Ell Bern Service, to get a headlight bulb changed, they told me my brakes needed to be replaced and that it would cost around $450 for the rear brakes plus another $250 for a rear caliper that needed to be replaced. I decided to wait since my Fiance and I were buying a home in Winthrop and we were cash strapped. This week I called Christopher's and spoke to the proprietor, who quoted me significantly less than what Ell Bern had quoted me for the rear brakes and the caliper replacement. I said great, go head and do the work, and perform an oil change while you're at it. Expecting a $500+ bill, I arrive and Christopher charged me $35, just for the oil change. He said he inspected my brakes and I had just under 50% pads left, which did not need to be replaced. He also said my caliper was fine and did not need to be replaced. In addition, he tighted a shield under my car that had been rattling and driving me crazy. I absolutely could not believe it -- this guy had the go-ahead to perform hundreds of dollars worth of service and I would have never known that I didn't need it. He chose to be honest and tell me the truth. He didn't even charge me for the time it took them to put my car on the lift, remove the wheels, inspect my brakes, and tighten the loose metal piece. If you ask me, he didn't charge me enough for the work he did. Honesty and integrity are qualities I truly admire in people. This guy will forever get our business and I highly recommend their service. Thank you Christopher.

Friends of mine who are from Winthrop suggested that I go to Expert Auto, so I tried them out when I needed a state inspection and again when I needed a tire replaced. They have been fair with pricing, (like I was actually shocked that I didn't have to haggle or question the price they were giving me) and have been great at communicating what my car needs. When I have brought it in to see what is causing an issue, they repair what is necessary and don't go overboard just trying to make more money. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when speaking to them on the phone. I have been dropping my car off with a key outside of business hours and picking it up after hours since I work M-F 9-5. I always receive a call with updates and a price estimate the next day and can usually pick up my car the day after that. I trust Expert Auto to do a great job with repairs, at a reasonable price and will continue to use them as my mechanic and suggest them to friends in the area!
