The calzones were phenomenal I had ordered through Uber eats so my only complaint is the amount sauce they give you. It's very minimal.

Okayyyy this place made SUCH a good first impression. They started us off with warm fresh bread and…read morebutter and honestly... that already had me sold. Nothing hits harder than fresh bread at the table. We ordered the calamari and it was chef's kiss. Super crispy, perfectly seasoned, not greasy at all, and the marinara tasted so fresh and homemade. Like the kind of appetizer you accidentally keep eating even when you swear you're saving room for your entrée. The Caesar salad was also so good -- perfectly dressed, fresh, crunchy, and balanced without being overly heavy. For my main, I got the Penne alla Vodka with added chicken and WOW. The sauce was rich, creamy, flavorful, and had that perfect comforting pasta energy. The chicken was juicy, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and every bite just hit. You know a pasta dish is good when the whole table goes silent for a minute. Everything tasted high quality and made with care, which honestly makes such a difference. Definitely one of those spots where you immediately start planning what you're ordering next time before you even leave. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu because if this was the first impression... I already know there are more hits waiting.

This half Italian can run rather brutal in Italian restaurant reviews. This is because my recently…read morelate Momma could humiliate almost every Italian restaurant in the Inland Empire. So I adjust out of fair play. This restaurant violated one of my strict restaurant rules, that applies to all cuisines: if you walk in and don't smell any food of any kind -- if the place smells like nothing -- turn and walk out immediately. But since YELP insisted this was a go, I stayed. TIP TO THE OWNER: if I were you, just before you open each night, I'd roast some garlic and hide it in the dining room -- maybe with a small fan on it. I'm not kidding. Okay, we were greeted by Sinatra in the air and Veronica, who gave us a gracious 'Italian' welcome. This is as much a part of the experience as anything. I've recently been to a new Italian spot that flubbed this. We were nudged towards risotto balls, which I'll be honest I've never managed to try but yum they both were. As was the marinara served with them, which is more of a delicate art than people understand. Some rolls came out and they were freshly made and delightful. They weren't doused in salt and so they needed that dash of provided soft whipped butter. So good I had one more roll than I wanted. Veronica made an excellent wine recommendation and off we were awaiting our entrees. We got there at opening and so we were seated in the bar/dining side. Ambiance was pretty okay but needed tweaking. I know tablecloths can scare off budget customers, but the room needed some warmth and that would have helped. Also bright setting sunlight was pouring in and I'd recommend lovely blinds for such occasions. The door at the bar leading into the back needs some paint. My vegetarian partner in crime got the eggplant parmesan, something both the menu and Veronica particularly recommended as a house specialty. It was good, but to this half Italian, not as special as it needs to be. Proper Egg Parm must absolutely melt in your mouth. If you must chew the eggplant at all, it's 'chewy' and not authentic. Look on YouTube, find an Italian -- do what you can to fix this. Trust me. My Chicken Piccata was good too, but not great. It was off somehow. To my tastebuds it wasn't creamy. If the owners PM me, I can tell you of two places within 40s minutes that do this plate properly. I enjoyed it, finished it, but I wouldn't order it again. Each of our plates came with two carrots, two pieces of broccoli, and two wedges of roasted potato. We could have had pasta but went with these sides. THEY WERE SHOCKINGLY GOOD. Not over cooked, not over seasoned, just perfect. It's an extremely odd experience to have a great wine, great appetizer, great bread, great sides -- but merely good entrees. This ate a star, sorry. We will return and try two other entrees. If they too disappoint, we likely won't return. But understand we want you to be great, because I strolled into Brio later and it was noisy cringe.

I had the BIEST PESTO and it was super flavorful. The ricotta drizzled with the spicy sauce was amazing. The broccolini was probably my favorite part. I even took leftovers home and they were still great the next day. I also tried the tiramisu and loved that it wasn't watery or overloaded with coffee flavor. It was served with strawberries and blueberries, which made it feel really fresh and balanced. I don't drink alcohol, so I ordered still water and appreciated that it came in a glass bottle instead of plastic. The servers were very kind and attentive, and the restaurant itself is open concept so you can see into the kitchen, which adds to the experience. The bathrooms also had a baby changing table, and the sinks are in a shared common area setup. Overall, 100% recommend giving this place a try...whether it's for a date night, business dinner, or just catching up with friends. Loved it.

