This company was a breath of fresh air from the minute I walked into their office unannounced on a cold winter snowy day. I was warmly greeted by Dayton, and Kim I had a unique situation as I needed a retrofit to match an existing 25 yr old granite kitchen counter? Kim found a substantial size 10' slab I needed, at a supplier in New Jersey. Then it was shipped to Albany, Kim encouraged me to go look at and compare . Once I gave the Ok Kim shipped it back to her shop in Kingston. In the interim her crew came to my house and removed the old counter, and made the needed template. Making sure all was to their standards for install. We set the install for two months later as I was about to leave for vacation. While I was away, Caliber crew cut the slab to exact template and cut the sink. I sent the sink directly to Caliber per Kim's help and direction. The install was a date almost 60 days out per my schedule. On the exact day of install, a crew of three headed by Miguel (also did removal and template) showed up 8:30 sharp. The installation is flawless, combined with impeccable clean up and professionalism from start to finish. I'm a builder of numerous homes, and I owned and operated the largest Home Improvement company in Dutchess county for forty years. The entire process of picking our granite for the kitchen and 2 bathrooms was very easy and the install was perfect. When we noticed a slight imperfection in the largest slab in the kitchen, Caliber quickly agreed to replace it and did so immediately. We couldn't have been happier since the install was during the height of COVID in Oct 2020 and businesses were not running smoothly at that time. Now, 4 years later, I noticed that the edge of the white quartz around one of the bathroom sinks was staining and that it was somewhat rough. Kim at Caliber responded right away to my emailed pictures and scheduled her team to come to my home over an hour away and grind the edge at no charge. This happened within 2 weeks of my email. I was actually blown away. The outcome was perfect. At 74 years of age and 7 kitchen remodeling projects, this is the best company that I have ever used for countertops. I would not recommend to anyone. I went in there looking for countertops for the brand new home we were building. I went there on a weekeday in the afternoon and three woman were seated at a desk. I waited for them to acknowledge me for several minutes and when they did acknowledge me they had an attitude. I explained the situtation that I would need Quartz countertops ASAP and was ready to pick out selections/complete the sale. We needed countertops to get CO for the property. The only reason we went there was the builder said they had the dimensions of the counters we needed, as he did work with them in past on this layout. When i asked if they save that information they looked at me like i was crazy and said we can't save all the projects we work on. This is 2018 and you heard of a computer right. Maybe they had a bad day but this was not a good start. Good New is we went to Herzog's and had a great experience. Maybe the job was too small for them only $8,000? Bottom line I don't deal with who can't be professional and helpful. read more

I have had a few jobs completed in the past with Caliber with good results and the staff are nice enough people but I feel obligated to share my recent experience. I needed a small piece of stone for an island - a simple rectangle. They have some beautiful selection of remnants - quartz, marbles etc. In the process they mixed up the order and cut it to the dimensions of a different customer, which ruined the piece that my client and I spent hours choosing. I had to go back and find a replacement. I had to keep calling them to check on whether it was done - this was after months! The management and communication was disjointed and I can't even elaborate on all the tiny f*ck ups along the way! The piece came out lovely in the end but wow. Caliber, if you're reading this review, I hope you'll improve your process to keep clients coming! Sorry but I'm out! read more

Caliber came to look at job in a very timely manner, gave me an estimate and came back to do the work. I was very impressed with the quality and care of the workmanship!! They measured around our sink wrong and would not fix it. The overhang was way too far which cut into our sink and made it much smaller than it should be. They didn't want to be bothered and kept saying that was how they always do it. We saw the work of other installers which was clearly the right way to maximize the size of the sink. The lead installer spoke no English which should have been a red flag. Wish we chose someone other than Caliber. read more

This business is easy to work with and clearly puts the customer first, from the initial selection and design of counter top materials, through final installation. There was a glitch in the ordering process which caused extra days between having my kitchen measured, with a template being made, and delivery and installation of my new quartz counter tops, but I was given a professional discount for the inconvenience. The installation team of 4 worked like a well-oiled machine. The team lead is a perfectionist and an expert craftsman, who dealt with a difficult problem uncovered during installation cleverly, quickly and professionally. The install team was very respectful of me and my home, protecting the floors with tarps and doing as much of the cutting and sanding outside as was possible.n. When cutting had to be done indoors the business end of a shop vac was held as close as possible to the saw to suck up the dust. The team cleaned up thoroughly once finished, and even swept the deck where they'd been cutting outside! I cannot praise this business enough! Absolutely superior! UPDATE: 02/17/18 - One year later, the caulk sealing the back splash to the counter top has receded leaving a gap large enough to easily slip a business card into along most of the joint. When I called the company, I was told that I was responsible, not them. They will fix for a hefty charge. I feel that the work quality should be warrantied for more than one year. read more

Up until the installation, I would have given Caliber a higher rating. The purchase procedure was simple and friendly and we were given clear directions as to what to expect before installation. The stone selection was good, and because we didn't buy an entire slab, we paid a lower per foot price. Good savings. The stone is really gorgeous. So what was the problem? The man who did the measuring for the vanity top made a mis-measurement during templating so when the installers came there was a piece which was too narrow. The installers hoped we'd accept that piece but it really didn't look right to us. The front desk said that they would cut us a new piece and they did. However, instead of getting it to us right away, they made us wait. And wait. So the sinks, faucets, and shower were delayed for two+ weeks. When a company makes an error, they should make it right as fast as they can. That said, the end product is lovely. read more
