The pizza here is top tier. I have had several different, but the Margherita is delish with fresh mozzarella and basil. My go to is the pepperoni with extra cheese. Some quick searching led us to believe that this might be the only place in Put-in-Bay that delivers, so I will admit that's why we picked it. However, it was a great choice!! We got the hot honey pepperoni pizza and the pickle bred appetizer. The pizza was great - I always love hot honey to add a little something to the tried and true pepperoni. But the true winner here? THE PICKLE BREAD. Oh my god. I will talk about this to anyone who listens. I'm determined to try to recreate it. It's essentially pizza with ranch and pickles, but man - if you are a pickle fan, you're in for a treat. I will dream about it. I will come back to PIB just for this bread. 10/10! read more

Hot and fresh pizza when everything else is closed. This place seems to have gotten a bad wrap I placed my order by phone it was ready in 15 mins the person on the phone said 20. We purchased the medium Cameo supreme style. 8$ more than on the mainland but entirely acceptable because great location equals higher cost. If you choose to go to the island be prepared to pay more. It's common sense. You got million dollar yachts in the bay . We got ours in 20 minutes or so take out. One of the best pizza we've ever had HOT. COLD out of the fridge wasn't very good. We disposed of the left overs. Not every pizza tastes good cold. With that being said we would 100% buy again. Nothing fancy about the place. After reading the reviews I am not sure what to make of them. This place is on an island that caters to tourists.for at most 6 months. Having come to Put-in-Bay for 20 years there have been many pizza joints. This place is right up there with the best. Being a road warrior I have learned the crust and sauce is what is foundation of the pie. There sauce is great, not on the sweet side and dough is not a package prefabbed slice of bread. Great flavor from both. We had the large meat lovers. Great AWESOMENESS. The meat, sauce, and extra cheese was amazing. Staff was polite and service seemed quick I am sure when it is busy service may slack, butt really dealing with a bunch of drunks looking for a late meal. It all must be taken into consideration. I defiantly recommend this place. The price is just a wee bit more than main land. Then again everything is here is. read more

I ordered only an appetizer of fried pickles and waited 30 minutes. 6 other order numbers came up before mine. Wow. I am still dumbfounded on how I was treated. Stopped to get a piece of pizza on our way back to the hotel. I paid and the counter guy gets a slice from the warming rack and the piece had a big dough air bubble in it. I politely asked for a different piece and he said no. Wha? I asked to why can't I pick the piece I want? He said you get what you get, there's no picking. I asked for the manager who was probably a full year older than the counter guy. Took the family to get some AWESOME pizza at Cameo's in Put In Bay!! The atmosphere was fun and friendly!! James Lewis was our bartender/server, he jumped on our chaotic group of 18 with no problem!! He was friendly, funny, attentive, an awesome photographer(great candid pics James), and just all around a BAD A$$ DUDE!!! Our food was nice and hot, super fresh, and tasted amazing!! Cameo's is a chain in Ohio. They have the corner unit on the front of the Grand Islander Hotel. That place is hopping and people were constantly sitting out front at all hours chowing down on fresh made pies. The aroma wafting out of the front doors travels a good 50 feet at times if the wind is right. On the island, they've got a smart car for deliveries until 3 a.m.! And, as it is right downtown, this place is saving quite a few people from their hangovers the next morning by soaking up all that late night fun, I'm sure. read more

Delivery time was pretty accurate. They overcharged me based on the prices online it should have been $24 but charged me $28 (large pepperoni and sausage delivered). Taste- 2.5 out of 5. Definitely not the best pizza I've ever eaten but definitely not the worst, right in the middle. Probably pretty comparable to dominos in quality just much much more expensive. When I opened the pizza it was all shifted to one side, clearly jostled by delivery guys (2 guys delivered the pizza which I thought was odd). If this pizza place was in my hometown I would never order it but due to the lack of competition I may get it again because it is serviceable. read more

