoes. It's open to both cyclists and leashed dogs. There are dog waste bag stations, but they can run out, so it's always a good idea to bring your own just in case. The trail is quite long, stretching from Renton to Covington, with multiple access points and plenty of parking along the way. Be mindful of flooding after heavy rain--it's usually fine for cyclists, but if you have a small dog like mine who refuses to walk through water, you might have to carry them for a few steps. On the bright side, you'll get to see wild ducks, which can be a fun way for dogs to experience wildlife up close! read more

Be super careful about where you park. If you're using AllTrails and led to park near 124th and se 192nd, avoid the small parking lot located at 19226 124th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98031. Cars get broken in here all the time. Like weekly. Someone shattered my driver's side door, as well as those of every single person in the lot and anyone street parked. It's horrific that the vandals were brave enough to do this in broad daylight in a location that "supposedly" has monitoring cameras. Excellent trail but avoid parking! read more

This rating is for the parking safety measures... Tried to take a nice walk at this Trail, but when we got to one of the parking spots, on Lake Meridian Middle School side of the street, there were 4 cars parked and 1 empty space for our car. But as we were about to get out of the car, a very nice woman came and informed us that we shouldn't park there since 3 of the cars were broken into. As I looked, the driver side of the windows were broken into on 3 of the cars that were parked there. Thanks to the woman, we quickly left since we also did not want our car to be vandalized. Dunno what happened to this park area, but no longer safe. I would recommend you go somewhere else!!! read more

One of the tucked away trails located in Kent. Pretty wide paths in the spring and friendly people on the trail (if you see any that is). There was a mix of everything here: walkers, runners, people riding their horses and families too. Very flat trail which is great if you are looking for a knee friendly spot. A ton of animals and birds too. Will definitely return! read more

Soos Creek Trail is a paved, well maintained path that carries you ~7 miles through some of Kent's natural offerings. Lots of forested areas along with wetlands, and open fields, there's plenty of areas to enjoy being out in nature. Definitely very popular with bicycles, which can up on you quickly around a corner - something to keep in mind with children and dogs. The trail also offers a horse trail that runs mostly along the same path as the paved trail. Best early in the mornings, this place gets quite popular as the day goes by! read more

This is a nice place to take a long walk and your own pace. It's covered by trees so your not to exposed to the elements. There is a children's play area and there are restrooms. Parking is available. The trail itself has only 1 high point most is on and even level. So you can go out 2 1/2 Mel's without breaking too much of a sweat. Beautiful place to take the family for a walk. It's perfect to find a section for a jog or a bike ride as well.

Highlight of trail was the fact that people were walking and riding. An active trail is what you want to see when your outside. There are serval entryway to the trail. Places to sit and take in the fresh air. I felt safe out there. The trail does not loop around. Trash cans and restrooms are within the trail depending how far you venture into your walk. What I miss about this trail after moving out of the area is the fact that you can run on the pavement or on the gravelly area made for the horses. Now I'm in Everett where the trails are just pavement and suck for my plantar fasciitis. Plus Soos gave you the opportunity to run a fairly long distance without hitting too many roads or other obstacles. The trail I found here has you run to the road and through a shopping center and not even to hit two miles in the process. Argh. And views of strip mall are not as nice as views of nature and ducks and horses. Bottom line: Soos Creek, I miss you, and without you, I hate running. read more

I have walked this trail for years, I AM SO SURPRISED no one has Yelped it! I find this trail very beautiful to look at. It goes from Lake Meridian to Meeker Junior High School and there is a lot to see in between. I have seen runners, bikers, slow walkers, fast walkers, and even horses. The trail accommodates them all. There are a few break points in the trail that you can pick up at or start at the beginning and go all the way to the end. I like to mix it up and start in different places. All of it is paved except for the part for horses. At times there are benches and picnic tables to rest. There is also a playground at one point and a covered table with a BBQ. There are restrooms at that park, but only port-a-potties at either end of the complete trail. It is just as beautiful during the winter as it is during the summer. I was here yesterday for a brisk morning walk and it was so great! read more

I've driven by the trailhead near Meeker Elementary School for years and always wanted to check it out. Finally this week it's been warm enough to get out and enjoy the outdoors, so I figured I'd give it a try. Within the first mile I was kicking myself for not coming sooner. Great changes in scenery along the way from forest to wetlands with a few maintained areas near the midpoint for picnicking and whatnot. Wide fully paved path six miles from end to end. From the end opposite Meeker Elementary it's just a short hike to lake Meridian. read more

This is the best trail in the entire Seattle area. It is peaceful and separated from highways. You can walk or run for miles.

I love running this trail. It's 5.5-6miles long so you can get a nice long run in if you need. If you start from the ends of the trail the distance is nicely marked for you every half mile. Beautiful scenery. read more

This trail is close to our home but never tried it until this year! Don't know why I didn't do this earlier - great trail for walking, jogging, and cycling! I believe there's a horse trail that runs parallel to the paved trail as well. My dog and I passed by several people along the trail on a weekday - a few with dogs, some cyclists, and joggers. We had such a great walk! The scenery is quite nice too. You pass by little streams, a wooded area, and wetland area with birds. Due to the frequent usage of this trail, I would not recommend this trail for dogs that are not used to a variety of people moving at different speeds (children, strollers, cyclists, joggers). read more

We really liked this trail. It's pretty laid back...about 6 miles long...the section that we did...all paved. I'd do it in the early morning as it is in full sun a good bit of the way. Make sure to bring water! There is a place to go to the bathroom along the way, as well as picnic tables. So, you could bring a lunch or snack. read more
