Definitely giving this location 5 stars based on one employee in particular.. I believe her name was Mimi. From the moment I walked in she was very helpful and truly went above and beyond helping me get a rather larger check verified from a company who was pretty hard to get a hold of. Wasn't too happy about the fee of the check but all the trouble I had went through because of the amount I was just thankful she was able to get it cashed for funds I needed asap. All the other employees that were answering phones, and helping other customers seemed to be very nice as well. All around one of the best locations I have been to customer service wise and I will definitely recommend to anyone needing check cashing services! Thank you again. read more

Fucking place tellers are so rude and specially the Manager she's so lazy even though she sees a customer she won't help she keeps on looking and continuous sitting in the back thats not fair to the customers... I wont recommend California Check Cashing in Vallejo read more

They are not nice. Very rude and not helpful. They made me go through the whole process just to tell me they wouldn't cash my school check

I would not recommend this place to anyone . The customer service is horrible. They are in the back of the window, giggling and laughing like there's a party. the will rob you blind . read more

Terrible business, most of the employees are clueless and rude. Do not use this business if at all possible, emergency's happen but they'll pretty much disregard you as soon as you sign and accept their money and end up costing you more than you plan. Terrible business practices again not worth it. read more

I never have an issue with this place until last time I felt super discriminated because while I was trying to cash my paycheck this Asian woman ask me to deposit my money on a debit card that they offer , I told her no because I need the cash, but she keep pushing snd even tell me they didn't have enough cash so I have to put my money in a money order , so I insisted and told her one more time that I really need the cash not a money order or a debit card , she was really annoying my check was for like 300$ very bad excuse to not cash my check. I won't be returning here anymore. read more

Super helpful and appreciate the reduced cost to cash my check. Called and made sure that I was able to pick up remainder of what was owed. Friendly and safe staff. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I took my father in law to cash a $25 personal check that he got as a gift from a friend that lives in another state. They had us in there for literally 30 mins acting like they were going to cash the check but then came back and accused him of forging the check then when we pointed out the signature was different they decided to say the check was too old (dates end of September). Now had they said that beforehand instead of having us there for 30 minutes I would have been fine with that but for him to be accused of forging a check for $25 then changing the reason to something else is just pure disrespect. This man is disabled and a senior citizen. Absolutely no compassion. read more

FranTM here and just wanted to take the time to write a Shout Out to the EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE for Patrice R. at the Vallejo, CA Store. This Lady was not only thorough and patient with me, she practically did her job with a smile. My hats off to her and the staff who supports her. Blessings to you all. Thank you. read more

I usually get a money order every month here with no questions asked besides how much, but today made me not want to go here anymore. Not sure if the lady that helped me was new but she asked me a lot of personal questions about my money order like what do I need it for, what type of bill, you owe them only that much , what are they going to do since you're getting a higher amount than what you owe made me feel very uncomfortable read more

Great services are offered but I think management needs to revive or refresh.. i knew I should've went somewhere else.. used my WHOLE LUNCH HOUR literally waiting. They had 1 employee during 12 o'clock rush ....2nd employee comes back from lunch only to assist the 1st employee ... 3rd employee comes in 5 min later sees the line takes her sweet time to login I loudly say I only have a 30 min lunch hoping 1 of the 3 employees would realize Time management and serious customer service should be MANDATORY TRAINING and implemented ACTIVELY AND DAILY. MAYBE THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE SUCH A LOW POOR RATING. read more

Great service, friendly and usually quick. Will cash personal checks with low rates, have been going here for years

This is the worst customer service ever came here to pick up money a friend owes me via western union this place is some bullshit. 3 workers 2 people being helped the other broad in the back has not even acknowledged myself or other custoner who is waiting. This is ridiculous how they stay open is beyond me. At least sat thanks for your patience or something. Im ready to bounce but already waited so fucking long ...the other potential customer walked out... Step your game up Fuck lazy read more

As a account holder I'm telling you this business is as horrible as it's workers gluttony the 300 pound lady behind the counter wouldn't cash my check because I had put my signature on it before interning and said to come back in seven days as I told them the happing they walked away to the the food cart in the office area and yelled the disrespect of saying it's company rule so I called corporate and that person was just as unprofessional as they workers I had just walked away from so do yourself a favor bring food if u want these workers to help you or they might walk out on your transaction for food and leave read more

Horrible customer service plus they never have money!! They don't even have money to cash small checks! Despite being a "Check Cashing" place! After 4 times of going there and them saying they can't cash my small checks I'm not going back!! Waste of time! read more

It literally took Carmen an hour to handle a transaction that should only have taken five to ten minutes. Doesn't seem like see enjoys her job. Took a personal call and talked in Spanish for five minutes. Very unprofessional and doesn't seem like she likes her job. Two other customers came in for same kind of help and were help within five minutes. read more

All of them are rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this location. Cashmax is better.

Nearly 2 years since my last review and this place is still the freaking worst! Waited in line nearly 15 minutes to be told... "money order machine is down" ... a sign on the door or an occasional announcement might be helpful rather then telling customers after waiting in line forever! This place sucks...but also so does every other place in Vallejo so here I am once again giving these fucks my business. Smdh. read more

I've gone here several times for different services they offer and every time is very pleasant. All the ladies, and 1 guy, that work there are extremely nice and friendly. Sometimes the wait is long depending on the time of day or evening, but they always greet u as u walk in. I've been to other branches but this bar far is my favorite one. Another thing that I rly like is the fact that they seem to remember all their customers by name...that's rly good especially for business. Thanks alot to the great staff...love all guys! read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced, how these women are still employed is beyond me. Three clerks behind the glass, not in any rush to help...to say they are slow is an understatement. It wouldn't matter if the line is going out the door, they are not going to make any effort to hurry or make sure you have a great customer experience. I went there to receive a western union transaction right before my chemotherapy appointment, despite the fact I had already received my western union money transfer several times before at this location...the clerk decided that she would change the rules as my middle name which is on my drivers license was not on the transaction...even though I had done this several times already. She was very rude, completely lacking in customer skills, patience and understanding. Service at this establishment depends soley on the mood of it's disgruntled employees. Don't waste your time and ruin your day, go somewhere else. Thank goodness I had enough money to go to Cash Max who completed the transaction with no hassles and a wonderful FRIENDLY atmosphere, where your buisness is APPRECIATED!!!!!!! read more

Be prepared to be here for at least 30 minutes, although no one was in the store but me. I will never in my life send money through this place again!!!! Super irritated read more
