On 06/10, I took my 11-year-old Great Pyrenees to another vet (beware of Utah Veterinary Hospital) because he was limping and had a swollen foot. I thought it might be something like a foxtail, but they barely looked at his foot and told me it was hip dysplasia and that his foot might just be swollen from laying on it. That I shouldn't worry about it. They told me to come back in about 10 days for X-rays and bloodwork and I scheduled a follow-up for 06/22. My dog just kept getting worse and by 06/17, he could barely walk. I called my other vet to see if they could get me in earlier and they said his pain was "to be expected". I decided to get a second opinion, and Country View was able to get me in within a couple hours. The difference was obvious right away. They actually took a good look at his foot and immediately said he likely had a fracture or an infected wound. They did X-rays with anesthesia, ran bloodwork, and found and treated an abscess in his foot. They cleaned and drained it, and sent us home with antibiotics and probiotics. They also took the time to show me the X-rays and explain what was going on with his hip dysplasia and what our treatment options are, which I really appreciated. On top of all that, it ended up costing less than what I had been quoted at the other vet for just X-rays under anesthesia and bloodwork. I'm really grateful for how quickly they acted and how thorough they were. It made a huge difference for my dog and just a day later he already seems so much better. I definitely recommend Country View Veterinary Hospital.

They were able to give meds right there with take home instructions and answered any questions I had. It was quick and staff was great. Very happy with my experience here. Mind you we've been paying over $1200 a year for YEARS with Banfield. They took our dog in, did all sorts of tests, and prescribed the basic ear infection medication that costs around $60. On top of that, we were charged ~$600 because our card had expired. We have since renewed and paid the lapsed months, but Banfield has refused to reimburse us for the charges incurred while our service lapsed and we were out of town. My guess is a local, independent vet would provide better service at a fraction of the cost. We've had our dog for 15 years now. I'm guessing we've spent $15-18K in annual fees for his care plan over the years. Please think twice before signing up for any plan with Banfield. You're just a number. It's not about care, it's about gouging the customer.

I was told this place is for emergencies only, so they couldn't accept an appointment. The phone receptionist said i can google any other vet clinic in the area (there isn't many past a 20 minute drive) open 9-5. She claimed urgent hospital providers like this one, usually open 24 hours (the website says 8:30-5) don't accept appointments, only walk ins. Which is very misleading since the website has a form to schedule your pet care appointment. The "request type" button on the "Request Services" form doesn't work either so you can't submit it. I felt like the person I spoke with on the phone did not care to provide accurate info a service for my pet.

They were able to get us in same day unlike other vets when we knew she had cancer. They also took us same day 3 weeks later when we said our goodbyes. The room was spacious. Although the carpet was really wet and we had to ask for an extra blanket to sit on so we could be with our dog during her last minutes. As I write this I'm tearing up inside remembering her last moments with our family. My husband paid to have her ashes boxed up and her paw print memorialized. It was done beautifully and personally hand delivered to our door by someone. That last touch of the hand delivery really made me appreciate this facility and while I hope not to have to use them again soon, I wouldn't hesitate.

I also bring her in to get her nails trimmed every two weeks. They do have small fees plus a clinic visiting fee of $5 which is nothing at all considering the fact there already fairly low. And they mainly continue running this establishment by donations given. So if you come here please donate. Anything helps.
