So that's probably hard to do for any stadiums anywhere. What's remarkable is the food and the liveliness it has during event days. Inside the stadium, of course, but even the outside and heck, the entire mile of a walk to the stadium itself is just energized with people hanging out and grabbing food. It cannot be understated how well the environment is out here. Of course, the stadium itself is a state of the art facility and probably one of the loudest acoustically. I think I heard it was specifically engineered for that? Don't quote me on that but it really does get loud out there, and I love it. Biased as I am, having lived here my entire life, this place is arguably the best setting in the world in my heart.

Scale, energy, and that classic Pacific Northwest night under the arches. When the crowd is locked in and the songs are big enough to fill the place, it really shines. That said, the acoustics aren't great for quieter or more nuanced moments (stadium echo is real here), and getting in and out can be a pain, especially by transit. The light-rail mess after this show didn't help. If you care more about atmosphere and hits than perfect sound, you'll leave happy. If you're sensitive to echo or prefer intimate acoustics, maybe stick to smaller venues. Sheeran keeps coming back for a reason though--this place works for his style of stadium intimacy, even if it's not a sonic paradise.

A student from Central Elementary School came up with the idea of a moose which, at the time, was odd because the state isn't known for moose at all. Of course, that ended up being the right choice as the Mariner Moose has been a beloved costumed celebrity for decades and I can't imagine him not being a part of the team. It's always fun to see him dancing on the dugout, kicking it with the kids, or cracking people up in crazy costumes. Next time you go to a game, give the Moose a high five and let him know how much we appreciate what he has meant to Mariners fans around the world.

The lady at the Symetra Club entrance was very nice and explained everything to us. She was slow and methodical, recognizing my handicap, and even helped point out where the restrooms were during the first intermission. Her kindness had a lasting impact on my experience. Lastly, it was my friend's very first Kraken game, so her helpfulness made a great first impression for my buddy too.

I'm aware of one thing, when this swashbuckling motley crew arrives on the shores of Alki Beach with cannons booming , guns blazing and the blade of a sword dragging on the ground it means one thing, SEAFAIR has begun in the Pacific Northwest . Seafair's annual Pirate landing on celebrates a generational folklore of a men dressed as pirates, yet it's more about the tradition many for community's in Seattle. It's a celebration and the landing is an annual official kick off to summer activity's in Seattle. However, they normally arrive around 1:30 p.m. COME ON FOLKS, PIRATES ARE LANDING ON THE SHORE BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES! PIRATES! PIRATES! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES, SHIT YOUR PANTS, DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING AT ALL!!!! As they walked up the shore, the motley crew with thick arms raised their swords and axes, some tossing souvenir Seafair coins for onlookers. "Arrgh!" one pirate yelled. "Who wants to lose a leg today?" Though the landing itself is over, the party is not - it's on until 5 pm. Live music started at 11am. Overall, the pirates were enjoyable!

Often, screaming, laughing, crying, or any combination of the three can be heard from the little ones. TIP #1 - Come during the week before Spring Break (for Seattle Public Schools). It's always filled with kids but believe it or not, sometimes there are less kids. TIP #2 - Make enough time for your kids to run around and buy a wristband. Believe me, it will be the best $7.50 you will ever spend. The tickets only make sense if you are literally going to be there for only 15 minutes (which is rarely the case with kids). TIP #3 - Stay out of the way. Set up a spot where your child can find you and develop a safety protocol for all situations. Depending on when you are there, you will feel like you're on a NY subway, what with all the bumping, stepping, pushing and shoving. While my child is running and jumping around with friends, I am catching up with my friends or grabbing a bite to eat. The Armory has decent food now, but if you're trying to save a few bucks, you can bring your own food. Parking is always an issue around Seattle Center. Most street spots, if you find them are either metered or have 2 hour limits. TIP #4 - If you're going to eat at The Armory anyway, the food vendors will validate 2 hours parking in the Seattle Center garages. Remember, Whirligig typically runs for around 2 weeks or so. Make an event of it and plan a huge play date. Your kid will love it. The only downside is they won't let grownups ride (trust me, I've tried).

The stadium itself is beautiful with sweeping views of downtown Seattle from multiple areas and Elliott Bay from the top deck. There are tons of retail spaces and a multiple of food options. Some are familiar brands - Salt and straw, Moto pizza and Ivars as examples - and others are more generic. Many of the seats are under cover in case of inclement weather but others are not (the outfield looked almost entirely exposed). The scoreboards are large and easy to read. The music between plays and innings was lively! And the fans were happy and loyal. People were considerate of one another and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I can't wait to go back for another game! Highly recommended for an amazing urban sports experience in a wonderful city. Go Mariners!
