What are great little shop! I guess looks can be deceiving. I wasn't expecting much when I showed up looking for a gift for a friend. But I was surprised! The selection here is a lot bigger than I was expecting. There's an indoor and outdoor section loaded with plants. The plants are healthy and strong, I didn't see any that were dead or dying. It was great to see so many happy plants! The staff was also great at pointing me in the right direction without being overbearing. They let me look without bothering me but offered help and tips on the plants I purchased. The plants were fair in price, especially for how healthy they are and continue to be. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Evergreen! I searched for places that carry Bonsai trees and this was listed so I had to check them out. I love shopping local! This local nursery is a great spot for adopting new plant babies. This is my second time visiting the nursery and I picked up a plant to gift my niece for her new home. I love the greenhouse with all the great indoor plant options. I love that they also host a shop with local goods to buy. I picked up nice plant pot as well. I think they have a good selection of even the popular plants. I would say that I came on a Friday morning my first time and they seemed to have more of a selection compared to my Thursday evening trip. Maybe it's worth looking into when they restock. Evergreen Garden is a beautiful plant nursery! This past weekend, I was in much need of some plant therapy and decided to visit Evergreen Garden. They have an extensive variety of outdoor plants and trees. My husband and I have been talking about planting a fruit tree on our backyard and was really excited to see their wide variety. After perhaps 1-2 min of wandering around Evergreen, one of their staff members asked if I needed helped. I told him I was looking for an indoor plant that didn't need much light, and he was graciously showed me a few options and gave me some tips. He made my decision very easy, and in just a few minutes I already had two plants with me. They also have a wide variety of beautiful pots for outdoor and indoor plants. In their back area, they also sell jewelry, purses, and some outdoor decoration. Evergreen also sells gift cards which I am definitely keeping in mind for a few of my friends birthdays. I'll definitely be coming back to Evergreen for a few more plants! read more

What a sweet little place! I'm new to the world of house plants, specifically tropicals, and the selection was diverse and full. Don't be mislead- from the outside it doesn't seem like much, but it's a whole different story in the greenhouse. Upon walking inside, you are greeted by a boutique stock full of pots, watering cans, etc., and all sorts of plant themed goodies. Coming here after payday is dangerous. Now, the plants. I was immediately drawn the gorgeous monsteras and philodendrons. What I really enjoyed was the selection of baby plants. While a little on the pricier side, I did end up purchasing a gorgeous Rex begonia in a tiny pot and a tiny pot with TWO tradescantia props. On top of all of the tropicals there is a nice selection of cacti and succulents, all gorgeous. While the prices at this little nursery are higher than your average plant store, it is definitely a place that every plant lover should stop by at least once. I left feeling inspired. read more

My husband and I were in SA and looking for a plant store. We found that this plant shop is open on Sundays! They have a variety of plants and fruit trees for sale. From plum trees to peppers, to cacti and succulents, there is an endless supply of plants both good for indoor and outdoor. It's an absolute must to go in their greenhouse. The first part of it is like a small little retail shop with a selection of clothing, greeting cards, pots, seeds, plant decor and all things plants. They even have plant Legos and pillows, jewelry - you name it! If you are specifically looking for philodendron Florida ghosts, this is a great place to purchase them! They are reasonably priced and have lots of growth. They don't have many rare plants with variegation, but they do have lots of indoor plants to choose from. My boyfriend and I walked outside for a bit, we thought we were ready to leave with our plants when we were informed of an indoor area. We walked in, and we were shocked. This is an amazing local garden center. They have a large number of organic plants, soils, and mulches, and yet they maintain very low prices. Their deals on citrus trees are surprisingly good, especially for how hearty and tall the trees are. I'm most impressed with how well-curated their garden accessories are. All of the pots, watering cans, and garden furniture is classy and attractive. Nothing looks cheap or silly even though the deals are fantastic. I'm a new succulent momma and have started to collect pots. Since I started with online purchases (since they are cheaper) I finally decided to check out some local nurseries that are said to have a selection of succulents. This was my first stop as it was one of the few nurseries open after 4pm. It was also the smallest in size. Yet I walked away with one new baby and a bunch of pots. I found there wasn't as large a selection of pots as in the photos on Yelp but they had reasonable prices compared to the nurseries I visited after this one. I'm glad I took the opportunity to pick up 5 different pots that I liked. They were mostly plain in different colors or terra cotta. The ones I really, really loved didn't have drainage holes but since I couldn't compromise on that I skipped them. Later I found the inside pots and also chose one of those. We were going to leave when I mentioned being disappointed there were no succulents. He said well we must have missed the greenhouse! Yes, it's behind the little outside booth you pay at, the door around the corner. Inside were specialty gifts and the fancier inside pots. These were a bit more expensive and I recognized many of them from online vendors. After wandering around we came across the cacti and succulents tucked in the back. Many of them were leggy and stretched needing more light. I did find one I've been wanting and the price wasn't much more than an online plant and I didn't have to wait for it to arrive. Overall it's a nursery I'd visit again if only to check out their medium size pots when my babies outgrow their tiny pots. I hope that this was just the leftover succulents and if I came again they'd be in better shape from a newer shipment. read more

I'm being a little bit generous here, but what the hell. (There is no 4.5 star rating.) I do like this place. Sometimes I feel like I am in a botanical museum because of the variety and quality of the plants in their "curated" settings. The people who work here obviously take pride in how their nursery looks. Going inside the greenhouse is like entering the inner sanctum. Inside, the atmosphere is very different from a typical greenhouse. Narrow walkways between hundreds (thousands?) of plants, many of them on raised platforms so that they are close enough for you to look them over properly. The lighting level is natural filtered sunlight, which also adds to the ambience. The merchandise is a little pricey, but this is offset by all the care the plants receive. So unlike the racks of plants at the HEB on Olmos. (Sometimes they look like they will get cooked on a hot afternoon. And they probably would if they did not have an employee with a watering hose. ) The merchandise looks like it is just hauled in for selling. Yes, a big truck brings them from wherever they are mass produced. Something like those puppy mills you are always warned about. Yes, I stopped buying plants at HEB because they are poor quality and you have no guarantee that they are in good health. One medium-size basil plant I brought home from HEB developed white spots in a few days so I had to toss it. I imagine this may be a fairly common thing. Plants from Evergreen will not disappoint you with poor performance. I am pretty sure of that. It's a fun place to explore and to get acquainted with some plant species that are not all that common. read more

They have a cute little boutique in the greenhouse and there is always sale items which is great for those of us who can't always afford things full price haha Great place to go if you aren't sure what plant to get because the employees are very helpful and have been there forever. read more

This place was a great place to go for plants but it slowly started to decline along with customer service. They had less plants and more and more accessories. The accessory shop inside the green house has really nice things but with a large ticket price on 90% of their items. Really nice stuff though. It's been a month since I was last there and maybe more plants arrived for the season. Unless I'm desperately looking for a particular plant, this wouldn't be my first choice. read more

Wide selection of herbs, flowers, trees and lots of positivity. Your soul will be filled with joy just looking around at the beautifully maintained plants and they selection of pottery is amazing. Mostly ornate Talavera from the south, there are a few contemporary selections as well as some more Asian inspired choices in addition to Italian and American made classic pots. Simple selection of soil available so you won't leave with a headache with the different varieties of souls the other larger big box stores offer. I recommend the organic soil for a low $6.