Also, we were planning on going to Monaco's, but forgot it's Thursday...big deals on big pizza on Thursdays at Monaco's means big crowds. But it set our tastebuds into overdrive for savory Italian food. We should have guessed when we drove up and got a parking spot in front of an empty restaurant at 6 pm that it was going to be subpar, but we forged ahead anyway. We were greeting by a young man who kept referring to us, the two middle-aged women, as "you guys." Then asked if we had reservations...to an otherwise empty restaurant. The place was well decorated and light, though it was drafty and cold. And loud. Very loud for no one being there. The music, though a good playlist, was way too loud for such an echo chamber with nothing but hard surfaces to bounce off of. We weren't quite sure who our server was, but the young lady that took our order again referred to the two middle-aged women as "you guys." Ugh. Decent focaccia bread with dip arrived. It was OK, but cold. The food arrived in a decent timeframe, but the undercooked, starchy spaghetti was not quite warm enough. After asking three times for silverware, we finally got utensils, adding to the cooler temp of the food. So now that primary reason for a so-so review: The food was just OK. Not only was it not warm enough, but it was bland and lacked any presentation. Chicken Marsala had onions but no garlic, so it lacked depth. The Pomodoro was served with their standard marinara sauce, not pomodoro at all. Pomodoro should be a light and bright sauce with chunks of chrushed tomato, not bland marinara sauce that you would serve a seven year-old. The orchiete pasta were also undercooked...not quite al dente, not quite cooked. Lastly, there was some sort of photographer there. Part of the reason our food was cold is because he had to take multiple photos or our food from multiple angles. I could see the steam rising from it when it was being photographed, but the heat was dissipated by the time it arrived on our table. Without silverware. Then I noticed the photographer taking short videos while we were eating and we were part of the background. I prefer not to be photographed, especially by strangers. So this felt intrusive. Biest has potential, but it has a long way to go. Three things could help: 1. Train the staff not to refer to guests as "you guys." 2. Work on the preparation and presentation of the food. 3. Decrease the volume of the music. All it does is make people have to talk louder which adds to the cacophony. Oh, and don't make it look like you're photographing guests without their consent

We went here for mother's day. It was my first time here. It is definitely a pricier establishment…read moreso I was looking forward to finally trying it out. We sat outside and the ambiance (both inside and outside) were nice. The outside was definitely a lot quieter than inside, and the server next to us even offered to turn on the heaters (though not needed). I enjoyed being outside. We started off with appetizers which included grilled octopus and oysters. Although, even though they were on ice, the oysters weren't cold enough for me. Still, we downed them with the fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce and just prayed about it later lol. My family liked the grill octopus. It was tender and had a very smokey char flavor but if I'm being honest, it was not MY favorite so I probably would not personally order again. Even my mom said she thought it was "just alright." I ordered the Branzino and it lacked in flavor. I was not a fan of the green sauce it had on the side. It was not completely terrible, but not great either. It was cooked well and crispy, but that's all I can say for it as even Tabasco didn't make it great. The best thing of the night was probably the lamb chops and the cheese ravioli. They were both cooked well & tasted great so if I were to come back Id stick to pasta and that. The lychee mocktails & their ricotta cheesecake were probably my favorite things on the menu. The tart was decent. Our waiter was slow at times and kept either forgetting certain drinks or what we asked of him or the kitchen was just slower than usual. I'm not sure which, but service wasn't on par with the price point in my opinion. Luckily we were pretty relaxed, but my mom had finished her food by the time her wine arrived. Overall, it was an ok night. My family at least had fun and enjoyed their time there. The food was presented nicely, and service was OK as a whole but I'm not sure I'd come back on my own accord again. Definitely nice to say I've visited & tried it out at least once though!

I went for dinner on Wednesday so the restaurant wasn't packed. As soon as you walk in you get git with that Italian restaurant smell (idk how else to describe it) so I was hopeful that it would be good. The restaurant is dimly lit so it creates an intimate atmosphere. Very cozy. Our server was friendly and helped me choose between two dishes I wanted. We started with bread service which includes a few different styles of bread along with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For my entree I went with the clam linguine. It comes with chopped clams, garlic in a white wine sauce and also has a few whole clams in shell. It was so good. It was very "seafoody" which was just what I was craving. I also got to taste the carbonara, which was also very tasty. It had plenty of pancetta and the sauce was rich. Overall a good experience.
