*i have never had my pets seen at this clinic,* However I scheduled an appointment with one of their sister-clinic through a lady who worked at the Perry clinic and WOW. This lady was the nicest lady I've ever spoken to (I think in my life.) and customer service was incredible. She answered my dozens of questions and got me scheduled quickly and without a hitch. I so wish I was taking my pets here because it felt as though this clinic treats their clientele like family and the kind lady who helped me seemed VERY knowledgeable. We take all 3 of our pups there for their veterinary care and have had nothing but positive experiences! Don't take your dog here. First off, they have my dog's breed wrong in their information. Second they are off on their pricing. They tell you one price and then it can as much as triple. The Vet also gave me incorrect information about ear cropping. He told me it does not affect the dog at all except for discomfort. That is incorrect, it also affects social behavior with other dogs and will damper hearing effectiveness. Lastly, and here is the kicker. They told me $18 for the rabies shot so I kept $40 from my check to pay. When I went to pay it jumped up to $63 dollars. I apologized and told them my wife will need to pay out of her check. I talked to them and said she got paid the day after so we would handle the $23 then and they threatened to file a police report. For $23. Furthermore they wanted to "warn" the other local vets about us. Because obviously we're the problem with society. WI get that this area is an uppity religious zealot area so beware if you're not a cookie cutter looking local because you WILL be treated like a criminal because why not if you're tattooed and don't have 3 times what you were told it would cost, you're likely a dirtbag. read more

I called the Canyon View Cares Vet Hospital and was greeted very kindly by their staff. I explained what I needed assistance with, and they quickly made an appointment for us. I love this place! I have had my dog for about a year and we have been to this place 3 times. They shampoo, blow dry,and brush my dog, and then my dog gets an exam, vaccines, and whatever preventative medications she needs. My visits have each been reasonably priced at around $200.00. I took my small dog in for shots and a nail trim. They cut his nails so short they were bleeding. I could hear him yelping from the other room. They wouldn't bring him back into me for almost an hour. And the vet even came into the exam room I was in without my dog!?!? When I asked him where my dog was he said they were running tests! Finally after a long time, they brought him back to me and said he was too stressed to get his shots, and they wanted him to wait for a little while in the room. More like he was completely Traumatized!!! And so was I once the vet tech came back into the room. She grabbed him by the skin on his back and tried to lift him up!!! I raised my voice at her and told her there was absolutely no reason to be so rough with him. Keep in mind he was wearing a holter and never should have been handled like that, There was absolutely no excuse!!! The girl tried telling me that when she had him in the other room that he tried to put teeth on her. Absolutely not!!! And I told her that, he is not a biter!!! As well I told her the only way I could see him biting was if he was hurt... Funny how silent she got! Once I got him home, I discovered he hardly had any nails... And blood on the bottom of his paws. This happened over two months ago and only now has his nails begun to grow. I called them and told them about this right after it happened... We love Dr. Akagi! We recently had our cat hit by a car and brought him in. The compassion and care Dr.Akagi showed made a very difficult situation easier. He has taken great care of our German Shepherd. I love that he just sits on the floor to examine and to play with him. He is so patient with our dog and of all of our questions. He truly seems to love animals and his job. We are so grateful he is our vet. read more

DO NOT BOARD YOUR PET HERE! HORRIBLE! Your pet will come out with wet blankets. They only take your pet out twice a day and leave them on soiled blankets. My Mom's dog began vomiting the day after she got him back. Now, just days later he is at the vet on an IV close to death. We still don't know if he is going to make it. My Mom gave them a courtesy call to let them know how sick he is suggest they clean the area he was in and see if any other dogs were sick. I had the worst experience a pet owner could ever have. I choose to kennel my dog here because there is a vet on staff. I left specific instructions of how to get a hold of me if either of my dogs were sick or had any problems while I was gone. While gone, I was not notified in any way. I picked up my dogs, and when paying, they said, "I need to check with the vet about something." Coming back I found out my dogs were completely sick. They had been puking and had diarrhea the entire time I was gone. One of my dogs lost a fourth of her weight and the other one lost a sixth of her weight. Coming back neither dog ate for over a week, I am in medical bills for them far more than it was to board them. Upon having medical examinations to solve this problem, it was found that she was hit serveral time in the eye and had trauma to her eye and I was still never notified. The vet did not tell me my dog had been hit in the eye and with a swollen eye very visible upon looking at my dog, I should have been notified. My dog would not even open her eye. Very unprofessional and very unhelpful when there was a problem. I would never recommend this clinic. read more

We took our dog for a grooming and the groomer took it upon herself to shave our dogs face, when we clearly asked for a shave down and trim around his face so he could see! Our poor dog looks horrible!!!! On top of that the shave is so uneven! read more

Canyon View Animal Health Center is an awesome, super well priced, full service animal hospital that really does cater to all of our small animal pet needs! We have two dogs and two cats, and have definitely visited our fair share of vet hospitals in the past few years...and I must say that Canyon View is the one we are sticking with while we are living in N. Utah! They offer insanely affordable vet services, ER services, boarding, grooming, sell food and supplies...it really is full service! There are two doctors here and they are both awesome. I've had the most experience with Dr. Ryan Henderson...he is the new vet at this hospital...and he is WONDERFUL to work with! Right when I came into the exam room with my new puppy, he played with her, gave her kisses, and the overall atmosphere was just loving, happy and so genuine! I've never seen my puppy so excited to get shots and a thermometer up her bum haha ;-) My other pup was recently in a car accident and had to have hip surgery. The doctors were very compassionate (I was a little upset you could say), the technician staff was helpful and informative, and I left feeling reassured as I left my poor little doggy in their hands. In the end, the surgery was a great success, my dog is walking on his leg, and the financial damages to my wallet weren't too severe! All I gotta say is that if you are on Yelp looking at reviews for top-notch veterinarians, you really don't need to look any farther. I'm the type of person that will drive out of my way for great service (it's a 15 minute drive, and there are several closer vets to me), and this is the vet I'm sticking with. I have always loved the Drs here. They always remember packer and know exactly what to do for him. They keep good information in his charts and know which groomers to put him with for best reactions on all sides. So grateful for the kind and informative staff. Called first thing this morning because I thought my dog was having seizures and was able to get an appt within an hour and a half!! Very thankful for that!! Dallas unfortunately is having a seizure problem. Dr. Akashi Spent a lot of time with us and listened to all my concerns and was great explaining possible causes and what I need to do at home from now on to treat his seizures. This is our first time at the Perry location, Layton is our usual place. The best part of all this, Dallas is a new patient and they still saw us urgently!! My kitty was the only established fur baby with the Layton Clinic. read more

Just took my two dogs here last Saturday on June 9th and 3 days later one of my dogs had kennel cough. I know it was from this place because he is never around any other dogs until he goes and gets groomed. After asking a few other pet owners of their experiences, some have also reportedly had kennel cough with their dogs and another one a bacterial infection. I have tried repeatedly calling them for 3 days to seek reparations for this outrage and nobody even bothers to pick up the phone. I had to give them a star because there isn't one lower than 0. I will never be coming back to this shotty piece of crap establishment ever again and I encourage any who are considering, to go another direction. read more

Best place around. Can be pricey but they are kind to our animals and take emergency calls seriously. Would recommend.
