Variety. Quality. 24/7 availability. I don't know what more a donut fan could ask for. This place is great and the donuts are delicious. My favorite so far has been the croissant donut (It's called something else) it was amazing! My friend swears by the Peanut Butter & Jelly.

Dineo M.

new favorite glazed donuts! it's not too sweet and more vanilla flavoring than a regular glazed donut. mouth watering at the idea of trying more of their donuts.

Came back here because I was in the area and didn't regret it for once. Parking and getting in to the plaza is always atrocious so beware. Lots of different donuts in stock but none of my favorites anymore. It's okay though because it gave me a chance to try some basics and this donut shop does basics so well! I got the blueberry cake and it's so unique because they made it in an old fashion mold and it's perfect for this donut because it made so many nice crispy edges and the perfect amount of glaze and the donut was moist too! So now I know to not be disappointed I need to be buying the basic donuts here take notes people you can never go wrong with basics! Their packaging is cute and modern and service was quick and nice. I'll be back now that I finally know what to order. Hope they keep the blueberry cake in their rotation and daily flavor.

Been coming here since my college days, California Donuts never disappoints! My favorite is the strawberry and nut. Fresh, fluffy, and always creative. A must-stop sweet spot in LA. Service is always great and this is the perfect ambiance for a late night snack. It got me through after club nights

Been coming here for years, always fresh donuts for being 24hr in impressed!! So many delicious flavors and options to pick from. Also don't sleep on their coffee, it's quit good !!

My coworker kindly brought a box of an assorted dozen to the office and I got to try a few different doughnuts. They had good flavor, but were a little too greasy. I think their heyday has passed... will stick to Sidecar. 3.5 stars.

Turkey & Cheese & Jalapeo Croissant

When I first discovered this place over a decade ago, I didn't think it would be all that. No one went here and it was just a place that served donuts. Then they started making fancier and fancier donuts and became super popular. Before all that happened though, someone told me how they had $2,50 ham, cheese and jalapeño croissants. When I tried my first one, I was blown away, but then was even more amazed at the one with turkey. I couldn't believe my taste buds. Did Asians make a better croissant than the French? How was this even possible? Anyway, I've spent countless times coming back here to get croissants, because they are absolutely phenomenal. I love these more than any other croissants I've tried out here and could recommend these to anyone to try. They're open 24 hours, so time doesn't not discriminate against the desire for a goodie at any time of day. They also make really good cream puffs and donuts too, but I have kind of deprioritized sweets in my life. The ambiance is outdoors, so it is what it is, but the service is great because they'll toast your croissant on the spot for you. I love the croissants here and even though they raised the price to somewhere in between $5.50 to $6.25 (I think it's $6.25 after tax?), I will keep eating them. Just not in as big of a quantity as I used to get, thanks to inflation...

The donuts are fluffy fresh and delicious! Our favorite has to be fruity pebbles matcha chocolate with strawberries chocolate m'm and the adorable panda Definitely Best in LA !

Delicious! Most donuts with a bunch of topping are stale but not these! My favorite was the Oreo panda. This place gets busy but the line moves fast.

I can confidently say that I have never had a fresher doughnut before and I love getting donuts. They had such a wide variety of flavors available and they were all so fresh. I personally ordered the Taro doughnut, the Matcha donut and the classic chocolate doughnut so those three donuts came out to 675. I would say that the Taro donut is definitely on the sweeter side so keep that in mind the matcha donut was like the perfect amount of sweetness. But the bread is phenomenal. It is so glutenous and there are legitimate air pockets within the donut. It's so good. You have to try it.

I was in need of a few dozens of donuts for a large gathering of folks late in the evening. Luckily I found this place that was open and nearby. WOW. This place has a wide variety of donuts and pastries. I ordered 2 of almost everything. Apparently I was the only person not aware of California Donuts. When I arrived to the meeting, everyone recognized the box and immediately began picking their favorites. Now I know. Located on the corner with a huge glass window, outside only. Parking is tight but it's open 24 hours.

Olivia R.

The donuts are fresh and tasted so good! I came super late and they had a lot in stock. I would come back again!

You should probably call them to be sure, but my guess is they have to close at 10:00.

Orange Blossom Almond Croissant -personally was disgusting, orange blossom was extremely strong. Too fragrant that it tasted like a floral bath bomb or soap. Some do like this but it wasn't for me. Passionfruit cream filling wasn't too sweet. I loved the tart passionfruit seeds. But you might want to scoop some out if you don't enjoy too much sourness. Elderflower Rhubarb Danish - way too crunchy, would prefer it to be crispy instead of a crunch. Filling was good, not too sweet. Black Sesame Parisian Flan -if you love black sesame, this would be right up your alley. Perfect sweet treat to bring to any auntie's home! Blueberry Tea Scone -not too dense. Surprisingly not too sweet even with the demerara sugar coating. It wasn't really crunchy but more sticky and caramelized from sitting.

I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off.
