TIPS FOR TJ TRAVEL: There are TWO Camacho MDs in TJ. Melo Daniel Camacho is not the bad one. He is AWESOME. https://www.cammelplasticsurgery.com/
Both husb and I been to bad TJ docs so we learned the difference the hard way. We both went to Melo for repair of very bad eye and nose work from another TJ doc and are extremely happy now. Melo is cautious, gifted, artistic, and endlessly caring. Here is proof of a safe doctor: (1) He has impeccable manners. Dont be fooled by mere friendliness. Get a zoom consultation and choose somebody who explains things thoroughly. Use a translation App to say precisely what you want done and comprehend what the doc is saying. Do not rely on his staff member for translation. (2) His clinic staff are full-time employees. Inferior docs hire day workers.) (3) He prefers seeing your results in person 2 wks later rather than zoom call to make sure both he and you are happy with close-up results. Bad ones never follow up. (4) He checks on you in recovery early next a.m. Bad ones send an assistant with no nursing degree. (5) Proper suture removal is done with numbing cream and medical grade wearable binoculars.) Bad ones have their assistant yank them out with no glasses and no numbing. (6) Don't fall for lowest pricing. Go for mid-level. (7) Assess sanitary conditions and MD certificates. (8) Distrust anyone who does not have lots of before & after photos. (9) Distrust any doc who has ZERO bad reviews. I'm an SEO expert. Fake review writing is a paid career. One or two bad reviews is realistic and is often a client who created their own bad experience, or can be a competitor's vengeful review. Zero or too few good reviews can sometimes merely mean a doc is not SEO-savvy and has not hired a review writer. (10) TJ docs can only issue Motrin 850. If needed, bring your own OTC pain med for when the anethesia wears off next day. Nearly all brightly lit, bilingual TJ Pharmacies are excellent. (12) Fast-lane border passage is CRITICAL. Some docs offer a free fast-pass driver, some dont. We always use Rafael at 52+664-120-0845 on What'sApp. Mornings are fastest - like 15 min. We park at the U.S. lot at the border where he picks us up. It is monitored 24/7, safer than public lots in SoCal. NEVER in 10 yrs had probs, and is next to a fantastic clothing mall if you need to kill time waiting. Zona Rio is nicest area. No crime, no homeless, no litter, sidewalks are spotless, with very high-tech hotels and malls. We love the Real Inn near Melo's high-tech office and Sabor a Mi for great meals cheap. DONT EVER FORGET YOUR PASSPORT to re-enter U.S. And only service dogs with proper paperwork are allowed to re-enter U.S. The Ibis hotel is the only hotel that allows small dogs. Hope this helps y'all. read more
