Oh well, if I had a golf cart I'd probably drive it all over non stop too.

The owner/?husband called the escort and had us take a short cut through the tees. We have a large 5th wheel, this was not ideal. We got to our spot, the owner dictated how we parked on the site....it was way to close to the camper behind us. The owner was overly concerned about anyone parking on his "grass", clover is hard to kill! We were not allowed to put a rug out to reduce dirt tracking in. The worst part are the signs that warn people to check in at the office and that "EVERY" visitor is required to pay $5.00 each. The pool was closed, the internet did not reach our site...pay why? Had family stop by to chat and see the camper and we apparently had a knock at the door (thought it was the dogs) then it was a definite BOOM BOOM BOOM on our door. The man was visibly upset and demanded my sister move her car to a different spot, I said they were just visiting for a short time, he angrily said they should have checked in. I get that there are rules at these places to make sure it is a pleasant experience for all, but he made us feel very uncomfortable, when we were just staying to ourselves. Most spots appear to be long term, seasonal residents. Short term campers are stuffed in like sardines. Maybe focus a little on the broken down camper in the middle of the road and the kids over the weekend who blocked the roads and screamed at decibels that hurt your ears. I have family in town, but I will never go back there.

Reasonably priced, Very clean, very quiet and nicely landscaped. Met Kurt, son of the owner- what a super friendly guy. There is a nice walking path around the lake. All the RV spaces are gravel, spacious, wide for parking our tow, and with a portion of grass. It was easy to maneuver our 43 ft Class A Coach. We backed into spot #7, for two nights. Perfect !! We show up today to check in the entire area to the road to get to the campsite was flooded no signs no nothing once we get through that, we go check in and they tell us we're not taking reservations due to the area being flooded no phone call or nothing. We drove an hour and a half. They refused to give us a refund and would only give us a credit to come back within the next year or so, we reserve three camping areas and had to put a deposit down of 100 hundred per site so that's $300 that we have in credit for a place that we may not ever come back to the staff was very rude. Very disorganized, we asked if we could change days or reschedule due to the weather and the possible flooding and we're told no we would just lose the money if we didn't show up..

And it's quiet and calming…read moresituated among the woods of Victoria, Minnesota just 29 miles southwest of downtown Minneapolis. I absolutely loved every minute of my one night stay here! For any person, avid camper, adventurer, tourist, or simply just a local wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or looking for a short weekend getaway...this Lake Auburn Campground is it! Alright well, although it may not have all the amenities I look for when camping out (like showers, flush toilets and electrical AMP Power), I was easily able to overlook all of those additions for the simple fact this place is so easily accessible for folks like myself who showed up randomly without a reservation and needing a simple spot to rest for the evening. I couldn't have been more pleased and satisfied with my experience here. Let me run down all the terrific details this Carver Park Lake Auburn Campground offers.... - They have 57 campsites. - Prices are $15.44 for each campsite per night and then with 6.8% sales tax it = $16.50 in total. - They accept cash or check payments. - There's Wi-Fi, though cell phone reception works perfectly. - You can purchase firewood for $5 per bundle. - Check-in is at 4pm and you can check-out as late as 3pm. - You can re-register for each additional night starting at 11am. - Make reservations ahead of time by calling (763) 559 - 6700. - Quiet hours are 10pm - 7am. - Maximum of 2 tents and 6 guests per site or 1 tent and 1 RV. - Each site has a firepit and picnic table for barbecuing. - Pets are permitted at campsites but must be leashed among the grounds. - Even beer and wine are permitted, though no kegs or hard liquor. - How cool...they rent canoes, rowboats and single kayaks by the lake for $15 every 2 hours, and tandem kayaks for $20 every 2 hours. - Dump Station is $5. Some last things I'd like to mention.... - I discovered this Carver Park Lake Auburn Campground through the amazing app on my phone called Campendium. I highly recommend it for all camping enthusiasts. - The entrance road into the campground was not paved but easily drivable on very flat ground. - Once past the entrance station, I simply looked for an unoccupied campsite, backed my car into the space, set up my tent and then returned to the front section with my written check payment inside an envelope and released it into a white drop box. - I was able to pitch my tent on nice, fluffy grass which made the padding for lying down inside my tent that much more comfortable. Ya know, a lot of campgrounds are situated along hard, dirt ground that can make for difficult night sleeps. But not here, I always appreciate setting up on the grass! - Even though it was no big deal for me, there weren't any showers and only vault toilets. I guess just keep that in mind for when visiting. - The town of Victoria, MN is only 2 miles away and has all the extra necessities you'd expect from a big town like restaurants, grocery stores and even a Dairy Queen to stop in for a blizzard dessert treat at night. And that's it. I can't say enough good things about this Carver Park Lake Auburn Campground. Had I been staying in the area longer I'd happily camp out another few nights. In the end, I just keep thinking about how it was so peaceful here among the charming woodsy outdoors of Minnesota...I hope I can return during my 2022 summer cross country road trip.

There is a noticeable need of maintenance throughout the park, check the rusty pump pic. Some paths have trees across and these are not fresh falls. The river path has erosion and it wouldn't take much of an ankle slip for a slide into the pond for at least a knee length soaking. Other than that the trails are well marked and we can either continue to branch out further or take a loop back. It's easy to plan your hike length based on your endurance. There is a large camping area and lake access.

We definitely climbed around and explored more than expected The waterfall is beautiful from different angles, and if you like taking photos, there are a lot of fun spots and textures to capture. Depending on the time of day, the sun makes the water sparkle which looked really pretty. It felt peaceful, relaxing, and like a nice little escape without needing some huge hike. Definitely bring decent shoes if you plan to explore near the water or rocks because it can get slippery. Would absolutely recommend if you enjoy nature, photography, or just finding quiet pretty places.
