I walked in on Wednesday at 11am and was asked immediately what I would like, only 2 other people were in the salon. My tech was named Coco or Gogo (they said their name quickly) I got a detox pedi with gel polish. The choices of polish were great. We had a slightly painful experience on one of my big toes but she was apologetic and took her time. My feet are special/difficult/one of a kind, so I am used to a little pain. She was strong considering I have a size 10 1/2 shoe. She worked these calluses and the dead skin on the heels. All and all a great experience and I am surprised they are not busier! read more

I am from out of town and this location is across from my hotel. I needed a fill and a couple nails repaired. I arrived at 623 . She asked if i got my nails done there . I told her no. She said she doesn't have the color i needed . I indicated that I would be getting a new color. I was turned away because they close at 7. The 2 ladies who walked in before me were turned away also. Though I'm not sure what they were getting, it seems over a half hour is more than ample time to do a fill. Also seems as if they gave a cut off time for their services, she, who was at the desk when i walked in would have immediately told me she was not accepting more people. It's been almost 4 years since Ive started using this salon, it takes a lot for me to like a person/place so once I find quality nail art I am a loyal customer! I have brought my family multiple times and the quality of dip powder, pedicures, gel x and service is always consistent. I ALWAYS make an appointment, and never have to wait to be seen. This salon has a relaxing environment and I never feel like my services are being rushed. Most importantly, I never leave the chair with a concern about the shape of my nails, or quality of the nail art! It is such a relief to look down at your nails and say "omg, it's just how I wanted them, maybe even better!" All the staff are polite and friendly but Helen is my girl, shes loves what she does, takes pride in her work, she's a real talent and it really shows through my nails. Went in as a walk-in on a Sunday around 4:15pm and asked for SNS to which I was shown the plethora of color choices available. Originally, I chose a chrome color but they informed that there's a $15 extra charge for chrome colors so I changed to a baby pink. I definitely appreciated being informed of the extra charge before going any further. *Regular SNS on my own nails = $40 I was seated immediately, by Helen, who proceeded to do the treatment to take off the current SNS + tip that I had. The process took longer than expected because the SNS was not budging so another nail tech re-soaked my nails for another 10ish minutes. She asked me if I wanted tip again which I kindly declined this time, due to my job. I forgot to ask for my nail tech's name but she did a fairly good job. My nails aren't perfectly uniform which doesn't bother me too much. The one thing that did bother me though was that she didn't clean underneath my nails after the SNS so when I got home, I had to use a cuticle clipper to take out all the leftover gunk. I will say that I was peeping another client getting her names done with Mimi and she was super meticulous and did a great job from what I saw from afar so I may make an appt with her next time. read more

Hey.. So I'm new in town. I just moved here 6 months ago. I don't have a go to nail tec here yet but I normally drive to Sandy springs to do my nails. My friend told me about a place closer to where I just bought my house so I decided to check it out with my mom. Everything was going well.. Me & my mom got detox pedicures and she got a manicure. I needed a soak off and new set as well. The women who did my nails name was Joan or Joanne. Things went left when I felt like the length wasn't to my liking. Pinky was too long.. etc (minor preference adjustments). I asked her to make 3 of them shorter and that made "HER" mad. The whole time I'm calm, she's UPPPPPSET. Saying "her work, her work". I was confused so I had to keep asking her if "she's" ok. We get pass that and as she's starting the shape. A pregnant woman calls her over. She comes back after speaking with her and says she can either finish without me saying anything or she can cut them off & I go. Now I'm confused because we're already passed it. Now we're talking back and forth about what has just transpired because I mentioned the length before she did the acrylic and she told me to wait and see & that she can do a "special length.. that they were already all even". My mom chimes in and ask how can we resolve it.. telling them woman to breathe (This is how mad she was). Im super calm because I now like the length now & also never got mad or loud. I don't wanna look like a angry black woman in the salon, even when I don't like a service I will never act out or disrespect anyone. So, the pregnant woman comes over and very disgustingly says to me how Ive been here 3hrs.. ( I got there at 3:10.. it's now 5:07.. plus I soaked off my old set so the time is 2hrs. Pedicure was done as well) basically says I have to go and walks away screaming "CUT EM OFF". Now Joan is confused on what to do because again I'm not mad I just don't understand how my nail preferences offends her. I told her I'll go but I'm gonna pay for my nails becuz I'm not soaking twice today and I don't mind paying for my service. I paid a $224 bill and left Moral of the story.. in this salon you can't tell them what you like. Even if you're the customer, it's your preference, will make you happy, and is your money.. It's offends. I have 400k followers on IG. I recorded some of this on my phone becuz I was so confused & embarrassed. I'm going to post it. It was empty when we came. Soon as people started coming in it seems like ok bye now y'all. Before even one complaint from me she asked me if I just wanted to keep my nails plain and not get a design (once customers started coming). I'm gonna upload my bill and how I left below. Mind you look at the charges.. (15$ For additional idk maybe the soak which was thrown on my face for time. Also extra for a shape or length I never got). PS: the tip I left was for my moms tech and my pedicure lady. As you can see I didn't even want to take this experience out on anyone. This is my third visit to Calla Nail Spa and the quality of the services has gotten worse with each visit. The first time was good, but after my last visit and this morning's manicure, I won't be back. It's hard for me to understand how a nail salon can mess up a basic gel manicure. Edited to include owner's response to my review: Thank you for your offer. Had I not had an appointment at 12 in Woodstock, I might have elected to stay and have the problem corrected. However, because the manicure was not done properly the first time, I was forced to choose between missing my appointment or walking around with bad-looking nails. I usually come with pictures of what I want (from random Instagram nail pages) and they are able to do replicate perfectly. To say I'm particular about my nails is an understatement. I have been from Alpharetta to Midtown and I let two people do my nails. Mimi at Calla Nails is one of them. When I first hit her chair listened to my very detailed request (...must have been annoying because I'd been several places and was unhappy) and gave me what I asked for, which is attention to detail and pride in her work. I've been back 10 or so times now. My nails are pretty simple but I want them perfect. Mimi gives me perfect nails every time. (No pressure, Mimi.) Otherwise, it's a great salon full of sweet people. This place had 20 pedicure seats, very clean and with Covid they spray and clean after each customer. Very customer service oriented and just above average prices, but you get what you pay for. Wanted to share a horrible experience I had at Calla Nails. Today at had a 10 am appointment for nails. picked my color and was seated 15 mins later. The technician started on my nails. After breaking one and then cutting me she applied the dip and then chrome powder. The powder immediately streaked and bubbled. I offered to chose a different color and she said no. She did the nails again and the same thing happened. Again I asked to choose a different color and she refused. This happened 2 more times until she just got up and told me I'd have to come back later. I started to walk out and they proceeded to charge me almost $60 dollars for this absolutely saying "we won't charge you for the polish" and I could "come back after 6 since I was unhappy." My 2 year old could have done a better job. Zero stars. read more

