Kanika is an extremely talented designer, and I can't recommend her enough!…read more We bought a house in March 2020 - signed the contract days before covid stay at home orders. My husband and I then spent two years working from home together in our front room (we call it the study now) without any rhyme or reason, just putting our desks wherever they fit, because it all happened so quickly. It was awkward and ugly, cords and monitors everywhere, and not a great look for people walking in our front door. The whole time, I was thinking, "when this is done and at least one of us goes back to the office, I want to make this room into a nice space to read and relax, and also to WFH when I have to." That's where Kanika comes in. I tried changing the place up on my own, but every choice I made seemed to make my space uglier and more awkward. It was time to hire a professional. That decision was worth every penny. In the end, my project turned out to be slightly bigger than just one room. I enlisted Kanika's help in choosing flooring, baseboards and paint for the whole house, furniture for my entire downstairs (we were still using the old living room furniture left by the previous owners), and light fixtures throughout. She was easy to work with and understood immediately what I was going for. My study is a real showstopper now - the walls are this deep blue color that looks amazing, she designed a gorgeous custom bookshelf that makes perfect use of the space, and she picked a couch that is the perfect size, just the right color, and so comfortable. And we still managed to get a desk in there for those WFH days. Literally just the other day, I was on a Zoom with someone and thought "this room behind me is so pretty, it looks like a fake background." But it's real, and in my house! And it wouldn't have happened without Kanika. The paint color she helped me pick for my bedroom is something I never would have chosen on my own, but I still regularly think about how nice it looks whenever I go in there. Same with the color of the living room couch, I'd never have found it on my own, but now that I have it, I love it. She knows her stuff. Kanika's husband Adi runs the business side of things. He managed the project, hiring contractors and keeping everything on schedule. The work was done on time, and he kept us in the loop, patiently answering any concerns or questions. And, no shenanigans with the final cost. Really, hiring Kanika Design was a great decision for us.

Shawn took a look around, listened to what I had in mind, and thankfully told me what would or wouldn't work. The refinished cabinets look like new. They do high quality work. He made his best effort to get things done within the time frame discussed but, as with any renovation, there were some unexpected issues that led to minor delays and affected cost. A thorough search LED us to Shawn and Create Interior Design. He came and met with us several times to explain his process and guide us through the entire project step by step. He drafted several design concepts based on our input and refined them until we were happy. After the basics had been locked down, it was much easier for us to choose specific tiles, colors and fixtures. The lifelike 3D renderings provided a clear vision of what the finished bathroom would look like, and removed all the guesswork and stress from this project. Shawn provided us with an extremely detailed list of every item and exact cost for the project including scheduling, permits, demo, construction, inspections and every material and fixture. It was clear that we were in experienced and competent hands. We chose to have Shawn and his team handle the project and complete all of the work period his crew was incredible. Each craftsman who worked on different parts of the remodeling was clearly a skilled professional with attention to detail and pride in their workmanship. They accommodated small changes and dealt with unforeseen issues as they occurred. Despite the scale and duration of this total remodel, they kept the work area much cleaner and more organized than we had expected. The finshed result is truly amazing. We now have a totally new bathroom which is the highlight of the entire house. We would highly recommend Create Interior Design and Shawn's thorough approach to designing, documenting, organizing and implementing your home remodeling dream project.

A Masterful Designer & Project Manager - Highly Recommend!…read more After experiencing severe water damage in our kitchen, we initially set out to remodel just that space. However, as we got deeper into the process, we quickly realized how overwhelming it was without a designer. What started as a kitchen renovation soon expanded into a full home transformation--kitchen, bathrooms, family, living, and dining rooms--all of which desperately needed an update from their original 1992 construction. After months of searching and interviewing designers, we found Alina Druga Interiors. My wife was especially drawn to her award-winning designs, and after glowing reference checks, we confidently hired her for both the design and project management phases. From the very beginning, Alina brought a sense of clarity and structure to what had been a chaotic and overwhelming process. One of Alina's greatest strengths is her ability to ask the right questions to truly understand her clients' style and needs. She introduced us to ideas we would never have considered, while also being straightforward and honest about what would or wouldn't work--and, more importantly, why. She has a gift for refining ideas into something cohesive, tasteful, and elegant. Beyond her impeccable design skills, Alina is extremely detail-oriented and proactive. She spotted potential construction issues early on, saving us from costly mistakes. Her detailed CAD drawings were invaluable in helping us visualize the design and made things significantly smoother for our contractor. Thanks to her meticulous planning and years of experience, the entire process was well-organized--so by the time construction began, every material, appliance, and detail was already accounted for. While the preparation process took about a year, the actual construction went remarkably smoothly and was completed in just four months. Now, every time we walk through the door, we feel happy and relaxed in our beautifully designed home. It truly feels like the house we've wanted for years--our happy place! Alina's expertise, organization, and eye for design transformed our home into something modern, inviting, and perfectly suited to our lifestyle. If you are looking for a designer who is not only talented but also an exceptional project manager, we highly recommend Alina Druga Interiors!

We had Ingrid as an invaluable link whilst the works were carried out. All in all, the project was thorough and executed with great skill and a keen eye for detail. We loved partnering with Maureen on the design. She made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free, helping us bring our vision to life while elevating it in ways we couldn't have done on our own. For every decision, whether it was shower tiles or cabinetry wood, she presented us with a thoughtfully curated set of options, saving us from hours of researching online and in-store. Often times, designers have the same "look" for multiple projects. Not Maureen - I could tell she chose finishes based on her client's preferences. Our late 1970s home was in dire need of new floors, interior doors, and an updated stair banister. Maureen suggested an initial walkthrough to ensure she would be a good fit. From the moment she showed up, I enjoyed being in her presence. The brief suggestions she made were in line with my ideas, and I knew I had to work with her. Maureen was mindful of our budget. She would always ask my opinion prior to sourcing design choices, even after I communicated that I had full trust in her. It was true collaboration. Maureen consistently stayed on top of timelines and would keep me updated in a timely manner. We enjoyed working with Maureen so much that we decided to add on a master bath remodel. I now get to wake up every morning in the beauty of our new home. I'm certain that this vision would not happen if it weren't for Maureen's talent. For me, having someone design your home isn't just about their skill and creativity, it also includes how they made you feel through the process. The project is still in progress, but with three major rooms complete, we're convinced working with Samantha was one of the best decisions we've made during our home refresh. First, even though we've been home owners for a while and thought we knew what we were doing, Sam completely changed the way my wife and I think about paint. She asked thoughtful questions to understand how we wanted each room to feel, not just how we wanted it to look. The results have been remarkable. Our once-dark home office is now calm, bright, and inspiring to work in every day. She gently steered our preteen daughter away from indecision to a color that feels sophisticated, warm, and a perfect green that can flex with her changing moods. And our bathroom?
