My dog came home with a small open wound. I have no idea what happened as I kept trying to reach out y to the owner but she would not call me. The staff kept referring me to them but they never returned my calls. I don't know if it was a dog bite or she got snagged on something. The vet believes she was bitten. My dog got kennel cough in this establishment and I was called during work to come get her. They often call to say she is "nippy" towards other dogs but cannot provide me with a video showing it. My dog has attended My Pets Place in Highlands Ranch every day of the week for almost a year and a half with not even one problem. She was socialized well as a puppy and went through obedience training as well. It seems to me the staff does not have the skills necessary to do the job or the company does not train them to deal with issues, instead they give the dog a "time out". If you're looking for quality service I recommend My Pets Place in Highlands Ranch, they treat your dogs as if they are family. read more

my friend boarded her dog at this location per my recommendation. Her dog eats a prescription dog food due to digestive issues. After 8 days at Camp Bow Wow he returned home having lost weight and his food was returned with obviously more than should have been left over. immediately upon coming home the dog began vomiting and had diarrhea. Concenter about him having a blockage she took him to the vet. He had to have exploratory surgery and they later found out he had stones in his bladder (which could not have developed on the prescription food). He's having a second surgery for that this week. Perhaps the worst part has been Doggie Bow Wow's complete disregard of her questions and concerns, refusing to even return a call. I have friends who use CBW, and I have tried multiple times with two different and very friendly dogs at the SE location. I understand injuries happen at doggie daycare, and I expect them. However, when they do happen, I expect to be told the complete truth about injuries. Twice now, I have had them call to me to tell me my dogs have had small scratches or small individual puncture wounds- both times when picking up my dog, the injuries have been way worse and needed veterinary care. Being that it has happened twice now, I wonder what else they are not being honest about, and unfortunately, I will not be using this CBW location ever again. read more

I checked out several dog kennels before finding this place. It seemed to meet all the requirements I needed for boarding my baby. I had my dog kenneled for about a week here & supplied a specific food as he needed special dietary needs. Everything looked great, but when I returned I was told he did not want to eat & he looked emaciated. They did not call me or the emergency number that I supplied for him. Upon further inquiries they told me they had fed him their food & not what I supplied for him. He is now going to have to have surgery to remove the blockage that was caused by neglecting my specific dietary requirement I had given them before kenneling my precious boy. No refunds or apologies. Think twice before you choose this place! ps - They never comment on any of their negative reviews. In the past I gave a 5 star review, but unfortunately I need to change my review to a 2 star. The negative review is for the owner Michelle. I had an issue that came up that I wanted to provide feedback on and talk it through with her. When I called her for the first time and left a voicemail she completely neglected to call back. After two additional weeks I left another voicemail, but she still did not respond. I find it disheartening that an owner would not take pride in their business and respond at all to a consumer. Something to keep in mind- if an issue comes up with your dog, this owner most likely will not respond to you. Other than the owner, the staff and managers are terrific. They look like they enjoy their jobs and are friendly. My complaint is the set up by the owner. When the staff sits down they face 50% of the room, which neglects the other 50% of the space. Dogs are smart enough to do things behind people's backs. Whenever I watch the video my dog is often being humped by other dogs behind the staff's back. She does not like this behavior and tries to fend herself off from the dogs with the staff's backs facing her. If the set up changed so the staff could sit at the side of the room they could supervise 100% of the room. I attempted to provide this feedback to the owner in hopes for a change so that my dog could continue to attend, but with the negligence of the owner I now bring my dog to another location that monitors the entire room at all times, and I no longer have this issue. All the employees I've encountered are great and know him by name but I'm pretty sure my dog loves Paul who works there more than he loves me. My dog has been attending Camp Bow Wow for daycare 1-2 times per week for two months. I had a good experience in the beginning...until today. I usually don't view the camper cams, but viewed it today and I'm glad I did. There was 1 attendant with about 15 large dogs and I'm assuming the attendant was exhausted and had zero patience left. My dog went over to the attendant where there was another dog he had been playing with. My dog was near the dog and re-engaged play with a hyper dog the attendant was trying to settle down- the attendant GRABBED MY DOGS SNOUT AND SHOOK HIM causing his whole head to move back and forth quickly. Right after, she pushed my dog away twice. HITTING MY DOG OR ANY ANIMAL is not acceptable. I informed them right when it happened and got no response. I had to leave work in the middle of the day to pick up my dog so he would be safe. This is unacceptable and I will never be back to a camp bow wow. read more

