I had made reservations about a month prior requesting to sit on the second floor overlooking the restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted normally. Hostess walked us upstairs but sat us away from the tables over looking the restaurant. She said those were already reserved. So I asked if she could just sit us downstairs. ** i just want to preference while it wasn't a big deal, the tables were empty the entire time we were there. (Picture attached) We were seated at the corner of the restaurant near the front door. Again not a deal breaker but it could have been a better table. Once seated we were greeted by our amazing server Jessica. I cannot stress how wonderful she was, from beginning to end. She was so attentive and super sweet. She opened a bottle of wine that we had brought with us to celebrate. (Crock fee was $25, fyi). She even offered to pour our wine into a decanter. We started off with some appetizers, the crab cakes and skirt steak satay. OMG these two items were just absolutely delicious. So much flavor! For our entrees I ordered the chicken parmigiana with Alfredo and my husband ordered the Linguine Frutti Di Mare. Again, the food was absolutely amazing. We definitely will be coming back. If you are planning on coming to Napa I highly recommend Allegria and making reservations.

We were there on a Tuesday night and they were very busy. So glad we made reservations! Our host and server were both very pleasant and accommodating. Nice ambiance, classy, but a bit noisy. Started with a Napa Cabernet, which was good. The complementary bread was fresh and the garlic dipping sauce was good, although we prefer basaltic and oil. We generally split or do a half salad and then split an entree. We started with a split insalata di arugula which reminds us of a salad at our favorite restaurant in Eugene. Pears, walnuts and bleu cheese with arugula. It was excellent and gave us hope for the main course. Our main was penne con pollo, which they split for us (no split charge). It had a wonderful chipotle basil sauce that included sweet corn and sun-dried tomatoes. It was wonderful. So glad we went!

Luckily, we had parked downtown and we walked around and stumbled across Scala Osteria. We were greeted by the host at the front, unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation in advance, we would not able to get a table or booth for dining. The only option available was dining at the bar so we chose to dine at the bar. After being seated, we were given menus and water; we chose to dine family style and ordered a few entrees to share. The oysters were very good, the best that I've had, one of my favorites. The side order of fries were fresh and crispy and pairs well with the ketchup and cheese sauce, so delicious. The entrees: the halibut (very soft and delicious), the spaghetti with shrimp and clams (big portion and very delicious and fulfilling), and lastly, the lasagna (the meat was very dry, but the lasagna tasted very cheesy. Unfortunately, the lasagna was my least favorite). Overall, the ambiance is very cozy and inviting. I did enjoy my meal with the exception of the lasagna; I would be open to dining here again in the future and trying something new and also trying desert next time. Scala Osteria is a lovely gem in Napa; would definitely recommend to others!

There's an open kitchen with a lot of space but still has a mixture of upscale and casual interior vibes. This restaurant was one of the only places I found in the area to have reservations for a party of 10 online without needing to call or do a pre-fixe menu. We got here right at our reservation time and were seated at a long table. What I liked were the tagliarini bolognese al centro ($32) and the wagyu polpette ($25). The calamari ($25) was decent and the patatine fritte e tartufo ($16) had big portions but could've used a little salt. The carbonara ($30) was cooked al dente and while we took the suggestion from the server we would've preferred a bit softer. It was a solid and reliable dinner spot that is good for celebratory meals.

The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. I shared the Calamari Fritti with my wife. It was crispy and cooked well, but the flavor was just average. I'd give it a 3/5. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the standout of the meal. The Brasato di Manzo (braised short rib) was excellent and was the days special. It was fork-tender, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The presentation was beautiful, and the broccolini was a great side that balanced the richness of the dish. Overall, we had a really good experience and enjoyed celebrating a special occasion here. I'd definitely come back, and I'd absolutely order the Brasato di Manzo again.

We were promptly seated and served water. They offer a pretty comprehensive menu. We decided to order their Margherita pizza (along with a serving of their garlic bread) adding pepperoni, mushrooms and olives to 1/2 of it. Of course I ordered an Italian beer to go with it. The pizza was delicious and I mean delicious! There were leaves of fresh basil on the pizza. The basil wasn't baked with the pizza so it was the freshness which really set it off. The garlic bread was tasty as well using mozzarella on it. Our server, Teresa, was a jewel and right on top of things, along with another girl who I didn't get her name. All in all a very nice experience. We will return and try some of the other dishes that looked so good.

This farm-to-table Italian restaurant truly impressed me with the quality of its food, drinks, and overall dining experience. It definitely has old world Italian charm with wine bottles hanging from the ceiling and dimly lit decor. We were there for a late afternoon lunch. I ordered an 8" combo pizza and my wife had the soup and salad lunch special. The salad (Caesar) was fresh with just the right amount of dressing and fresh grated parmigiana. Delicious without being drowned. The soup was hearty and well seasoned. My wife loved it so much we ordered a quart to go. That is saying a lot as she is not a huge fan of Italian cuisine. Now, I am kind of a pizza snob so, my expectations weren't that high. Wow! Was I wrong! The crust was crisp with a soft center. The sauce was perfect, not too much or too little, just right. It was a delicious pie. The perfect ratio between toppings, sauce and a crust that doesn't flop. Service was fast and friendly. If you are in Napa and looking for a really good meal that won't max out your credit card, this is the place. Oxbow is a neat place to visit, but the prices are in my opinion, extremely high. Try this place for reasonable, affordable and delicious Italian food.

We've been here several times over the years and have always enjoyed the consistently excellent Italian cuisine and outstanding pizzas. They have more than 20 varieties of house-made salumi and fresh handmade pasta . And whenever you see a blazing brick pizza oven, it's usually a good sign that pizza will be on our table. My go-to pizza is the Funghi, topped with crema, Manchego cheese, cremini mushrooms, caramelized onions, and parsley. The crust is beautifully blistered and crisp, yet still has a wonderful toothsome, chewy texture. Another favorite is the Fidei all'Arrabbiata, featuring San Marzano tomatoes, onion, chili, and pangrattato. This classic Roman pasta dish is tossed in a fiery "angry" tomato sauce, earning its name from the kick of fresh or dried red chilies infused in olive oil. Simple, bold, and packed with flavor. The portion is generous enough for two. We'll definitely be back! Happy eating!! 49