This salon is absolutely stunning, with a variety of colors , comfortable seats, and great service. Today was my second time going for services and I received a great pedicure. Unfortunately the technician Tyler was not friendly and pretty unwelcoming (this is my 2nd encounter).Regardless of this technicians lack of hospitality , I will return but recommend another technician for those who expect good customer service as well. I am big on Customer Service and not a fan of wasting my money!!! FOUR days ago I go here for a fill-in and pedicure.(Sorry I didn't take a picture)! Of course on the surface everything looks good..I get home and look a little closer and my nails look a hot mess. They are not filed smoothly and the polish looks as if its lifting. So I filed them myself in an effort not to go back but and low and behold the polish chips on several of my nails. Soooooo I go back for an even bigger failed effort. As I am sitting there the young lady asks a few questions and then says that they want the feed back. So again she asks do you like your nails? I look and polish job is just a bad. So my response is, If this is your best, I will not be back. Again I am big on Customer Service there is No apology, No what do you not like, No how can I fix it.. But instead she try's to rush the drying process and when I get to my car I look down and the polish is matted and bubbly so I go back. AGAIN NO EMPATHY AT ALL.. I think its simple..Take your time and give the people what they pay for. Now if I really wanted to show my ass I would dispute the charges with my bank. But there is no blessing in that!! What I will do is take my money elsewhere!! Come on ALPHARETTA is this the best we can do?? I guess I gotta go to the city to get my monies worth! I really like their work. Easy to make an appointment and they are usually on schedule. Utensils used are clean as they open a sterilized and sealed pack for each customer. Would be nice if they deep cleaned their spa chairs better because dust builds up from the products in the air, but they do use liners. I recommend. read more

I went in for SNS on my natural nails and left with lumpy looking, thick nails after asking for them to be filed down some. When the service was over, the oil was applied and the nails looked to be in good shape but when I looked at them the next day, they looked like press ons. Not the new age ones either, the ones where you can tell they're press ons. I called and informed them that I would be out of town for the next few days and working a few days after that and they were SUPER nice about coming back in for a fix when I was available. I made it back 1 week after my initial service and was put with the same person who did my nails the first time which was understandable considering he was fixing it for free. He started trying to fix them by adding on more dip powder on top of what was already there and using the drill tool to shave down around what was done last time but still kept them fairly thick after I continued to ask for it to be filed down some more for a more natural look. His concern was that they would look too transparent but I wasn't worried about that. After a lot of back and forth, we finally got my nails shaved down and not as lumpy. I was also given a 10% off coupon for next time for the inconvenience. Over the next few days, I noticed that although the nails were not as thick, the part down by the cuticle was raised more than normal which contributed to the press on look all over again. Now, not even 2 weeks later, I am experiencing chipping and one nail just came slap off completely. I am also seeing now that by using the drill tool around the existing SNS when I went in for the repair, my nails were shaved down WAY too much right there at the bottom end. It's red and sensitive over my nail in that area and its upsetting to know that I paid more than I have ever paid for SNS at this salon to have damaged, short lived nails. Again, everyone was super nice and that's what earned this place the two stars I rated it but other than that, I had a subpar experience which surprised me considering it had pretty high reviews. read more

Me and my friend wanted to get pedicures together so we called at 4:30 and they told us we could come at 5:30. we got there early at 5:00 so we just went in to see if they could take us, but when we went in they told us they could only take us at 6:00, then we told them we called and they made us wait. So we waited until 6:00 and we came back but when we came back they said they could only take one of us even though they clearly knew that there were two of us, so we just left. read more
