Ask the Community - CAMP EDMO - Sacramento

Is the summer heat a factor for Camp Edmo ? Concerned about keeping them outside for 6-8 hours in 90-100 degree temps.

Our camp is designed so campers have plenty of indoor and outdoor time. Campers spend about 2 hours through out the day outside playing and other fun activities with our camp staff.

During his first training session an associate (called a "Sensei") gently guided him and then let him work independently. When our son had questions, they were there to quickly address them. When I arrived for pick up everyone was upbeat about what they had accomplished that day. That was over a month ago now and we are still going strong. We will likely even increase our membership at some point. I was scanning through the reviews and Janet M. incorrectly wrote that they charge $75 an hour? Wrong. We are pleased, the owners are wonderful and very involved with their clientele. This business is spotless and everyone is very careful to follow COVID safety guidelines. Want to try something new? Highly recommend.

Super disappointed and upset about the decision to participate in their class events.

My granddaughter and I chose the two-hour trail ride around Folsom Lake, and it exceeded every expectation. I've owned horses and have ridden extensively, so we came with experience and simply wanted to enjoy a beautiful morning ride together. Our guide, Will, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, personable, safety-conscious, and made the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and cares about both the horses and his guests. The horses were well-mannered, the scenery around Folsom Lake was breathtaking, and the pace was perfect for taking it all in. The best part? The smile never left my granddaughter's face all day. Those are the kinds of memories that last a lifetime. Thank you, Will, for making our ride so special. We highly recommend Boarding on the Lake and can't wait to come back!

The snack bar is well stocked with just about anything you want, but I secretly think it is a trap as my kids have talked me into something each time we have been there. The referees have been fantastic, especially for the little ones being patient and explaining what the rules are and having fun while they do it. It would be nice if there was a bit more time between games as you are being stared at in the stands by the next games parents while you wait for your kiddos to come off the court. The only drawback of this location is getting back onto Industrial after the game, especially if both this center, the one across the street, and the soccer facility are all having events. It would be nice if the businesses worked with the City and County to put in a traffic light there to make this a bit easier.

In our play here however, we have found the backdrop of windows around the courts to be a safety concern. I would highly suggest more padding on the glass portions of the facility. Courts with windows behind the basketball hoops have metal mullions that are very dangerous, we have seen players break their arm on the mullion and other players get very hurt from slamming up against them. My other request would be to rotate the refs per game per court, I have 2 sons, 2 different teams that played back to back on court 5 from 2-6 and they had the same refs the entire time, both age groups were very physical and the refs called very little in fouls, 3 in the key, sportsmanship conduct. They seemed tired. Kudos for getting to play consistently with challenging teams just a few items that would improve the experience and safety.

To most Most "chain" daycares, a child can be just a number.... But NOT at TNT KIDZ! It feels like FAMILY! There are community events- and parents nights where we can only drop off our child that attends the center, but his siblings, so mom and dad can have a much-needed date night! Most disrespectful place to leave children.....gentle parenting DOES NOT WORK! Children need consequences, consistency, curriculum....this center says play based however more like combat. Many injuries happen to staff members and young children such as black eyes and other injuries caused by objects being thrown by unruly out of control small children. This writer's opinion is to NEVER enroll any child here ever, as most of those attending have out of control behavior issues. Staff turn over is high due to management of the center and abusive children to staff. No adult should NEVER be afraid to go to work, but here is a daily challenge. It appears to this writer management only care for the bottom line. This place needs the license pulled for irresponsible management, health and safety to staff and children.

It was wonderful to see them so engaged, active, and having so much fun. One of the things I appreciated most was the enclosed Kids Zone. As a teacher, it gave me peace of mind knowing the children could play safely while still enjoying plenty of freedom to explore. There was also a nice covered area for parents and chaperones to relax, as well as a great space for eating and gathering as a group. This was our second year visiting, and it was just as fantastic as the first. The staff and facilities made our field trip easy and enjoyable from start to finish. We will definitely be back again next year! Highly recommend for school groups and families alike!

As a first time visitor I was excited, but definitely anxious too. If you're visiting the first time I would recommend the "Pick 3." Bathrooms: One of the first things I noticed was the condition of the bathrooms. It was disappointing to see old cobwebs inside the restroom stall while I was using it. A little more attention to cleanliness would improve the overall experience. Safety Instruction: The biggest issue for me was the safety briefing. We were told we'd receive a 20 minute instructional video. However, once we got to the area where our harnesses were, the staff started fitting us into our gear while the video was playing. They were explaining the buckles, straps, and safety equipment at the same time the video was giving important instructions. Trying to watch the video, listen to the staff, and pay attention to how my harness was being secured all at once was overwhelming. By the time they finished fitting the gear, the video had ended, and we were sent straight to our first course. I didn't feel confident or fully prepared because I was left with several unanswered questions, which only increased my anxiety. I also think the safety instructors stationed throughout the obstacle courses could have given clearer, more thorough directions. There were multiple times I had to ask the same question in several different ways just to make sure I understood what I was supposed to do. Clearer communication would have made me feel much safer and more confident throughout the experience. Overall, the courses itself was exciting, but I believe improving the cleanliness and making the safety instruction more organized and easier to follow would greatly enhance the experience for first time visitors.