Up until a day ago, I would have given them 4-5 star review, but after this past weekend and their response, more importantly, I won't be going back. My dog has stayed here many times and usually comes back with a scratch or two (he's a dog and plays... this is to be expected). He's also been going to dog parks since he was a puppy, so I'm familiar with his reactions to other dogs; it's to roll over and yelp a bit if he can't move. I don't mind any of this because like I said, he's a dog and that's what they do. I picked him up from CBW-Southeast on Monday after the long weekend. I was looking him over Tuesday night and found a puncture wound on the back of his thigh. When I called to speak with them about it, not once was there an apologetic tone. I understand these things happen and can happen quickly, but it seems strange not a single person noticed any bite/blood/limp. If someone saw it happen, a quick glance at my dog would have been appreciated and should have been noted to share with me. What upsets me most about the phone exchange is that not once did they apologize for letting it happen on their watch or just say they're sorry it happened in general. I understand they have policies that prohibit them from being able to do much about it, but when someone takes the time to report something like that I would have hoped for a more customer-driven service model, considering the amount of money I've paid them over the past year. My primary thoughts about this place: One sour apple ruins the customer experience, the place is dirty, and the dogs are under attended. First off, the whole place looks and smells dirty and they don't like to do tours (always a bad sign). Even the front lobby and the bathrooms were hairy and dirty. Ew! Second, I have never been treated so rudely by someone who works in "customer service" in my life. I work in customer service, so I know it's not always easy, but our treatment was abysmal! My husband and I took our pet to this place last year and dealt with a large man named Russ at the front desk. He was cold, abrasive, scolded us for having a prong collar on our large dog, and literally rolled his eyes and sighed at us when we asked a simple question. After our first stay, our dog came home very dirty, with some scratches and marks, and moped around the house for a few days, but we figured that was pretty normal. Every time we looked on the cameras though we could only see one person, or nobody, and sometimes there looked like there was a LOT of dogs. It made me uncomfortable that sometimes you could see 20-something dogs and only one person standing in a corner. Also, the dogs don't have anything to play on, or play with, and the staff don't interact very much with the dogs. Anyway, we recently wanted to visit another camp Bow Wow and called to see if we could have our records sent over. We were told that Russ doesn't like to do it so we wouldn't be able to have any of our information shared between locations?? When we asked why, we got no real answer, the manager just doesn't like to do it. The lady on the phone was very sweet and wanted to help us, but was unable to do anything because of her manager (Russ). We told her that he was very rude to us the last time we met him and she apologized for the experience. It's sad that the staff had to apologize for the behavior of the manager. Don't waste your time at this place! You can get a much nicer experience at another place. We have since been to several daycares where we have been very happy. read more

