    Trees down the side of our home to give us some privacy.

    Well, today we had our trees planted by Moon Nursery. First I got a text saying they would be out at our home between 7-9am. They showed up at 7:45. Awesome! Sean and James came out with the guys that dug the holes and planted the trees. Sean gave us another text saying they would be here by a certain time. Another positive! I love when you get the text that says we will be there in 20 min. Sean and James were just amazing! They gave us some great ideas about where to plant some more trees and we will definitely be looking into that. While they were planting I went around the home with James getting ideas for our home. I was telling him how when the builders landscapers planted our bushes and flowers that they didn't center a plant up against our house. Well, later on James must of moved it and planted it in the center! I was sooooo thrilled because I have been meaning to replant it but he did it while he was at the house. Thank you soooooo much James. That means the world to me. After they were finished planting the 3 giants and the 5 smaller cypress trees, we chatted with Sean and James for a while. They were so great and their guys who planted them were super nice too! We love Moon Nursery! They really take care of you. We even had them do trees when we lived in California. They were great too! Totally going to buy all our plants from them from now on! Super guys and super company. And a special thank you to Steven for getting this all set up to buy these trees. He was great to work with. He is our go to guy from now on!

    Kevin Morales and his tree installation team from Moon Valley Nurseries (1604) did an excellent job. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions, which made the whole process feel easy and reassuring. They worked efficiently and clearly knew what they were doing, handling everything with care and professionalism. It was a great experience from start to finish, and I'm very happy with the new tree, quality and value of their work. Worth every penny! Thanks Fellas!!!

    Updated Sep 12, 2025 (final) Read the contract. Get a rider in writing. Purchased a substantial Mediterranean fan palm (San Antonio). During delivery (Jul 9) my front step was chipped. After slow responses, action picked up only after I escalated through AmEx; a repair was attempted mid-August. The patch removed the trip edge but left a visible gray spot on a beige slab (photo attached)--mediocre at best. A district manager told me "MV isn't contractually responsible for damages," which matches the contract language. I planned a larger follow-on purchase contingent on binding liability coverage (rider or COI with endorsements). On Sep 12, MV declined to provide binding documentation. No compensation was offered, no discount terms were delivered, and the step remains subpar. I'm not proceeding and have reopened a partial AmEx dispute to recover the reasonable cost to properly remediate the step. Advice for buyers: - Get a rider that overrides the "not responsible for damage" clause, with simple timelines. - Ask for a COI naming you Additional Insured (Primary & Non-Contributory; Waiver of Subrogation). - Do a pre-install site walk (route, spotter over hardscape, pre/post photos; price a crane if recommended). - If a goodwill discount is offered, get it in writing. The trees were strong and several local staff were professional. My issue is corporate: heavy on marketing; light on binding commitments.

    I had a great experience at Moon Valley! As soon as we parked Roberto came to assist and answer any questions we had. He educated us on which products worked best for our yard and was very knowledgeable about everything. They have many plants and trees to pick from and great prices. Ask for Roberto De Witt at your next visit! You won't be disappointed

    Izzy (Ismael Perales) is very knowledgeable and provided exceptional service to us and helped us to select palm trees for our desired space. He was very patient in explaining everything and walked us through the entire process. He made us feel at ease. On the day of delivery, Tony Flores and his team did an amazing job with installing our palm trees. They also cleaned up after they were done. Tony was very nice and personable. He answered all of our questions!

    Jason helped us when we got to the nursery. He answered all our questions when we asked him about some tree options. He was clearly very knowledgeable. While we initially wanted to go with a Monterrey Oak, we decided to hold off because it was quite pricey. Instead, we went with some crepe Myrtle's to pant along our fence line. We also took home some potted shrubs and some moon valley plant food. Jason ended up throwing in a couple of bags of mulch which was unexpected.

    Only come here if you are wealthy. Trees start at $500! Then they go from $5000 on up, not in this economy!

