Same salad, bread and butter, etc. The red sauce tasted like Inky's and the eggplant was prepared the same way. It was quite good. My dining partner had the chicken alfredo. He loved it, so another big plus! The pasta portion was very generous for a lunch portion too. The waitress was super friendly, and the food arrived very quickly. The only "quibble" was none of our dirty dishes were removed during the meal, so the table was kind of full by the end. The restroom was clean, as was the rest of the place. It's in a really convenient spot and I'd definitely go back.

It wasn't horrible but it also wasn't amazing. I got the chicken parmesan on top of alfredo. My eating companion got the catch of the day, which was mahi-mahi with smashed potatoes with asparagus. Our service wasn't great. Our waiter seemed to be off. Not sure if he was just having a bad day or what but I do feel like if affected the quality of our service. We also got the homemade Italian sausage as a appetizer and it was loveely. the flavor was great and the sauce was outstanding. the chicken marsala is amazing, and the asiago whipped potatoes are phenomenal. 5.0 Service, 4.25 Food…read more My sister-in-law/friend treated me to dinner here tonight for my birthday. The ambiance is exactly as I remembered- Italian casual but quaint and comfortable. We were seated in a booth that allowed for private conversations. Our server was Frank and he was top notch! He consistently checked in with us in a very nice, helpful way. He shared that he also had experience working in the kitchen and tried most of the entrees, so it was great that he could offer that perspective when questioned about the menu choices. My friend ordered the Shrimp Al Forno with a chopped salad and I ordered the Seasonal Salmon with green beans and the smashed potatoes. Both entrees looked and tasted delicious. My friend's order was a huge portion of shrimp combined with pasta, mushrooms and cheese in a light cream-tomato sauce. She said it tasted lighter than it initially appeared and gave it the highest rating of 5 stars. My salmon was a generous portion with a slight bit of a cream dill sauce on top. The green beans and smashed potatoes provided the perfect delicious sides for the salmon. My first bite of the salmon had a slightly fishy taste but the combined green beans and potatoes balanced it out. I had recently eaten salmon at a restaurant in Toledo, OH where the salmon spoiled me, but this dish was also delicious (explaining a slight deduction of stars). Frank was fabulous in every way and we had a very enjoyable experience. The prices also seemed appropriate for the entrees. I should note that there are daily specials. Today was house wine for $4.50/glass. I ordered the Chardonnay but quickly exchanged it for a non Happy Hour upgraded wine and Frank very promptly remedied the situation and checked in to make sure I was satisfied-which I was. If you're in the Lambertville/Bedford area, it's a nice local option to have within a comfortable ambiance. Also, we both took home leftovers! Definitely recommend! Check out pictures! P.S. This restaurant only provides a complimentary birthday dessert if you dine on your exact birthday. I didn't really care, but my SIL asked, so it's worth noting. In contrast, some restaurants will give you a birthday dessert even if not celebrating on the exact day. While I didn't want dessert, it struck me as a missed opportunity on the restaurant's part.

For dinner I had a mixed green salad and chicken parm. The salad was outstanding, as was the chicken. The parm was a bit sparse. Whereas the chicken was pounded thin and very crisp and delicious, the red sauce was plentiful, but lacked a lot of flavor. There was a side of fresh baked bread which was also very good.

I especially loved the speakeasy feel with the old chandeliers and wallpaper; it gives the restaurant such a unique charm and made the whole experience feel special. 3.25 I've dined at this restaurant many times over the years…read more- the last time was over a year ago. I still find the retro historic ambiance charming- with its over-the-top velvet wallpaper, ornate chandeliers, and white tablecloths on each table. I don't believe any decor changes have been made over the decades. It's part of the restaurant's signature charm and I love it. It was a rather hot and humid day in Michigan and I immediately noticed that the AC wasn't keeping up with the heat. Still, it wasn't overly uncomfortable. Even with a 6pm reservation, the restaurant was very crowded, so I attributed the heat to the crowd and some of the sizzling plates, in addition to lack of adequate AC. . Our server greeted us promptly and told us about the specials of the night. She took our drink orders and came back to take our food orders. My friend ordered filet mignon with a baked potato, with a beef vegetable soup. I ordered the Halibut Special, broiled in butter with shiitake mushrooms and a baked potato plus a side of steamed asparagus to share. While awaiting our orders, we were served exactly two pieces of bread ("dirty bread"?!) and a basket of bread or pretzel sticks. The bread wasn't even warm and I didn't eat it further after one bite. That was okay because I was saving myself for the entree'. When our entrees arrived, they looked appetizing. Upon taking a bite of my Halibut, however,I was underwhelmed. It wasn't horrible in any way but didn't impress me as anything amazing or crave-worthy. The asparagus, imo, should have had the stalks cut down further to cut off the yellow parts of the bottoms. It was a decent sized portion though. My friend's filet mignon was "good" according to her, though no further enthusiasm. It was a pleasant enough dinner though it was rather loud and difficult to converse at times. Our server was polite, pleasant and efficient. Upon being served the check, (I was treating for my friend's birthday), I glanced at it but didn't study it. Later, I was surprised to see a petty surcharge of .50 each for sour cream for the two baked potatoes that were included in the entrees. There was also an upcharge I didn't recognize for some type of cheese? I just don't like being nickled and dimed, so it irritated me. I left the restaurant thinking that I wouldn't hurry back and that I would order a pasta dish. However, it's definitely worth checking out for the experience if you haven't tried this spot. It's very close to Toledo and there's plenty of free parking. Check out pics below!

