The staff was exceptional. The office is beautiful and clean. I presented with a cracked tooth, which fortunately had had a root canal prior, so I was not in pain. I simply wanted the chip of tooth removed as it was loose and made it difficult to chew. My intent was to schedule an appointment to have a crown seated at soon (but later) date. They took x-rays relating the tooth in question and two other teeth, both of which had had implants done years earlier. When Dr. Woyciehowsky came in, it was immediately apparent that he was in a hurry. There was the minimal of verbal pleasantries, then a glance at my tooth, and the news that the tooth had chipped and was still attached to gum tissue. He told me that I would need to make an appointment for next steps as it was late in the day. I kindly reminded him that I had a 45 minute appointment and he said "It's late in the day; I can't keep the staff here". I repeated that the only reason I had come in was to have that bone chip tended to. He begrudgingly said he would take care of it. He was so rushed that it was unnerving. He was speaking quickly and his tone and maner were flip and glib. With concern about his overall demeanor, I ask about being numbed; there was nothing gentle about his touch. He said there wasn't time, and that by the time the lidocaine was administered, he would've already been able to remove the tooth chip. I asked him if he wouldn't mind putting some numbing gel on my gums. He said that numbing gel wouldn't make a difference. I worked in oral surgery for three years. Numbing gel (aka: Lidocaine and prilocaine periodontal gel) deadens the nerve endings in your gums. It takes literally seconds to work and would have provided his new patient with comfort. He declined my request. Dr. Woyciehowsky told me I would only feel some thing similar to the pinch you feel when you receive an injection in your gums. It took him a few turns/tugs to get the tooth chip detached from my gums. It was not painful, but it was uncomfortable, and it was a bit scary as I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. No one offered anything for the bleeding; and when I asked, they gave me a Kleenex. I asked for gauze as it was bleeding, quite a bit. When I initially scheduled with his practice, I had explained that I was looking for a new long-term dentist and that I wanted someone who was kind and compassionate. Dr. Woyciehowsky demonstarted neither of those traits. The 15 minutes he gave of his time left me both disappointed and at ground zero with regard to now having to find a new dentist. I am a friendly, positive and happy person. I treat people with dignity and respect, always try my best to do the right thing, and have simple, basic expectations of others. I rarely let things bother me, but found myself getting home (a 2-minute drive) still surprised by the outcome of my visit to Camas Dentistry, and writing a negative review. read more

Recently went in for my dental visit and cleaning at Camas Dentistry. The background story is I have always had difficult experiences at the dentist since I was a kid. Which made me procrastinate going. However, this place, this staff and this dentist changed my mind on all that!! The appointment scheduling was super easy with online new patient paperwork to complete via a reminder text. No more clunky clipboards and you can complete while on a break at work like I did! Once inside, the staff were super welcoming and friendly (like super chill and understanding that I totally came from work and had not brushed my teeth before arriving) - low key embarrassed to admit, but they were not phased at all. My teeth felt super clean afterwards and I left there looking forward to coming back!! This has never happened before! I didn't have that pre dental exam anxiety that I have had other places and before I forget, did I mention you can actually see your x-rays in front of you!!! no more behind the scenes talk with not even knowing what's going on! This place is also conveniently located by Costco! I'm bringing my whole family here! If you are behind on your cleaning you should schedule an appointment with them! Camas Dentistry is under new ownership. I'd been going to them for about four years and it was always a wonderful experience. This will be my first time under new ownership so we get to start from scratch. My philosophy is always benefit of the doubt. Here we go. The staff is pleasant and endearing. They greet you as you take a seat in the waiting room. NO MASK required anymore. Of course the dental staff wear masks. This is was a routine exam. We started with x-rays then went on to a routine cleaning. I don't love cleaning just because I have sensitive gums. I know...I need to floss more The hygiene tech was really nice and enjoys working here. They work four day weeks M-Th with a three day weekend. Good for them, if you have any weekend challenges not sure what the options will be. Did I mention I hate going to the dentist... Even the they use what look like instrumentation of torture, my hygienist was extremely gentle. She has such a calming personality. She works with precision and confidence. Literally, I felt like I was going to go to sleep . That's some pretty good work. Of course the dentist comes in and does his routine 5 min scan of everything and then give you the ok. I can say the spirit of Camas Dentistry lives on. See you next time. read more

