Our toddlers had a great time climbing on the blocks, enjoying the slightly shorter and less steep toddler friendly slides, and the bucket swings.

The trail (non-paved) to the beach is moderately steep. Loose gravel in some points so be careful. It's pretty narrow too. The paved walkway backup is also steep and will get the cardio going. Along the trail are many picnic tables to sit, eat a snack, take some pics, and catch your breath. Only downside is parking is limited. Go early if you can. Overall highly recommend.

During the summer it's the best time to just lay out in the sun and swim in the heated pool. You must be nude to swim in the pool. I've always found the locals and residents at the park to be warm and helpful. There is a full covered kitchen available for anyone to cook in and eat at the picnic tables just outside. Being publicly nude seems strange at first but that soon goes away. No one cares what you look like, just who you are and they are willing to get to know you. A couple of years ago they built three small cottages next to the restroom/shower facility. They are called the "Birdcages". All three use the established facilities so it is a bit strange but worth the place to stay at a very reasonable price. I plan on going back there for my annual summer "migration" to the park. It's worth calling them at 425-392-6833 and talk about any concerns. They are very professional and concerned about your privacy. Cross it off your bucket list if for no other reason.

The best part is you can visit their website and you can check if the water is okay for the kids to play with . There's usually an update regarding if you can swim and such. The only thing I'm worried about is when there is no one there to facilitate the other kids swimming, because I noticed there were lots of kids who goes there without their parents or guardians. The cops do come around for their rounds sometimes, but not all the time . I always have my eyes on my kids because there were sooooooo many people and soo many kids during school break holidays and I can't even imagine summer break. If you want to entertain your kids for hours bring them here and just have a picnic and enjoy the sand with the kids. Don't forget the shovel and bucket though lol.

Nice swimming area and it was busy with kids occupying the area but I still felt it was too nippy outside to really enjoy the water. The Funland part is kind of an elaborate wood jungle gym which looks like a great place to let kids play in. Plenty of room in the park to spread out and and do picnics and just hang out. The weekend I went the park was popular with all of it's amenities including a snack vendor which was in the building where the restrooms were next to the lake. Parking isn't too bad but I was a little bit concerned if I was going to find a spot but there are two lots that you can use and the one towards the entrance to the park is bigger. Nice outing and glad I made it here as I had it on my list but I am glad I went when I did because in midsummer heat I am sure this park is super busy!

I will say that the parking lot is rather small and it can be very challenging to find any parking during the summer. When I arrived on this particular day, there was literally a line out to the road with vehicles trying to find parking. It can get pretty cut throat, too. The park itself is generously sized, in the splash pad has a lot of unique features that my kids really enjoyed. My favorite part is that they had features for small children as well as larger children. Usually when I go to other splash pads it smells funky or like chlorine. But this location smelled fresh and seemed to have been upkept recently. Western Washington is a notorious area for high amounts of trafficking, so I always have to keep an eye out wherever we go. But thankfully, this area seemed pretty safe so we will definitely be back next summer for more playtime.

It's not super big and the play structure isn't all that fantastic, but it has a huge sand play area which is really cool. I'm talking beach sand, not the gravel or bark that you find at most playgrounds, but real sand. However, it's the pump water faucet which flows into the sand that makes this park "whoa daddy, that's awesome!" Forget Alki, lets make sand castles in Kent! As mentioned in other reviews, it's a park that was put together in coordination with Disney so there is a bit of a theme to it. There are hidden Mickey Mouse's to find around the park and other "games" that are set up to try and find hidden objects. There are definitely some teaching and discovery tools set up around the play area. I'm pretty stoked Yelp discovered this park for us. According to my son, we will definitely be back.
