I heard about this spot a couple years back from my SIL but never made the time to go. Now that my…read morethree youngest kids eat strawberries like they're candy and it was Mother's Day it seemed like the best time to go! Although, it was a bit of a drive for us coming from Sacramento/Elk Grove we were able to maximize our time there. The strawberry farm is family owned and located not too far from other businesses in the area if you wanted to find something to eat or find somewhere else to hang out afterwards. There was a food truck, Laopino, that had delicious lumpias, music, a bubble machine, plus a few games and activities to keep the little ones occupied, and shaded tables to enjoy your fresh harvests. :) Tickets are only available online. Weekend tickets are released on Thursdays at 7 pm. When choosing our date and time it shows we only had an hour to pick but really we got to take our time and enjoy our morning. I feel they show you have a one hour slot to help stagger guests in. I love how they had a little gift shop set up, another tent with fresh flowers, drinks, and beautiful cookies at the register to purchase. The strawberry fields had plenty to choose from. We saw lots of bright red ones varying from all sizes. The staff also informed us there were 6 types of strawberries being grown! My kids enjoyed only for a short while and mainly wanted to stay in the kid area. There are also plenty of photo ops on the farm too! We would absolutely return in the future. Highly recommend!

What a great experience! I went on the Fairy Trail with my son and his wife and their almost…read more6-year-old daughter. She loved every minute. Wandering down the trails to find all the little vignettes was fun and then we enjoyed meeting all the animals and feeding them treats. Hard to pick any favorites amongst the animals but the little goats were a big hit since they were so easy to interact with. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and we appreciated the popcorn, cider and water snacks. I'm not sure if we actually found all the items on the "treasure hunt" but they kindly allowed my granddaughter to pick a "prize" anyway and she loved the purple magic wand she chose. One difficulty is that there is no restroom, not even a portapotty. Given the location that is not good as it is quite a distance to get to any place with a public restroom. Another is that there is no way to contact the venue by phone if you have questions. I almost didn't go because I was a bit late and the confirmation I received said that we had to be there at our specific time with no ability to change it. Fortunately my son was able to email them and ask if I could catch up to them on the trail if I arrived a bit late and they responded quickly enough that I didn't have to turn around and go back home (my drive there was two hours).

We attended a holiday Bonfire. This included a short walk with goats, feeding a wide variety of…read moreanimals (goats, alpacas, pigs, donkeys, ducks, and rabbits- listen to how they tell you to feed them to keep you & kid's fingers safe from teeth), bunny cuddle time, as well as s'mores & drinks by a bonfire. It was really nice balance of guided events and time to explore alone. Even though a lot of animals wandering around, the location was clean, well kept, and they had a hand washing station. My child immediately asked to go back for other event on the drive home. It was a really well done event, especially for the price. You are in the woods so wear clothing for mountain weather and tick protection.