The ambiance is the usual with a large parking lot, a check-in desk upon arrival. Every staff member was extremely friendly. The establishment seemed clean and inviting. Our food was well received by most of our group. Service by Joseph could not have been better! He checked in with us appropriately with updates on the status of our meals. He had a very chill personality while also being responsive to our needs. The food is typically reliable for Olive Garden- generally solid but not a 5 star experience. Then again, the value was appropriate for the price. I'll post pics of some of our lunch meals. Definitely recommend for a reliable solid dining experience.

He looked very young, but he was obviously old enough to bring drinks. The food was mediocre and that's being generous, the drinks were nothing special, and the value just wasn't there. This was my birthday dinner and to be honest we were trying to go somewhere else, but they weren't open on a Monday. We came to J Alexander's, again not my first choice but a steak is a steak, right? Wrong. My sister-in-law ordered steak medallions, and they literally look like hamburgers. They were thin, slightly overcooked, underseasoned, and the overall cut just did not look good. My husband got a ribeye and again the sear on it was poor. The steak had a grayish cast to it. Not exactly appetizing! I ended up ordering the ribs, they come with a plum barbecue sauce and it was a generous portion but again they were nothing special. I got it with a baked potato. That was a bit dry and a bit hard. I think I brought home about 75% of my meal. We did get a very good appetizer. It was a raw tuna mince served on a crispy rice croquette. I got a gin and tonic that was not even really drinkable. They served it in a giant glass, the size you would get a soft drink in and it was almost entirely tonic. Way to ruin a nice shot of Hendricks. My sister-in-law had an espresso martini, and I don't think they use real espresso- but I could be wrong. M all four of us had something different and none of us had a good meal. If you are charging $50 for a stake medallion supper, the medallions should not look like hockey puck hamburgers. The atmosphere is beautiful, we waited a bit to be seated despite calling ahead of being told we didn't need a reservation or to be put on a waitlist. The bartender was slow and obviously inexperienced, but again both of these stars are really for our server. I got a free piece of carrot cake because it was my birthday meal and that was not good either. It came out and it tasted like it was still half frozen. I don't think I'll be back here anytime soon. It put a damper on my birthday a bit.

2/5 Zia's has a fun,…read moreold school Italian atmosphere with lots of character, and the waterfront setting and views are definitely a highlight. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience didn't live up to the atmosphere. Service started off well but became increasingly slow and disjointed throughout the meal. There appeared to be plenty of staff, yet several things had to be requested more than once. We also weren't offered dessert or coffee and had to ask. When coffee eventually arrived, it was barely warm. The food was very hit or miss. The side salad with white balsamic dressing was delicious, and the olive tapenade was good, although the bread was surprisingly dry. The vodka sauce had great flavor but was extremely oily. We appreciated that the pasta is made in house, but unfortunately several pasta dishes were noticeably overcooked. Some of the chicken was dry and underseasoned, and the red sauce had a somewhat processed or jarred flavor. The pizza was decent but nothing particularly memorable. There were also some issues with special requests not being followed, and rather than correcting one of the meals, a discount was offered instead. Overall, several people at the table were disappointed with their food. The restaurant has a great location, unique decor and some genuinely good flavors, but the inconsistent food and service overshadowed the positives during our visit. Hopefully it was just an off night, but based on this experience, we would not return.