    Welp, I'm officially adult, having purchased my very own Christmas tree for the first time ever…read more That's not counting my Charlie Brown table top tree that I proudly displayed in my first ever apartment for a few years. Not really knowing where to start, I remembered always seeing this little tree "farm" in that triangle of green space on Austin Hwy near the Broadway intersection. A sucker for supporting a good cause and keeping it local, I decided to make it my first stop on the hunt. It was the weekend before Thanksgiving, so there were plenty of lush pines to choose from (Firs to be specific...) starting at 3 and 4 feet and working their way up to 8-9 feet. It didn't take us long to find the perfect one, and within 10 minutes, the volunteer guys running the show had it trimmed, chopped and loaded in our truck for us. We also scored a deal on last year's stand (I think they were selling them half-price). All in all, we made it out of there in less than 20 minutes and spent exactly $100 for a beautiful fresh scented Fir and a brand new stand. It warrants mentioning that, yes, you will find a cheaper tree at Home Depot (by about half the price). But what you won't find is three gentlemen ready and willing to help, with smiles on their faces, and a Christmas Tree purchase that gives you warm fuzzies beyond the usual holiday spirit. Support local when you can!

I was…read moregoing in to buy a new dishwasher and had already researched the options before I went in. Normally, when I go into Lowe's, no less than 2 to 3 people stop and ask if I need help. This visit I only had 1 person and he didn't even work in the appliance section. I was in the section long enough to look over all the options and the open box options, then come back to my selection to really check it out without the sales person ever coming to speak to me. Once I was ready, I went to check out with the sales person and never once did he ask if I had any questions or how he could offer any other assistance with the purchase. I needed installation, which turned out to be almost a month later on April 15. To pay for a new appliance and not be able to enjoy it until almost a month later is ludicrous. Overall, I'm just meh about this experience at Lowe's.

It has been a total nightmare…read more I just called to speak with them and asked to speak with a manager in customer services and they hung up the phone on me. Absolutely worst business on earth. On my new LG washing machine, the decal that shows the lettering for the dial wiped off within two weeks of ownership. I called LG and they say it's cosmetic and wouldn't be covered and that I should contact Lowe's. LG actually made a call to Lowe's and said that they were made aware of the issue. (From LG it sounds like perhaps that lettering is put on by Lowe's?). Without the lettering on the washing machine, you can't select which cycle you're using. Lowes sold me a $548 piece of trash. Everything I've purchased has been problematic and I have spent hours trying to sort things out. They credited the receipt for two of the purchases to a phone number that I no longer have that they knew I didn't have. I gave them a correct phone number they entered it incorrectly. I've been on the phone with them over and over just to get these appliances purchased and installed, and the consequences are things that didn't work correctly, damage to my home, and physical injury to me because of poor Service. (The staff who Lowe's arranged to deliver the refrigerator brought both (old and new) refrigerators into my living room. They moved heavy furniture to make room for two refrigerators. I've actually fractured my spine moving things back that they left displaced because they wanted space to move two refrigerators at the same time. There was no reason why they had to have both of them unhooked and pushed through the house simultaneously. If I designed the maximum amount of harm a business could do by having you as a customer Lowes would be doing that. Every step has cost me more than it should have in time, money, aggregation and damages. In order to schedule installation Lowes requires the purchase of installation parts. If they don't work the customer doesn't get a refund. Workers use the wrong parts (even if it means the dryer can't be pushed back because the hose is too long). Now a portion of my hallway is blocked because the hose is too long (because (of course) Lowes required me to buy the longest possible most expensive hose.). I also had to have additional work done because the long hose is kinked. That required a service call from a different business to be able to get the kinked hose to have enough airflow. Don't go to Lowe's. Never knew a business that did what they just did to me. I called and spoke with "appliances" and when they couldn't help, I asked to speak to Customer Service. And instead of transferring me, they just disconnected the call. $3000 spent there and I can't even get somebody to talk to.
