I was in a pickle when my order for succulents were not supposed to arrive until after the event. In a panic, I googled succulents and found that this garden oasis was located just down the street from me! I wasn't expecting to find what I was looking for, but low and behold! Cathy came right out and greeted me. She was a delight! I told her about my situation and she was more than ready for the challenge. She took me to a couple of greenhouses tucked away among huge palm trees, and they were lush with succulents! Now, the size I needed would was complicated, but she came up with an idea that was cost effective and honestly saved the day! It is a beautiful, family owned place. A local family owned business that provides different types of palm and bamboo trees. We came here to look for some bamboo privacy trees for our backyard. We are so lucky to stumble upon this place, hidden in the Grissom neighborhood areas. The family here were so friendly and knowledgeable when it came to the different types of bamboo trees (who knew there are different bamboo plant species, lol). This is definitely helpful for first time bamboo tree planters such as ourselves. They offered great options and gave great tips on how to care for these trees to make sure they thrive in your own yard. They do deliver and are pretty flexible on the delivery times. Impressed by the quality of plants, even after our record snowstorm and cold weather. This place is very interesting, bamboo and palm trees tower over you as you navigate the clear paths to some very cool, unique plants. Person helping seemed disinterested. Plants not marked as over half (it appeared), were not for sale. Got to front to check out, took them awhile to show to collect money, but they said they would be back in a while. It was about double the time they said. Came back and told me the one plant wasn't for sale. Another plant was 'rare' it was and elephant ear plant. Charged 30 for it. Was not large. A larger specimen at Heb was later found, likely Appearing in better health for 15. read more

I have purchased multiple palm trees and Texas Native plants from this place; Both Alan and his dad were very knowledgable and they helped me to pick "the best out of the best " plants for my backyard; with their help I was able to create a spectacular "exotic theme" landscaping around my pool; I moved here from Chicago and had very minimal knowledge about the palm trees or Texas Native Plants that would survive San Antonio "Bipolar Winters"; They both guided me in a right direction with my landscaping plans and recommended only the plants that would do well all year along; I really appreciate their honesty and professional advice! HIDDEN UTOPIC GEM! Alan was very helpful taking me around on the Polaris showing me the many, many options for our newly cleared beds. Although the options for tropic paradise are limitless here, he helped me hone in on what would work for our specific needs in our yard. Plenty of cold hardy and zone specific options and many different sizes of the same plants/trees so you can see what the growth potential is. He was very knowledgeable about all of the inventory and his succulent artwork is gorgeous. The fact that they offer landscaping and landscape design is a huge plus. Went to get a bamboo plant for our yard. The owner helped explain to me which bamboo are clumping vs running. Then he assisted in picking out a healthy plant. Very impressed with selection of bamboo, palm trees, tropical trees and other hard to find tropicals. Bought a Mediterranean Palm. They delivered it and planted in our yard. I could not recommend this place enough! If you need larger plants for your home/outside, succulents, hanging houseplants, palm trees, privacy bamboo, literally anything, this place is absolutely for you. Allen was amazing at helping us find the perfect plant for what we needed and is extremely knowledgeable on every single plant in each greenhouse (there's around 6 or so, I believe, by the way which is amazing). He made sure we were comfortable with the prices as well as the care required for our new plants, and even helped us transfer a huge monstera into a new pot we found in one of the greenhouses that he kindly sold to us. I always say before I purchase a plant to check if PalmBuddha has it first, because the prices are well worth the drive to Leon Valley.