I called this morning as a new patient on behalf of my monolingual Spanish speaking mother and the experience from beginning to end was nothing short of superb! My mother was needing to establish new care, with a new dental insurance plan, in a bilingual practice, for an urgent dental matter- SO MANY variables to consider- and the front staff was exceptionally kind, responsive, accommodating, and they were able to offer me an appointment within 15min of our communication! Unheard of! The care she received during her appointment was excellent and they were able to get her in for a next day follow up! I was referred to Camas Dentistry from a dental assistant friend of mine. While I live in Portland, Or. I work over on the east side of Vancouver, so having a dentist close to work made the most sense. When I called to schedule a new patient appointment, they asked what insurance provider I had. When I told them which insurance carrier I had, the tone and demeanor changed immediately. I was told they take my insurance, but they don't get reimbursed very well from my insurance provider. I may as well told them that I was destitute and had no intention of paying them. Needless to say, I will not be having my dental work done here. read more

The best experience I've had at the dentist in a long time. The front desk staff is so kind, informative, and helpful. The hygienists are skilled, thorough, and made me feel safe. Dr. Demian walked me through every step, showed me exactly what he was going to do, and I can't thank him enough. I first went in for a cleaning. I told them from the beginning that I have severe anxiety at the dentist. They made sure to let me know we could stop at any time and take a break. I knew going in that I had a couple cavities and they did not shame me for that at all, simply explained the options for filling them. They gave me choices and let me be part of the decision making team for my care. I have had one cleaning and a couple of fillings done now by the team at Camas Dentistry and i already have my 6 month cleaning scheduled for later this year. Friendly, professional service and attention as soon as I walk in the door. The front office support staff makes me feel right at home and I've never waited longer than 5 - 7 minutes to be seen. The waiting area - and the entire office - is comfortable, clean and bright. Used equipment is wiped down after each use. The Dental Assistants continue in the same friendly, professional manner, guide me to a clean and bright exam room and I always feel welcomed, that they are well-trained and that they work well together with Dr. W as an efficient team. This last visit, Mia was especially easy to talk too and she always kept me informed as to what to do and what would be happening next. Mia did a great job with taking an X-ray and with a bright-but-professional spirit, assessed my primary concerns - some which were a little vague but which she helped me to clarify through my end-of-day brain-fog. Dental Assistants in past visits have been excellent as well. This last visit, Dr. W was in to see me within 2 minutes after Mia left and had caught a potential problem on the X-Ray. He spent time explaining potential causes, answering some clarifying questions and guiding me on next steps. I've never gotten the impression at any time - this visit or others - that he is too busy/rushed or otherwise inconvenienced by these questions/concerns and, in fact, asks if I have any more which is above and beyond what many healthcare providers do. The behaviors today have been consistent with all of my past visits (5-7x) with Dr. W.. On my way out yesterday, there was a question about my insurance coverage for some billing from last October. I provided some additional information. The financial matter was brought up in a very easy-going manner and I really appreciated that the office staff person, Marcela, would look into it and let me know if there were any problems. Overall, from my perspective, Camas dentistry is a well-run team of professional, friendly and engaging health-care providers and I plan to continue to be a patient there for the long-term. Their location i.e.) proximity to nearby popular stores like Costco, Home Depot, Walmart, Lowe's, PetSmart, quality & fast-food restaurants and other Health Care services is a major plus as well. I relocated to Vancouver 2 years ago and found myself with a fractured tooth and no dentist late one afternoon. There are several dentists close to home so I started calling them one by one to see if I could get in that day for my emergency. The answer was no over and over again until I called Camas Dentistry. Marcela was very concerned and asked me if I could come in at the end of their day and that's what I did. Dr. Woyciehowsky (Dr. W) and his team worked into the evening to painstakingly remove all of the pieces of my shattered tooth and perform a bone graft in my jaw. Dr. W was great, calmly reassured me throughout the process, and I was extremely satisfied with him and his great team and will never forget how they stayed late to help me when no other local dentists would. A year later I have a new tooth (implant) and couldn't be happier with the outcome. I had my regular dental exam yesterday and had great service, as always, from Marcela and t5ge front office, hygienist Jordyn, and Dr. W. When I went for a cleaning, Cindy, my dental hygienist suggested I would benefit from a deep cleaning, and explained why. She did a phenomenal job. Cindy is a cheerful and super competent hygienist. She even massaged my TMJ and cheeks inbetween teeth cleaning sessions! Never had such a friendly and caring hygienist! This was my first appointment with Camas Dentistry and I was impressed with professionalism of the staff and facility. I went in for an examination and a cleaning. I was expecting to initially have my teeth cleaned by a hygienist and finally reviewed by the dentist. I was impressed that the dentist did the cleaning himself and gave me a thorough examination including the measurement of the pocket depths.