Put In Bay is the island and Cameo Pizza is the Oasis that saves your life after a long night of partying or hell, even when you're just hungry! Cameo Pizza is not only good Pizza, it's GREAT Pizza!! Over the course of my life I've eaten a lot of pizza and the formula these guys have created is a million dollar recipe. The crust is not too thin and not too thick and perfectly crisp. The sauce is just the right consistency and flavor and the cheese and pepperoni you can tell is of grade A quality. When you order a whole pizza rather than cut it in triangles like normal pizza, they cut the round pizza in small square pieces giving it it's own charming unique flare. If you buy it by the slice, it's traditionally cut and rightfully so since you want your slice to be bigger than 2 pizza rolls. The pizza is a bit pricey but what do you expect being on a secluded island. The slices are fairly priced though. We ate here multiple times on our visit and wether you are sober or completely trashed, it is delicious. Everyone's enthusiasm mirrored my own regarding this pizzas quality and flavor. I can't stress to you enough how good this pizza is. Even if I didn't live on the islands but I lived close by I'd catch a boat over every once in awhile just to have it. Cameo is a small Ohio pizza chain, and there's something about the plain pepperoni pizza that makes it so above and beyond almost any American-Italian pizza I've ever had. Is it the cheese? Is it the crust? (The crust isn't real thick, but it certainly isn't cracker thin. I really can't tell you.. but what I can tell you is it's totally awesome. First trip to Put-In-Bay, and Cameo Pizza, got the Chicken Ranch Pizza. Was pleasantly surprised! A little bit of a long wait, I believe 37 minutes from the time we ordered, but all the ingredients were hot and tasted fresh. Be prepared for a loud setting, as it is a Bar atmosphere if dining in. My wife and I enjoyed the music selection when we arrived as it was rock music from the 2000's and beyond, then at 10:00 PM the live band Bad Charlotte took the stage and also excelled. Be prepared to wait a little while, but it is worth the wait, and be prepared to be talking loudly to whoever you go with. read more

Yum. All I can say is that this pizza seems to be an island favorite, and for a reason! I first had Cameo's in their Port Clinton location when playing put put golf, and oh my was it delicious. I thought it was some mom and pop place that would probably follow the fate of so many of my other favorite places and disappear, never to be seen again. Well I was wrong, this place expanded across waters!!! ... Waters being Lake Erie, over to put-in-bay. The location on the island is small and can maybe fit one round table in it, but they also deliver and heck you can walk anywhere on the island to go eat. Their pizzas though are phenomenal .I don't know if it is even better since it is not around the Columbus area, but it is so good. You can order their plain, thin crust with peperoni or cheese, but they also have speciality pizzas including a spicy taco style. Everything is tasty, yummy, and not generic at all! Choosing a star rating was difficult. The food was good. The service wasn't horrible, but it certainly could have been improved- the cook was listening to really offensive music, and even when the cashier asked to turn it off, the cook refused. It was pretty offensive rap with llootsss of swearing. The pizza was also cut into strips instead of slices. I found this very annoying- would have preferred to be asked, as I know some people would like it. I'd go there again, but I probably call ahead rather than wait there... and I'd make sure they cut it like a pizza. read more

This is the Taco Bell of places to go late night. Cameo pizza is so delicious, everyone looks past the $20 charge per pie. I am not sure how late it is open, but it is open at 230am. READ YOUR RECEIPT!!! I didn't know the reputation of Put-In-Bay as a drunken sleazy party town when I went there during the day as a tourist looking at the history of the war of 1812. I found out later when I returned to the mainland, when I told friends that I had been there on a beautiful day. I guess that explains the only one negative, Cameo Pizza. The only places to eat were bars, so I went to the counter and asked if it was OK for my 9 year old nephew to be there. They said yes and we ordered (between the 5 of us) over $75 worth of food. Of course, kids being picky we ordered him 2 items from the child's menu, and 4 complete adult meals, like one would. Whilst waiting for our food, we looked over the receipt and found we were overcharged. I went back and explained the mistake and was met with such push back, it was ridiculous. I had to point out the child with us. 3 TIMES!!! I mean, come on. Open your eyes and ears. Also, when it is CLEARLY your mistake, be nice about it. I swear had I not insisted, they would not have refunded the $8 overcharge. I may be wrong, but I got the impression that they do this kind of stuff on the regular, so READ YOUR RECEIPT! Their adequate food was certainly not worth the extra money and made me really want to ask for the tip we left to be refunded as well. Shame on you guys. read more

Was greeted at the door by a pizza cop in a cutoff trying to look like Wesley Snipes. Was kind of funny to think why that was even needed but there's more, literally the officer was asking each person "What the $&@! do you want?" single file at the door trying to get a pie which by anyone's standards is not needed.
