Frank's is the best! Although the original Frank is no longer with us, rest in peace brother, his tradition of honesty and consistent reliability remain in full force. Before I found Frank's years ago, State Inspection time was always a source of 'wonder'...wondering if the inspection was going to go like " Hey sir, I see one of your license plate screws is loose....I can fix it for $25 and you can be on your way". This does not happen at Frank's. Men, women, republicans, EVERYONE is treated with fairness and respect. They perform the necessary inspection points and never try to sell you on anything you dont need to pass. To the people at Frank's THANK YOU for being there and treating us fairly and professionally. Y'all remain the best! read more

I brought my car there because I needed my struts replaced and brake work. I had them give me a quote for all 4 struts, I went with the quote and had money left over in the budget for brake work as well so I had them do it... come to find out after, they acted like I never mentioned anything about the rear when I explicitly told them I wanted ALL 4 STRUTS DONE. They shifted all blame to the customer, they said they would make it right with a discounted price on the rears, I should have known after this first experience that this shop was not good but against better judgement I had them do the rear struts which also came out horrible im out thousands and my car drives just as bad as before I brought it to them. the icing on the cake is the careless person who put the old suspension in my trunk threw it on top of my engine cover and it snapped the corner, instead of telling me they glued it back together (which obviously didn't hold) and are completely dodging me after all this. Do not let these people touch your car go somewhere else, don't let these people take advantage of you read more

My family and i have been going here for as long as i can remember and they have always been great to work with. Just had the radiator replaced in my grandmothers car and when she didnt know how she was going to pick it up they drove it her house for her! In the 15 years i have been driving and taking my personal car to franks, there has never been a single issue with any of their repairs and their diagnosis has always been top of the field. Their prices are very good too, much better than any dealership or big name chain store. Highly recommend Franks for any auto repair you might need. read more

I've been here a few times but always forget to review. I was there earlier today for an inspection and the crew working was helpful and friendly as always. I was in and out pretty quickly. It's a bit of a ways away from where I live but I will always make the trek if I need anything done for my vehicle. read more

Frank's is honest, knowledgeable and reasonable. Always treats the customer with respect and courtesy. I would not take my vehicles anywhere else. Highly recommend. Thank you Frank and Andrew read more

Had a great experience getting the state inspection sticker here! They were so friendly, fast, and helpful! They also switched my license plates to the new ones without me having to ask, which was HUGE (I have a 3 month old baby and it's 90+ degrees, so I was dreading figuring out when I was going to sweat over license plates bolts today...). As a woman I often feel uncomfortable at these kinds of places, but definitely didn't feel that way here, and it was really nice to see a young woman mechanic! read more

I got my car inspected and the people are so kind, respectful and always with a smile. Thank you all read more

The day before I had to go to NH to bring my mother to a doctor appointment, I realized my inspection sticker had expired. I called a few local places and left messages explaining the urgency, to see if I could get a same-day appointment after work. Frank's was the only one that called me back*. Not only could they take me the same day, they stayed open later than their usual hours, so I could get there after work. I was so relieved to have it done before I had to do a lot of driving the next day. I told them I'd put a nice review on Yelp! ;) *Actually, another place did call me back several days later. read more

I came in from out of state to pick up a truck. I wouldn't start and every place I called said they couldn't look at for 10 days. Franks said it might take a few days but they were able to get it done the same day. They were great! read more

I can't say enough about Franks. I came in at 3:00 PM at the end of the month and needed an oil change and an inspection. They took me right away, and had my car up in the air for no more than five minutes before they found a significant problem with my rear brakes. I had to get to an appointment and was afraid that the job would take a long time and be expensive. I was out of there by 4:15 with new brakes, an oil change, a new sticker, and new windshield wipers (My wipers were falling apart and Andrew said, "Let me change these for you!"). The cost was more than reasonable and they were so nice. It was a great experience and I found a new mechanic. I will definitely use Franks moving forward. read more

Franks is THE BEST Auto Repair shop I've been to - and I've been to a lot thanks to my high maintenance car. He's very honest, has VERY REASONABLE PRICES, and he works quickly. He's also one of the nicest and most sincere business owners, he's always very busy but will remember you and will treat you well. I highly recommend this place! read more

I came to Franks for a car inspection a couple years ago and recently this summer. They were fast and thorough and even checked a few extra things for me. Andrew and all the guys here have excellent customer service skills and make you feel like you are an important customer even if there is a line of people of people waiting for service. I heard a thudding noise a couple of days ago every time I stepped on the brakes so I had to check it out since it got consistently louder as a I drove more in Boston traffic. I called Franks and they told me to come in so I left work a couple hours early to have it checked since I didn't feel safe driving with this thumping noise with my long commute to work. I came and they checked it out for me the same night and turned out to be the front brakes and unsafe to drive. If I drove it more it would wear down the caliper so glad they could fix it right away. They even showed me where the problem was exactly when they lifted my car on the car lift. They checked stock for me and told me they could fix it the same night which was awesome because I wouldn't have to spend my day off waiting around for my car to be fixed. In short, they are very professional, efficient, friendly, and take care of everyone like they were family. I also feel they are honest and won't try to make you spend extra money if it is not necessary. I am grateful since again I have a long commute every day and a working car is essential. I would recommend anyone looking for an excellent mechanic to come here for unparalleled service! read more

Very friendly, appears to be family owned. Plenty of parking available. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I received a proper greeting within 1 minute after my arrival. I was just there for a registration sticker. read more

Had a bent heat shield on my Honda Civic that was dragging on the road when I drove. Went to Franks to have it fixed because I couldn't get under the car to reach it. Not only did they have me in and out in 10 minutes, but they only charged $5 for the screws they used. Will definitely be returning to Franks for future auto work. read more

I bring my car here whenever there is something wrong with it. It's an old car so there is always something wrong with it. Andrew is always so helpful, realistic, and one of the few people that doesn't try to screw over a consumer which is greatly appreciated as a recent college grad. If I could give this place more stars I could- great family, great service. Highly recommend! read more

I called at 4pm on a Friday and I was able to bring my car in 5 minutes later for an inspection. About 10 minutes later, my car was done! The mechanic was very friendly, if a little hard to understand due to a thick accent, but I would definitely go back again! Also, mention if you need synthetic oil ahead of time since I don't think they stock it regularly. read more

Amazing experience! Family owned and they took the time explaining to me what things were needed andwhat it would cost me with the breakdown. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience, and I will never go to another auto shop again because of it. read more
