Going to Shades of Green is like visiting a botanical garden. Lots of shade trees for comfortable browsing during warm San Antonio days. Beside plants they have a lot of cool fountains you can purchase. I have purchased annual vegetables and flowers here for decades. Sad to see them close, but looking forward to their next chapter.

They have a huge selection of both indoor and outdoor plants, and they just keep adding more and more selection of plants to their repertoire. If you love indoor plants, you have to check out their greenhouse. It always has a huge selection of plants from all sizes. They also recently opened a section of cacti and succulents which is super cool. I am not really into those plants, but just walking inside that section makes me feel like I am in Arizona or somewhere else. Frankly it is just magical how much one section can change to the next. Also, the service here is always excellent. I've got some amazing recommendations and tips to take care of my plants from the people that work here. In regards to the value, I think their prices are great for a small business. Anyhow, y'all can see I really love this plant nursery and I think it is a must if you are looking for a new plant baby or just want to take in nature.

They had labels throughout the garden but I hope they consider putting a few map posts someday. Loved the dinosaur statues! And the giant Over-Cup Oak (?). Overall, great experience.

As you walk around the grounds you'll notice there's also many greenhouses containing various houseplants. There's also a large variety of vegetable plants, cactuses, herbs, annuals and perennials. I was amazed by the large variety of trees: peach, apple, avocado, soursop, guava, walnut, pecan....the list goes on! Everyone there was extremely kind and helpful. The price of the plants were very reasonable and they have a loyalty program! You have 7 days a week to go check this place out- you will not regret it!

Sean and James came out with the guys that dug the holes and planted the trees. Sean gave us another text saying they would be here by a certain time. Another positive! I love when you get the text that says we will be there in 20 min. Sean and James were just amazing! They gave us some great ideas about where to plant some more trees and we will definitely be looking into that. While they were planting I went around the home with James getting ideas for our home. I was telling him how when the builders landscapers planted our bushes and flowers that they didn't center a plant up against our house. Well, later on James must of moved it and planted it in the center! I was sooooo thrilled because I have been meaning to replant it but he did it while he was at the house. Thank you soooooo much James. That means the world to me. After they were finished planting the 3 giants and the 5 smaller cypress trees, we chatted with Sean and James for a while. They were so great and their guys who planted them were super nice too! We love Moon Nursery! They really take care of you. We even had them do trees when we lived in California. They were great too! Totally going to buy all our plants from them from now on! Super guys and super company. And a special thank you to Steven for getting this all set up to buy these trees. He was great to work with. He is our go to guy from now on!
