I have a timid, sometimes reactive and aggressive dog, who needed a lot of help with training. After an hour consultation with Makenzie, we decided to do three day & train sessions where my dog would go to their facility for a half day of training one on one with Makenzie, three at home 1:1 sessions in my dog's natural environment, and three hour long group classes. The amount that I learned in these 6 weeks was absolutely mind blowing. Training your dog is about practice and consistency, and speaking your dog's language, and Dogtown gave me the confidence and the knowledge to be able to train my dog on my own. The day & train opportunities were a wonderful way to start. Makenzie would train my dog 1:1 and then would send me videos about everything they worked on during their sessions. When I came to pick her up, Makenzie would show me what they worked on and how I could practice it at home. The training sessions in my own home were incredibly helpful as well. It gave me time to practice with my dog(s) in their natural environment and refreshers on what we had already learned, and building upon the skills she was learning. The group sessions were amazing for my dog, and any dog, to have an opportunity to practice in a new, overstimulating environment with other dogs that she doesn't know. Since she is apprehensive around other dogs, this was amazing practice for her. On top of everything else, the team is so friendly and kind, and the trainers are so knowledgable. I had the chance to take a group class with their trainer Maren and she was wonderful as well. Thank you to the team for teaching both me and my dog the skills to be better trained.

The process was smooth and professional, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the app and texts makes everything so easy to manage. I even got the cutest "Welcome to Camp" photo when my pup was accepted -- such a thoughtful touch! My dog has been having a great time at daycare, and it's given me real peace of mind knowing she's happy and well cared for. Now that she's also boarding overnight for the first time, I'm not the least bit worried -- I know she's in good hands. The ability to check in on her through the live cameras during the day is a total bonus, and the team goes above and beyond with their adorable enrichment activities (complete with photos of your pup enjoying them). We take all 3 of our dogs to this vet. We inquired about neutering our puppy and they scheduled an…read moreappt for bloodwork and exam. At the end of that appt they charged us $322 and told us it would be another $665 at the time of neuter. That is ridiculous they don't give a fee estimate up front. I was able to call Stone Ridge Veterinary clinic and they quoted MUCH less and they were able to quote an estimate BEFORE making me pay a dime. I realize the cost might change a little after they see him, but I doubt it will be over $900. They did allow us to cancel the bloodwork but we still had to pay $68 for an "exam" to be told the total neuter package would be over $900. Bad business and we told them we would be taking all our dogs to a different vet. They were indifferent.
