And while prices are high everywhere, CA Burrito remains one of the less expensive places to eat overall, especially if you order one of their specials. Huge portions on many of their dishes, it's rare if we don't get a 2nd meal for later. Awesome chips and house made salsa while you wait. FRESH pineapple at the salsa bar! The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean, only lost a star on ambience for me because of the fast food feel of the fluorescent lit dining room. This place is kinda meh okay!! They're a bit pricey for a fast food joint, and though their food IS good, it may not be worthy of the price we pay for it. But very big portions! I usually would get the quesadilla but the chicken tasted a bit strange last time so this time I switched it up this time around and got their 5 rolled tacos and a shrimp taco and 2 churros and if I could add in the picture they look like they are filled with something like raspberry? That's why I wanted to try a couple in the first place but these were just plain which is fine but unfortunately when I got home the taco was beef not shrimp and the rolled tacos were also beef so yeah they did mess up my order:( I will say the staff here are VERY very friendly!!! The menu and options are humongous so they understand when you need a minute to place an order most definitely! But I just think I will be switching up the options next time and double checking my order to make sure it's what I paid for because as I mentioned, it's not on the cheap side. Ambiance is nice! As this place is fairly new it actually used to be a Burger King (if I'm being fully transparent, I wish they would have kept that BK location here) but they completely remodeled it and turned it into this place so it is clean, bright, and lovely! Second visit to this little dive next to a Taco Bell. Last visit I had the Asada super burrito and 3 rolled tacos with cheese. I'll admit, it wasn't as good as the taco truck I frequent but it was decent. This visit I opted for 5 rolled tacos (taquitos essentially) and a super chicken burrito. Have to say the chicken burrito was really good. On par with what I'm used to getting from my local taco truck. Rolled tacos were absolutely drowned in gauc and cheese. They are much better with the guacamole than without. Location is easy to get in and out of. Has that old school fast food joint to it. Almost like they took over from a McDonalds. Indoor and outdoor seating available and if you're in the area late at night the drive through is open late. Last time I swung through it was near midnight and it was still open. The girl at the window in the drive through is super nice, and definitely deserves recognition. Happy with the speed of service and quality of the food. I haven't eaten inside so can't comment honestly about it, so leaving that for when I stop by earlier in the day. If you're in the Sorona area, it's worth a shot! read more

This place is so good. I usually have some rolled tacos and also a crispy taco plate. The tacos remind me of a little place I used to go to growing up. The staff is amazing. I usually go through the drive through but have went inside once or twice. The inside is colorful and clean. I will definitely be back. It is like a visit to my past every time I visit. 3.5 stars. Found this new chain restaurant and it was open until 12am so we liked that as late evening food options were limited in the area. Ordered their namesake California super burrito but that was a fail as potatoes in a Mexican burrito was just weird and didn't really go well together. We also got the chicken taco and carnitas taco. The size of these were good and filling. The chicken was good but the carnitas was great. The meat was soft and tasty. We consider ordering pozole but it was over priced at $17 including tax, no thanks. read more

I asked for chips and salsa but it wasn't included in my drive-through order. They are very friendly and I should have just double checked everything before I drove away. I have been here around a half dozen times now, and recommend dining in, because they have a nice salsa bar inside that you don't get to enjoy via the drive thru. If there was a way to give zero stars I would. We have traveled around the nation and this was actually in the top three worst restaurants we tried, not even Mexican restaurants, just restaurants. The food had no flavor, no spice, not even salted. They got order wrong twice, as wells Crazy stuff. Kids liked the churros tho. Decided on chicken enchiladas and lingua burrito. Holly crap 37$. There was salsa bar with nasty chips, rotten cucumber and other unappetizing salsas. We passed. Order was delivered tableside with a few minutes. A lot of food was delivered however it was "terrible". Burrito was mostly rices and beans. Enchiladas again overly rice and beans with way way way to much sauce. So let's sum it up. Mediocre at best food. Crappy service and way way way way too over priced. This was the least impressive Mexican food I've ever had. We ordered a couple of breakfast plates. Machaca and eggs,and chorizo and eggs. Both were room temp at best. There are many Mexican restaurants in Sonora. We won't be returning to this one. They do have a nice salsa bar and the restaurant was clean. read more

But it's the only place you can get lunch in TuoCo made from fresh, real food FAST and for under $6.00. Thier taco portions are generous, fair priced, and sooo tasty. They give free servings of side salsa too. Mini tacos are 2/$5 on Tuesdays and also have generous meat portions. The drive thru staff is always friendly and there's never a wait. The food is unlike what you will get around here, they give you extra sauce and offer great substitutions for certain meats/sides. The Agua Frescas are so rare around here and they did so well with their 4 different flavors. The staff is always friendly and understanding with great attitudes. The overall ambiance seems relaxed and well organized. I will say the only reason I give this a 4 star review is the drive thru speaker phone does not work very properly and have seen elderly customers needing to exit their vehicle to order which is unfortunate. read more

Decided to give them a try and man I'm not impressed, the beans and rice tasted bad the cheese with it wasn't even melted and it was crispy and bland, the taco had no flavor to it, the only thing I liked was the aqua fresca, but looking back the water they used had to be nasty from those old lines. I'm not sure why other folks had bad experiences but California Burrito is one of the best fast food Mexican restaurants in the county. I grew up with home cooked Mexican food so I know what good Mexican food is, California burrito has good Mexican food. they do charge more but they give you alot of food, their combo's are like two meals. I can't speak on the entire menu but their crispy beef tacos are awesome. the rice, beans and enchiladas are like what my Mexican grandmother would make. the burritos are huge and tasty. the one thing I have tried when they first opened that wasn't great for some wierd reason was their carne asada, just didn't have much flavor. I'll probably give the carne asada another try because everything else I tried at California burrito had been so good, maybe the cook was learning how to make asada went they just opened. read more