I love taking my dog to Camp Bow Wow. Out of the people I met at dog parks, around my neighborhoods and friends of friends, this place was highly recommended. I tried 3 other doggie day care places before going to Bow Wow off of Evans. This is actually my first Yelp posting only because I never loved a restaurant, service or place as much! I noticed that there are other Bow Wow reviews, this is for the one near 25 & Evans, but I've heard all are very similar. A few things I really love about Bow Wow ..... PERSONAL CONNECTION: The staff know me & my dog's name. They give an unsolicited run down of what my dog was up to, who he was playing with or why he is the dirtiest dog in the place. It makes me feel comfortable that they actually watch and get to know the dogs VIDEO: You have the ability to watch your dog play during the day. It makes me feel safe to know what my dog is doing MULTIPLE PENS: Initially, I took my dog to an outside day care thinking he would love being outside but my dog is wimp for weather, so I love that there are pens that go inside/outside. My dog is a huge (50lb) puppy and is growing quick. I like how Bow Wow has multiple size pens for small, medium and large dogs. Since mine is only a puppy, they tried him out in different pens to make sure he was around others his play style and size. I never really thought I would be the girl who takes her dog to doggie day care but it's such a relief to have my dog tired from a good day of fun and to know that he is not home chewing my shoes. Compared to other facilities, the price is reasonable. I'm on a tight budget and if you are too, I would recommend trying out the 1/2 day packages. A half day is good for 6 hours. So drop him off at lunch and you can pick him up at close. As for boarding ... The first time I went out of town, I left my dog with my boyfriend. Although I completely trust him, I really thought about my dog all weekend long! The next time we went out of town together, I boarded him at Bow Wow. They don't have someone there overnight, so I would only recommend it if you dog can play all day, then sleep for 8 hours and don't have any health issues. Even just a regular day at Bow Wow, my dog is so exhausted, he goes to sleep by 7pm and wakes up at 7am the next morning... so their boarding situation works out fine. The positive thing about boarding is that when you pay for overnight, your dog gets to play the day before, during and after with the other dogs. Definitely check out the facility. They do the 1st play day free (I think it's actually required) . You and your pup will love it! ... My only compliant is that there is not one closer to the ski mountains or have special hours if you want to drop your dog off before you head up skiing. read more

