He is a very social kid, but not much of a sports player. When the postcard for Camp EDMO came home, I was sure he would roll his eyes, but instead he said he wanted to give it a try. He chose game coding and, day one, he was hooked! His group is creating a video game. It involves potatoes, so that's already funny! The activities, the staff, the general vibe, are wonderful. The counselors are so good at encouraging him to use his creative side to its fullest, and rather than try to change him, they have allowed him to be confident with who he is and how he thinks. The kids support and encourage one another, (despite age differences, and regardless of roles). For shows, they are paired up with buddies who can walk them through the process or send them encouraging notes, etc. they focus on character development, and how kids learn what I would consider to be important qualities, such as discipline, resilience, kindness, etc. Even the parents get to join in on the fun, as parent involvement/volunteering is required for shows. I've really enjoyed connecting with other theater moms and dads and working together on parent teams. I also like that parents are not involved in the classes. That means if your kid wants to do theater and you don't have the time to volunteer, you still have options for them. The teachers are passionate and highly capable. From what I've seen, they are immensely talented in their own fields. Each time one of my children takes a class, they definitely come away knowing more than they went in knowing, and it shows in their performances. Our oldest child has been involved with CYT over the past couple of years, and we have seen great growth in her singing and dance abilities, as well as her drive and work-ethic. We're definitely excited to introduce the siblings to CYT.

My 6 month old daughter has been attending Kindercare Antelope for 2 months. She loves it! I can…read moretell she really enjoys going and her face lights up when she sees her teachers. I was so nervous at first leaving my daughter at daycare but the teachers in the infant room are so easy to talk to and very attentive to my daughter. I always drop her off early morning and when I come in they are always changing sheets and organizing. The infant room is very well kept, colorful, and I really like that there are different classrooms for different ages. I really enjoy the app because they send me updates and pictures throughout the day. She was sick for a week and missed out on tie dye day. The staff were happy to accommodate her and do one for her the following week. I appreciate them taking the time to make her feel included. I know she is 6 months old but it is important to me that gets the most out of this experience. I will post update after first year but so far so good. I highly recommend infant room. Just prepare for little one to get sick which our pediatrician did say would happen since baby had not been exposed to much yet.

The teachers and directors of the school are so friendly and always give a warm welcome and fond farewell during pickups and drop-offs.
