So when I travel or work long days and need someone to look after the pups, I'm very particular about where they go. A friend referred me to Camp Bow Wow and I've used them several times. So far, my dog hasn't said anything good or bad about her experience, but she seems happy enough to go inside with a staff member. While I appreciate the service they provide, it is a bit pricey, so I have to be selective about when I bring my dog here. Have been bringing our dog to this facility quite a few times. Within first 2 times he went, he got sick. We told the facility as it is contagious and they did not care. I saw another dog get dropped off right after I told them and they did NOT let the next customer know. They hope you bring your dog in to get sick so they can say they can't do anything. Well when all customers stop bringing pets they will do something like clean the place. We keep dog home for over 3 WEEEKS and bring him back for a day and now sick again and will not eat. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. EMPLOYEES AND OWNER ARE ONLY CASHING PAYCHECKS, NOT CARING FOR YOUR PET. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD HAPPILY. read more

Our Dodger boarded here for the very first time. I was a super anxious Dog Mom dropping him off. The staff was WONDERFUL and put me at ease. They didn't even make me feel bad when I called to check up on him a couple of times. LOL We truly feel they love our Dodger as their own. He absolutely LOVES ALL of his furry friends at CBW Sandy. And all of the Camp Counselors know him very well. We're always greeted so warmly at CBW. Their enrichments and themed activities are also so FUN. Dodger absolutely enjoys his play time there. Made my puppy get tons of vaccines just for her to come home super sick. Horrible place.

Worst day care I have been to. Just a few issues, not enough room for everything. You wait at the front desk sometimes almost ten minutes, the same when you pick up. They take more large dogs than they can accomodate, no number limit like most day cares, and put your dog in a "cabin" they say for them to have some time out, but there are fights, my dog was bittern, they called me to tell me he had a scratch from another dog, so I did not worry. Too late to have it stitched after I picked him up. Bought a collar here, was charged and they kept trying to charge me again. When I brought my dog in for three hour they could not guarantee he would not be put in a cabin.That is code word for isolated in a small room they use for boarding dogs. and if you have an issue, they will email you to talk about it, but never will call you to resolve. read more

I had my rather large Siberian Husky groomed at Camp Bow Wow,Sandy,UT. November 17th 2022. The only reason i used them is because my usual groomer (Alexanders) was booked until after the 1st. of January. When I picked Zypher up he was wet, not brushed out properly and seemed to be traumatized and still is a day later. I payed $110 + a genourus tip for their top of the line package. They did not strip out his undercoat as they should have and I paid for that. As a result of that not being done and he was wet when I brought him home, his undercoat has now matted to the exent it's almost impossible for me to brush him out myself. Other groomers performed the undercoat stripping with no problem. It seems very evident to me the staff member that preformed services either dropped the ball or is not qualifed to properly groom large dogs or any dog!! Zypher's temperment is extremly mellow, loving and layed back. Every groomer he has ever seen has made comment that he has been a pleasure to work on,behavior is not an issue.I also asked if they had expressed his anal glands and was told that no one on their staff was qualifed to do so.This procedure is routinely performed by certifed groomers. Makes one wonder if groomers at Camp Bow Wow are amatures. Finaily,I would not let them groom a Hamster. WHAT DID I PAY FOR??? read more

They're a JOKE. We took our puppy there for basic training. On day 1 the trainer broke down into tears and left for the majority of the class with everyone standing around not knowing what to do. We powered through the classes and after being assured their top trainer would be teaching the second set of classes, we signed up Knowing it would be a different trainer. They charged us $140 and said they would circle back in a few weeks once they had finalized their schedule. We waited and heard nothing and followed up a few weeks later. When we called them they said they forgot to include us and were sorry and would get us into the January classes, again reaching out once they had the dates finalized. We just followed up to see what the schedule was and some girl named Hannah said they forgot to include us yet again and we missed the classes. She said she was unsure what had happened but was sorry. I said that was fine and we would just get reimbursed since they dropped the ball twice on us and she said the only thing she could offer was an apology because they don't do refunds even though it was their error twice. We would NEVER use their services. It was not clean, unorganized, and they have a bunch of children running the place and answering phones who have absolutely no sense of empowerment. We had heard bad reviews prior to using them but felt that since it was basic training we would be ok since we have gone through dog training with past dogs. The company is worthless. Don't spend your money here. I'd be surprised if any of the trainers are actually trained to do their jobs. Not impressed read more

My dog contracted a severe case of "kennel cough" after a recent 4 night stay at this facility. I notified them on July 25th and have yet to hear back 3+ days later. I feel this shows a total lack of concern for the well-being of my pet and I obviously can't be sure they are trying to determine how it happened or if they are trying to improve practices to prevent other animals from getting sick. read more

Dropped off our dog Thursday morning with instructions to feed 3x per day. 1 cup dry plus 1 can wet. We left 1 extra can. When we picked her up Sunday at 4pm. there was 6 cans left over. After investigating the owner told us she was not fed lunch at all and miss a wet can on another meal as well. I ask for some type of refund. The owner said no. NEVER GOING BACK. read more

I came into the facility last week to ask questions and get my 3 dogs set up for boarding for July 2022. I came back to do the interview today and when I walked in the young girl asked me what I was there for and I told her an Interview and she very rudely said "oh great" like she was implying she didn't have time. I was asked to wait in the holding section (for 15mins )while she gathered my vaccine Information and helped other customers. They weren't able to get all the information so I was denied my interviews with all three dogs. Huge waste of time. The place is loud and chaotic with no outdoor space and what seems to be too many animals that bark non- stop. Needless to say I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

My dog goes for doggy daycare once a week and also boards there when we go out of town. The staff has always been professional and easy to work with. They always know Millie (my dog) the second she walks in the door. Millie continues to be so excited every time we pull into the parking lot. These guys are amazing with our dog. I can only speak to the boarding services but they are great. We have tried multiple other places and our dog always comes back with no voice and bad habits. Not here. From the moment we walk in the door they know who she is (we've only boarded her a few times since they've opened) and she is always excited to go with them. Hello everyone, this is a public statement about a business here in Sandy. If not allowed please delegate. I'm not looking for anything from the kennel as they have proven total disregard or concern. Our dog Jackson perfectly healthy and all vaccinations. Spent July 16, 17, 18 , 19 at Camp Bow Wow on 9400. He contracted a Severe case of kennel cough. He has been put on three heavy duty medications, and put on a three week home quarantine. The business was very slow to respond to our notification. And, to our understanding has not notified other guest owners of this very very contagious bacterial disease that was at their facility during that period of time. We all know and take a risk of our animals being exposed while being kenneled. But when a kennel is notified of such a contagious disease and has no policy or notification of other pet owners or corrective action for other dog owners that's not a professional or caring respectful business . read more
