they are all about the money- charge for EVERYTHING. very expensive. bathrooms by office are gross they are the same as they were in the 70's read more

They charge way too much and are greedy when visitors visit. My daughter stopped by for 2 hours and they made her register and pay additional fees for zero of their services. This place is the most expensive place we've been too and what they offer is so limited. We will never be back. I recommend you take second look at other places. You are on top of everyone... they squeeze you in like sardines... and take your money for every minute. read more

Nice size campground but expensive and they nickel and dime you for everything! Campsite came with two wristbands I had to pay an extra $6 per night to allow my son to stay with me and if you want guests to visit during the day they get to pay too!!! I tried messaging before staying here as they offer text communications however they were rude and said look it up on our website and app, it was a simple question about activities on a certain day and app was not working well on my phone. We had friends that wanted to stay on our site in a two person trailer that was smaller then a tent, they refused to allow that and were also very rude to my guests. Overall we had 5 camp sites and plan on making this an annual trip but don't think we will be coming back here. Our camp site was very sandy and dry not much grass. Fire pits do not have cooking grates. The primitive camp site appears to be secluded and nice private area but you get to smell the dumpsters the entire time, we kept looking to see what was dead in the woods but it was just garbage. Is you want to purchase wood it's a hefty $7 for a few small pieces. It appeared the kids loved the pool and arcade area and there a good amount of young kids around buzzing through on bikes and scooters. Although there were supposedly activities we did not see them going on. There was a food truck on Friday night which was nice so that we did not have to cook after setting up camp. Showers were $.25 to use but water stopped in middle of shower and we did not have another quarter, remember to bring quarters; not sure why they need to charge to take a shower when you're paying the hefty camp fees in the first place. The positives: The grounds were clean as in litter free, fire pits cleaned out ready for use, roads in good condition, site numbers labeled nicely, there was a convenience store, arcade, and a pole barn you could reserve for events. If you like quiet campground was pretty quiet at night and most people lights out by 10pm read more

The campground could use some updating and repairs of certain amenities such as repairs to the laundry area which at this time they have no intention of doing and have no problem in admitting to. Not all sites have septic. Once a week they send a pumper to empty, not clean, the black and gray tanks which helps but probably should increase that service to twice a week for those monthly long term residence. Our site was a creek side site. We stayed a month; even though we did not have all the amenities other campgrounds have we enjoyed every minute of it and would return. read more

We had a great time staying at Cannon Falls Campground! Staff was kind and helpful, pool was awesome and our site was clean had beautiful mature trees surrounding it! I would recommend staying here:) read more

New owners are only in it to make as much money as they can get out of you. Customer service is horrible and no one cares about controlling partying camper's, despite them saying it's a family campground. read more

this is not camping... this is city camping. sites are right on top of each other . owners are very short and on the edge of rude.. nothing special about this place, would never camp there again .. read more

We have stayed at this campground a number of times. We like it because at 11 o'clock they make sure that the campground is quiet and our kids are able to go to sleep without having drunk neighbors keeping everybody awake. They have a really nice pool in the middle of the campground that is heated and kid friendly. They try to make sure on the weekends that they have stuff for the kids to do. They have wagon rides hay rides and other activities for the kids. The price on this campground is a little more than other campgrounds in the area however they have paved road's a nice playground and entertainment for the kids. We do like this campground and intend to come back here many times over. If you want to campground that you can stay up late and party hard this is not the campground for you. If you want to family-friendly campground to make sure rules are followed, people are safe and people go to bed on time this is a campground for you. All of the sites are very good sized and the owners are friendly. I recommend staying at this campground anytime you're looking for a nice family vacation. read more

We have camped at Cannon Falls Campground for years, they changed ownership along with customer service. We are booked and paid in full to camp for their 3 night minimum, 4th of July weekend 2023, they decided to change it to a 4 night minimum, which we can't do, I asked them to just refund us since they won't let us stay for our 3 nights, they charged us a cancellation fee, even though THEY changed our reservation. read more

