This is strictly based on a carryout order. There's nothing fancy about this place but if you're looking for a divey casual place, that's the vibe here. The pizza was ready on time and service was friendly. No need to order extra cheese on this pizza; it's super cheesy with a regular order. We ordered an XL pizza with mushrooms and the mushrooms had a delicious flavor to them. They might have been sauteed before baking the pizza but can tell you that it was an amazing pizza. This isn't a chain pizzeria so I don't think they offer coupons or discount codes. An XL pizza with mushrooms was around $20 before tip (and you don't have to tip but I like to because I appreciate servers even though people complain about tipping culture). Considering the quality of the pizza, I think it's a bargain. It's the best pizza in the area in my opinion. Check it out! read more

Went here for a birthday. First, let me say that the bar side is really cool. I like how they have the upstairs area. I think this would be a great place for some drinks and cheap eats. However, we sat in the side room where it was dead quiet. No music. No tv noise. The server was clearly on something. Every drink order she seemed confused. Now, I can't fault a place that only charges $6 for bulleit bourbon, but I asked for a bulleit and water and my drink was clear. Not the end of the world. I switched to beer. The stacked ham and cheese sandwich I ordered was good. The fries were good. The onion rings were good. I asked for an itemized copy of the check after giving her my card only because I wanted to double check my total since she seemed "off", and was told that they keep them and I couldn't have it. After she asked another employee, she came back to explain I could have it. Then she came back a few minutes later and apparently needed the handwritten part. It was just a weird experience. I bought gift cards through a local "sweet deal". We are about 20 minutes from Village Pizzeria in Toledo and never knew about it, until we had these gift cards to use. Just updating my review.... the pizza is still pretty good. The display of the toppings is awesome; it's just a beautiful looking pizza. As far as taste, it taste very good but there are places around that are a little bit better. One other thing ...they now have Wi-Fi for the customers and it works really good... because this is still a Sprint Dead Zone 》》》 Zero Bars outdoors and a big fat red X in the building. We tried the fried mushrooms this time and they were very good. This is a friendly neighborhood bar with great atmosphere + nice employees. And we watched Smithers and Rutter as musical guest . The customer service on the phone was kind and courteous, and the pizza was delicious! Why only 1 star? Oh well, for starters, we're in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, and who's not wearing masks? Every. Single. Employee. in this establishment. I don't care that we live in a small town. Take responsibility and act in the best interest of your community. This is poor judgement at a managerial/ownership level, and though I'm guessing this establishment won't care, they've certainly lost my business. read more

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet since joining Yelp. I grew up (in my teens) less than a mile from this place, and have eaten here hundreds of times over the last 30+ years. It's definitely the best pizza in the area, and one of the best three pizzas I've had in my travels near and far. The place is divey, not much of an atmosphere in the dining room, the bar is a typical bar, but the pizza is outstanding. No matter what toppings you get, the pizza is tastes fantastic. Friends and family I've went with have told me the hamburgers and some other items are average at best. It won't stop me from enjoying the pizza here, I mean why would I eat anything other than the pizza here anyway? Pizza is 5 stars, service is 3-4 stars (they focus mostly on the bar, not the dining room) and atmosphere is 3 stars at best. Other menu items are 3-4 stars. I give them the bump from 3 to 4 stars because the pizza is so orgasmic, but other factors would make this a 3 star place if not for the pizza. read more

Went to Village Pizzeria tonight, and I am a fan of the place. The place feels local with more american country music and football on the tv. It is clean, and the staff is friendly. With respect to the food, I definitely recommend the whipcream shots, pizza, and beer! The whipcream shots caught me by surprise since they were pretty strong... but hell... I'm on vacation. The pizza tasted like a better "pizza pizza" from Canada (for those who don't know, it is decent in a bind). All in all I am a fan and would be willing to go there again and relax. Saturday nights they have Karaoke (but was all country and thats not me). read more

We discovered the Village Pizzeria and Pub inTemperance, Michigan from small ad we saw on a card in a coffee shop. We like to try small town places, so off we went. We were joined by my sister in law and her husband. We went in the late afternoon on a Saturday, so it was not busy at the time. The server was friendly and she brought our menus and took our drink order right away. First, we ordered a fun appetizer sampler (onion rings, fried pickles and zucchini sticks). Next, we decided to get the extra large pizza. We chose pepperoni, bacon and extra cheese. All I can say is... "wow!" The Village Pizzeria has taken over as my favorite pizza place! You go to the Village for Pizza, Mushrooms and Beer. You don't come here or the atmosphere. If you reviewed the pizza and didn't like it, your taste buds are DEAD...LOL. Dang good food, a little more money, but WORTH IT. I think it is better than Gino's and Marco's. This is not generic, out of the can, frozen dough pizza. It's pizza for adults!!!
