I have a timid, sometimes reactive and aggressive dog, who needed a lot of help with training. After an hour consultation with Makenzie, we decided to do three day & train sessions where my dog would go to their facility for a half day of training one on one with Makenzie, three at home 1:1 sessions in my dog's natural environment, and three hour long group classes. The amount that I learned in these 6 weeks was absolutely mind blowing. Training your dog is about practice and consistency, and speaking your dog's language, and Dogtown gave me the confidence and the knowledge to be able to train my dog on my own. The day & train opportunities were a wonderful way to start. Makenzie would train my dog 1:1 and then would send me videos about everything they worked on during their sessions. When I came to pick her up, Makenzie would show me what they worked on and how I could practice it at home. The training sessions in my own home were incredibly helpful as well. It gave me time to practice with my dog(s) in their natural environment and refreshers on what we had already learned, and building upon the skills she was learning. The group sessions were amazing for my dog, and any dog, to have an opportunity to practice in a new, overstimulating environment with other dogs that she doesn't know. Since she is apprehensive around other dogs, this was amazing practice for her. On top of everything else, the team is so friendly and kind, and the trainers are so knowledgable. I had the chance to take a group class with their trainer Maren and she was wonderful as well. Thank you to the team for teaching both me and my dog the skills to be better trained.

Next, she had an angry red sore on the top of her back law, they said it was a "rug burn or something", very nonchalant about it. I kept her home for three days to keep an eye on it and ensure it healed. Today, many owners were clogging the entry, the woman at the desk seemed angry and when she went back to get my dog, someone yelled and I heard a dog yelp. I was worried, then when my dog was brought out the woman opened the door and ran the door over my dog's paw. My dog yelped loudly and cowered. It was so frustrating. I think worker was flustered and maybe needed help, but still... I have been unhappy with new management and so much staff turnover. Not sure they truly care about pups!

My little Jack Russell would try to jump out of my hands when I would go through her door and the dog saw her. I had a situation were my husband passed away, I moved to Seattle to be closer to my kids and had someone I thought would take good care of her. Their situation wouldn't allow them to keep the dog so I thought of Leslie, I told her about my situation and how sad I was so I flew back to Salt Lake and Leslie met me at the airport. This 3rd time she had cuts on her rear paws and they would've become infected if she stayed any longer. Staff ignored my request to put her cone on over night to prevent paw licking. They do not follow your feeding instructions. They couldn't give me a confident answer if she had eaten or not when I picked her up and they told me she ran out of food which surprised me as I always pack more food than what's needed for the stay. I question if the animals are ignored by staff too, the dogs outside are free roaming and I've never seen a staff member out there. All these issues under "New Management". Avoid this place if you care about your pets.

The booking process was super easy and I got a text confirmation the day before. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff who took time to introduce themselves to my little man and walked me through their plan for him that day. The intake process was pretty quick, going over vaccinations and temperament questions. I was pleased to see that Walter would get to spend the morning frolicking with the other doggos rather than chilling in a kennel. The staff let me know that they would keep him a little longer so that he could get acclimated to the sounds of the grooming stations before his actual treatment. I left knowing he was in good hands. A few hours later I got a call that Walter was ready to be picked up. They let me know that he was a little bit naughty (to be expected on a first grooming) but that all in all things went well and they thought he'd improve with future visits. The cut itself was not great but considering the limited success that I've had trying to groom this little wiggle monster myself, I think they did a pretty good job and that their work will improve with puppy's behavior. Bottom line, we'll be back again.