The owner was not friendly on the phone. Acted more like we were a hassle than customers. When we got there they told us that we have to pay for more than 2 kids per household. Fine if they had a legit reason but they blame it on everything they can. They don't give you a straight answer like well we charge you extra because we want to. The pool was nice so I will give them 2 stars. We have camped at waaaayyyyy friendlier campgrounds. They would call our kids pests when they went into the store to purchase treats. read more

We've been camping here for over 15 years. Every year it seems to get more expensive. This year is the final straw. We have five of us staying on our campsite three of us in our camper and my daughter brought a pup tent so they could sleep outside separately. They are getting charged $150 for memorial weekend ON TOP OF THE $150 we are already paying for our smallish 22.5 foot travel trailer. This is absolutely insanity. We are perfectly fine with paying their six dollars a day for extra people on our campsite. I understand the need to pay for the extra services. But they aren't willing to understand our position. And since as they say "rules are rules" we can take our services elsewhere next year. We do will not be coming back again!!!!! I have had it with this place. read more

This place is the worst. Compact camping, an owner who is a total ass hole. Junky and overly expensive. Don't waste your time. Owner argumentative, tells you what to do, micro manages, total failure. Sucks. read more

I don't normally write bad reviews but I had to completely start a new yelp account just because of this place I do not highly recommend you coming here unless you want to be miss treated and all that and not to mention just because they don't like some thing they'll probably steal it from you because when we are staying here they told us that they don't like a certain thing and they took it from us and put it in their back room so if you want to stay here and get stolen from go ahead but I highly recommend it don't stay here Plus if the owners are seeing this you really need to get a life read more

This was not my first camping experience at Cannon Falls Campground. But it quite possibly was my last. The place was full and I was extremely disappointed in how closely they packed us in! I guess the other 2 times I've been there, they weren't full because I wasn't on top of the neighbors and vice versa. Sometimes you get over that with some good service, but nope! not that either. In fact the lady in the office was downright bitchy. And nickle and dime ya to death...ya, you betcha they did. read more

All I did was call...I didn't even camp here and I was turned off. I'm not sure who answered the phone, but he was not happy I called. I asked about a camp site for 4 adults and he replied "What kind of adults? I hope you know this is a family campground." Ummm...okay. Needless to say, I looked elsewhere. read more

The WORST experience ever! I have never dealt with anyone as rude as these people. The sites are on top of each other...not even 10 feet from other campers. There is a deposit and then additional payment required for a site! It was the most money I have ever thought about spending to camp in a tent. Needless to say we would have rather slept along a road in the car. We refused to stay and went to Lake Byllesby park and it was excellent. Save yourselves from having to deal with these rude people along with saving a huge dent in your pocket books. read more

Beautiful, well-kept campground with a nice pool and playground. I would definitely agree that the owners are a bit cranky, but as long as you are mindful of the rules they don't bother you. read more

This is easily the worst customer service I have ever witnessed (this includes dealing with cable company and cell phone customer support)! We drove up (6 30+ yr old adults) and asked for a campground incredibly politely and were even willing to pay $40!! for one campsite with a maximum tent capacity of 1 per site. We were tired and just wanted somewhere to sleep for the night. The girl working the register politely took our payment and after we signed the OWNER of the site then threatened to called the sheriff on us if we broke his rules. We said okay were just going to sleep. He then reiterated to us that he would not hesitate to call the sheriff and us YOUNG PEOPLE (we are 30+ yr olds) have no respect for him. In order to lighten the mood we made a joke and he DEMANDED we apologize for disrespecting him and he chased us out of the office. After letting him cool off for a few minutes we went back inside and asked for a refund. The site is also bad and cramped and not at all worth $40... go check out Lake Byllesby Campground we had a great experience there $16 for us to camp there with 2 tents, it's just a better site, better service and 1/4 the cost. read more
