First, Dr. Chapline is the best therapist I've ever had. She uses techniques that find hidden reasons for problems and help your brain reprocess so that the problem is gone permanently. It doesn't matter if you have had the problem for years. People see her and stay with her because she really helps them. I've referred friends to her and at times have been told she didn't have any openings. She keeps a full practice. That can't be a horrible therapist who is rude.
I came on this write a review site to write a very positive review, but it seems only those with anger as emotional issues write reviews. What I want to do is defend her, instead.
People go to therapy because they have a problem or problems. Some have really horrible anger issues. It seems those are the people writing bad reviews.
Second, I'm incredulous at the complaint Dr. Chapline's appointment schedule is for some people 15 minutes late. I see on the reviews people complaining over and over again about waiting 15 minutes. Since when is it unusual to wait 15 minutes at a doctor's office? I've waited an hour for some doctors many times.
In Dr. Chapline's profession, someone has some sort of melt down probably every day. If that person is still distressed at the end of their appointment, Dr. Chapline will go past the appointment time as needed to stabilize that person. She doesn't just cut a distressed person off at sessions end if that person cannot leave in a safe emotional state. If she helps that person for an additional 15 minutes, that means that all later appointment that day will begin 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment time.
Some people complain that after waiting 10 minutes, Dr. Chapline ends that appointment right on time. Many people don't know that a psychotherapy hour is 50 minutes. That she ends right on time means that person got 50 minutes - a regular psychotherapy hour. She tends to give clients a full 60 minutes when she can. That means she writes the psychotherapy notes on her own time. Time she is not paid for. Not many therapists would do that. read more
