Dave and his team replaced several doors and windows on my house and also replaced ceiling tiles with drywall in several rooms. Unlike a lot of the contractors I've dealt with in the Catskills area, he was prompt with communication and his crews showed up when he said they would. As is the norm with older houses like mine, they encountered unexpected issues along the way, but Dave communicated those to me each time to let me know. Dave and his crew completed a difficult job on my house in Saugerties. It started as a "simple" foundation drain installation but after they excavated they discovered that I really didn't have a true foundation on part of my old house. Dave was up front and prompt with the update and completed the new, complicated job, very well. To complete the job they had to take down part of my fence and tear up my front lawn and walkway. When they were done with the job they put everything back together. I highly recommend them. read more

I tasked Dave with a number of projects (5) at one time and had to chase him down for 5 + weeks just to get an estimate which he delivered without a breakdown of cost per each project, just a total cost for the entire job. After requesting said breakdown and another week or two, he came back with a pricing breakdown that quite surprised me, not in a good way. I was prepared for this mega project to be in the 35-45 Thousand dollar range so big numbers were not going to surprise me until he broke down what he wanted to charge me for paving my driveway......$19,900. I had already received 4 written and one verbal estimate on the same driveway job and those estimates all fell within the $9,500 - $12,200 range. Immediate red flag. I should have taken the clue that something wasn't completely OK with this when It took over a month and repeated requests just to get an estimate. I can't comment on his work as obviously we never got there, so take this for what it's worth...... a tiny glimpse into how Dave operates and you can decide if you want some of this for yourself. This is probably the saddest example of nice people who just don't know what they're doing :/. Hired Dave for a large raised deck with part having a roof, fencing, a stone patio and excavation for under deck parking. Pretty much everything you could imagine going wrong did, outside of a 2 week estimate lasting 4 months, the sewer line was hit, twice in the same day with an excavator bucket even though the location was known... It was repaired for an extra charge, and 4 months later had to be dug up and redone because the pitch went uphill instead of down pushing sewage back into my basement, and had a rubber t connection, installed backwards, which was also collapsed... Found this out the night before 5 friends planned to come up for the weekend, and had to cancel last minute since they wouldn't be able to flush the toilets during their stay. Also, the drain for the basement was torn out, never replaced and covered up with dirt. I only found out after 3 days of rain made my sump pump spew sewage tainted water like a geyser in my basement (due to sewer line issues noted above), so a new line had to be dug and installed. That and a drain had to be installed to direct the water pitched to pool against my footing to go to the road... For the metal roof added to the covered portion of the deck, they used caulk instead of flashing against the house, and tried to convince me it'd work the same, had to hassle them for weeks to add the flashing. Oversized gates were installed on the fence, only wanted 4ft, where 2 little brackets were added to support a 6ft gate that was also attached to a crooked post that had to be repaired twice so far. And when I went to park under the deck, my tires sank on one side, they tried to convince me it was rain water that wasn't drying because the deck was blocking the sunlight...turns out it was the french drain that was also broken during excavation and covered up with dirt instead of being repaired, so that line had to be installed. I now need to pay a professional plumber to inspect the work, obviously don't trust theirs, have my basement professionally cleaned, and lines scoped. These are just the highlights, soooo many other small things, and countless hours spent doing the work of a project manager since they don't have one, they will skyrocket your blood pressure and take time off of your life with the maddening mistakes. Even after all that, not bad people, but good Lord are they bad at the work...I really recommend you save yourself the long lasting grief... Do not hire! Subpar work and No project management! BEWARE! .Will just take your money! I REPEAT DO NOT HIRE!

Dave started out good. Did a nice job . The job was $14,000 to side a 2 story house and a truck of gravel for the driveway. Siding was done in June 2018 . Neither of us realized that Dave's crew covered my rear Gable vent we're talking about a 16" by 24" vent. Fast forward. I had a house inspection because I was selling my house. Only to find organic growth in the attic I went to look. The Gable vent was covered. I notified Dave and sent pictures. He apologized. And assured me that it would be taken care of that was April 22,2021 I even put screws through the siding to mark were to cut. First excuse was the weather. Even though I was at the house for 2 weeks. I came up from Florida. Texted him in May , again said he would get to it.Went back up in July still wasn't done gave me some BS about he seen a work order but wasn't sure. After that I sent him pictures proving that it wasn't done. No response So I had to fly up in August. With over 100 degrees weather, and cut the opening and install an exhaust fan. Plus take Care of the organic growth. Between air fare , materials and time . I'm out over $1,200.00. Still no response yet from Dave. Started great but doesn't open up to the mistakes HIS CREW MADE!