I have had my dog at CBW in two different location in NY. I dropped off a friends dog and was thrown at the difference in service a this location. The person was attentive to the people he "knew" and ignored me and the specifics of nuisances of the dog I was dropping off. My friend said they use this location a lot and the person loves their dog. This person was not familiar with the dog, but the fact he, the dog, recently was injured and very old and the staff ignored my information was very off-putting. Then on arrival multiple staff were sitting in a car out front and followed me into the main area.- so who was watching the dogs! I have recently had a really bad experience with the Jasmine street Camp Bow Wow. My dog was boarded there for several days. When we went to pick him up he had a sore leg that he limped around on for two days after he got home. When I called to ask them about it they were unapologetic, rude, and denied that he was limping. The staff was usually rude, a similar problem that other people who have posted have had. They never seemed happy to see my dog never gave us feedback about how he was doing. What can I say about Camp Bow Wow?!?! They are AMAZING! We relocated here in January and my dog has been a frequent guest at CBW since then. I am VERY particular about where my dog goes as he is my "child". I often have said that picking a day care is like picking a school. I love that I can feel safe with my baby there all day. Everyone is great and so personable. Even though there are web cams I still call in to check on my baby and everyone is still totally understanding and lets me know how he is doing. They are ALL amazing but Russ ("Uncle Russ" to my dog) is AMAZING!!! He is someone I would trust my child with. We are still new to this doggy campground, but after the first month of daycare and a couple overnight stays, I can't say enough about how much I appreciate them. They originally got my dog in on a same-day interview in a pinch when I had nowhere else to go. My puppy loves going there and she pretty much leaves plum worn out from all the fun. I know she's having a better time than in her kennel at home because we are hooked on watching the video feeds at work. There is an older gentleman that I've run into a couple times who is the closest thing I've come to having a negative experience, but I take him with a grain of salt because the rest of the staff working there is killer. The owner(I'm sorry I can't remember her name) calls my dog 'her dog' which is pretty cute. I can tell they are excited to see her and she get excited to be there. And as a new dog owner, I love talking to the staff on occasion about ideas on how to work with behaviors. They've been very diplomatic on how they approach me when I ask them for help...don't try to actually train my dog or tell me it has to be done a certain way. My puppy has been a daycare kid and camper at Camp Bow Wow for almost 3 years. He absolutely loves it! He knows when we are at the stop light and I can't get out of the car fast enough. He is extremely shy with strangers and his sole focus is always to get in the play yard with his friends. I love it because he can socialize, get exercise and I get a very tired puppy when I pick him up. The staff is always very professional and friendly to both me and my pup. Facilities are clean. DO NOT come here. My dog spent three nights here recently. He came home with his paws totally raw with open, oozing wounds. After taking him to the vet the next morning I find that the dog is severely dehydrated and was put on an iv. As for the staff, I included an edible chew toy for each night. My dog eats these in less than 30 minutes. All three were never taken out of the bag. The place reeks of urine. Good news is my vet is reporting them to the state. I was very nervous at first because that's my little boy but once I saw the excitement that the employees put into making the dogs enjoy it I was sold! I saw them walk in the yards with them and howl with them and rub their faces and butts! Shilo loves it and I love it! I can say the only negative thing is there's no specials, for example monthly specials or weekly specials. I have been using this location now for some months. But today is THE LAST DAY I WILL BE USING THIS BUSINESS. I went to pick up my dog today and witnessed total mayhem and leaving with my dog having been attacked in the attendants arms. Not only did my dog come out of that bitten with bite marks on her, and totally shaken to the core, the attendant received a bite that tore open her finger. This place has had major red flags for some time now. And I am through with my dog being totally a money maker for a business instead of a soul that needs proper care, attention and protection. I have ignored in the car shaking and pre visit jitters and apprehension from my dog the last few visits, chalking it up to separation anxiety. But what I witnessed today seems like a confirmation that she has been in a place that is not caring for the animals properly. To say that there is staff supervising inside the pens is a JOKE. Not to mention how totally understaffed they are compared to the amount of dogs here. And to think that they are allowing dogs to be there that are bullying and attacking other animals is a travesty. After witnessing my dog nearly jumped to her death out of the arms of the attendant to get away from the dog that was jumping and attacking her, I almost came undone. Seeing the attendant get injured and then no one in there to help if my dog was continuing to be attacked is a total liability and AWFUL. When my dog finally got released from the aggressive dog and came out the door to the front, I yelled at the front staff person that "that dog who was attacking and biting my dog and ripped open your attendants finger should be banned here." I am never coming back to this place and I wouldn't bring your dog here either. This is a business that cares about the bottom line of dollars and profits, not the welfare and sanity of your dog! read more

My dog has not been there since April of this year, it is now October I called to have her stay for 1 day of dog day care. I had a current copy of vaccinations but called to make sure everything was on the up and up, the woman I spoke to was very rude,she told me that since my dog had not been there since April that she would need to be re-interviewed, not a problem , dropped the dog off and picked her up that evening, the staff at that time had told me that she didn't know why my dog had to reinterview that everything was just fine, I was confused is my dog being re-interviewed or not? Do I pay or not? So the owner called me this morning telling me that his employees was confused and that I owed for the day care, and he wanted a credit card right then,I was at work didn't have a credit card on me told him I would call later to pay, he got very nasty with me. Not a very nice guy. Bottom line,rude employees,bad communication skills. DONT GO!!!!!!!! read more

Not to bore you with my personal perceptions, I'll try to make this as factual as possible. We frequent another Camp Bow Wow in the area and unfortunately, planned poorly on a holiday weekend. This location was the only other Camp Bow Wow with availability so we felt there were no other options. Prices are not reasonable - other CBW's in the area offer better multi-dog discounts and military discounts. 5 days/5 nights for 2 dogs cost us ~ $400. In addition, they require 50% pre-payment on holiday weekends and if you end up picking up early or dropping off later than originally expected, don't expect an adjustment. Experience with staff varies - older dude who took our dogs back when we checked in was very rude, had poor tone and to be honest, made me worried sick during my vacation about the safety of my dogs. The younger chick who has border collies of her own was amazing! You could really tell that she loves dogs and enjoys her dogs. If only she could influence the culture of the location and the other employees would learn from her example ... No linkage to other CBW's in the area - regardless of our good standing and regular business to another CBW in the area, they insisted on an interview with our pups. We had to go to the extent of having the owner of our regular CBW to call the owner at this location to bypass this absurd requirement. Having staff from our regular CBW call was not sufficient and I assume our regular owner said some strong words to get our pups accepted. Finally, dog supervision - Because of the rude and cold dude who checked us in, I frequently checked on the pups via the cameras. Out of the 5 days and multiple times checking on them daily, I only saw one person supervising the play areas with the dogs about half of the time. It seemed like they were short staffed daily as the dogs, both large and small were often unsupervised. As I have now seen this with my own eyes, the other reviews of their pups being harmed and the staff having no knowledge of an event occurring make sense. The staff has no recollection of a dispute between dogs because there was no staff present. Luckily my two dogs came back unharmed. I didn't have a good feeling leaving them at this place. I think in the future, I'd rather send them to a boarding facility where they only get 15 minutes of play a day. At least the staff would be caring and I know my dogs would be safe. read more

We used to come frequently until we were scolded by an employee for our dog still having her hunting e collar still on ( which she wears constantly and does not even notice). We then spoke to the owner to express our problem with how the situation was handled, she the preceded to make up a ridiculous story saying our dog was cowering in the corner until they removed the collar she wears on a regular basis. What terrible customer service. Not worth the money and if they have different opinions then you on how to train or make your dog happier be prepared to hear the opinions flow. My dog was attacked by another dog while she boarded last month and the staff did not contact me. I picked her up several days after the attack and was told by the afternoon manager that my dog's stay went well. I later noticed multiple gashes on her face that were starting to heal and multiple puncture wounds along her neck and shoulders that were also healing. I called and asked for an explanation and they told me she had been bitten by anther dog two days prior. The circumstances in which the attack happened were not made clear to me and they did not send me a copy of the video footage from the web cam. I attempted to set up a time with the owner, Michelle, to review the footage in person and she never followed up with me. Despite the fact that my dog was bleeding after the attack, they never reached out to me for my input on how to treat the wounds. I have no idea if the wounds were ever properly treated. I get that dog bites can happen but the way the staff handled this attack was unprofessional and it underscored the way they treat the dogs. My dog will not return to this location. read more

I booked a reservation at this location and took my dogs in to drop off before my trip . Large, extremely rude man at the front desk just kept repeating yea that's not how that works. Upon moving to Denver I was looking for a great daycare facility for my dog to burn off some energy while I am at work. Camp Bow Wow requires an interview and provides their first day of daycare free, so we decided to give them a shot. The facility is great and the woman at the front desk when I dropped him off was super friendly. However, upon picking him up I inquired how he did, who he played with/what was his favorite thing and the guy at the front desk responded "I'm not really sure, they usually just sit back and watch the first day." My dog has been to dog parks and daycare since he was a puppy, so this is completely unbelievable and uncharacteristic of my dog's personality. I realized once we got home that they also forgot to return my copy of the immunization records. For those reasons, we will probably not be back to Camp Bow Wow. read more

I have taken my two little dogs to daycare at Camp Bow Wow Denver SE for three years and so appreciate the care they receive. I am particularly grateful for how attentive they were to my littlest dog's health issues when she was suffering with some serious bowel issues a year ago. If she had any blood in her stool they would call me immediately, which allowed me to rush her to the vet and finally have her strange food allergies properly diagnosed. This is by far one of the best dog boarding and day care facilities I have ever come across. All the staff will genuinely care for your pet and treat them as their own. They have very cool web cams as well, so you can check on your furry friend while away. This was very useful when I was on a 10 day vacation. It gave me peace of mind. We knew everyone by name and they always greeted us with smiles...
